#New to PlaceHolderAPI

Am I missing something, or doing something that isn't how its suppose to be done?
As stated in the Title, im still very new to this API and would like to implement it into my future plugins.
I've watched videos on how to do it, even copy and pasted (essentialy) from the video to see maybe I typed something, or did something wrong.

I used (Player) sender instead of (p) which is Player p = (Player) sender because I thought maybe the assigned var was the issue, but it wasn't so Im coming to you guys for some help and guidence.

Before coming here, yes.
I tested player, and player_name with, and without the Expansion.

I can give it another go and see if I was just smooth braining it.
