Hi ! I'm building my server rn and I want to use delux menu with luck perm to create a menu where you can rank up.
I've seen this in many servers, but i wonder how they are doing, like if i'm rank 1, i can only click on rank 2, and then when i ranked up to rank 2, i can only click on rank 3 to show what is needed. How are they doing , because with the same command, the menu seems to don't be the same , depending on your actual grade ?

Also, in some servers, you need items to rank up, and you can, for exemple, give 2 of the 6 diamonds you need to rank up. And then it's written 2/6 next to the diamonds. How do they do this ?

They usually use a quest plugin and deluxemenus together

for the ranks upgrade system, refer to wiki- https://wiki.helpch.at/helpchat-plugins/deluxemenus/example-gui-menus#ranks
and to show the requirement (like you said <have>/<required> thing), you can use 2 placeholders (of checkitem expansion) inside the lore of an item you set in the menu

but i some servers

you need like 16 diamonds to rank up

but if you have 6 on your inventory

you can "give them" to the rank up menu

and it ' ll be shown 6/16 diamonds, in the diamonds lore

something like %checkitem_amount_mat:DIAMOND% would work

try /papi parse me %checkitem_amount_mat:DIAMOND% while having a specific amount of diamonds in your inventory

Oh it works i didn't downloaed the chek item expansion

It now returns my diamonds number !

yeah you can put it inside the lore of the item
eg: %checkitem_amount_mat:DIAMOND%/16

aint sure what will it return if u have 0 dias

When i click on the diamonds

it chekcs if i have 8 diamonds

if yes , it clear my 8 diamonds

close the menu

re open the menu

(to refresh it)

and give me a new permissions

and i put 2 items on the same slots, and you see a diamonds with lore 8/8 only if you have the permission

so 2/8 is a thing

since quest plugins save it in database
