#new format custom_model_data
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
a few months ago I moved my server from 1.21.3 to 1.21.4 but I saw that the deluxe menus was not compatible with the new model_data format, so I had to go back to 1.21.3 and now that a few months have passed I wonder if they have updated to the new format so that the plugin is compatible, since I am using the deluxe menus and I have custom menus with invisible items but when I had tested months ago those invisible items did not become invisible using the model_data.
DeluxeMenus 1.14.1 supports Custom Model Data Component. This new component is what Mojang replaced the old Custom Model Data with.
Please read the update notes and/or the wiki on model_data_component.
oh perfect, thanks
.
I've been looking at the wiki, but there isn't much useful information there either.
I was able to solve it, the model_data continues working with the new texture pack format of 1.21.4 so there is no need to use the Model Data Component
how you solved it? model_data not working on my server on 1.21.4+ versions client side.
I am using the nexo add-on, which is used to add custom elements to Minecraft. What I did was enter “MATERIAL: nexo-invisible” in the “MATERIAL:” section. Invisible would be the invisible item, and that is how I managed to make it work.
You know you can just put “AIR” as the material in deluxe menus?
But still, in theory, it should work without using the Nexo plugin. Using only a texture pack should work. If I find my texture pack, I'll let you know how I made it work without using Nexo.
No need for custom invis texture
I understand, but my server uses texture packs for custom menus, which is why I use nexo. Otherwise, I wouldn't even use it.
Mine does too haha
I was just stating a possible feature because you mentioned this
Oh ok i did same, I used itemsadder's default invisible item, but it doesn't work for lower versions below 1.21.4 it shows arrows instead of invisible item.
Air item doesn't show lore and displayname, i already tried it
I do have texturepack and it has invisible item, but it doesn't work above 1.21.4 versions because of item model thing.
I used item_model: minecraft:blank
Blank is texturepack's invisible item model name.
just use the nexo id for the material ID
You should really have a look at the wiki.. Prob the most useful tool when getting started
@wooden jolt
Nexo is a paid plugin, right?
yes
The Nexo plugin is available on Polymart, in case you want to buy it.
