#How do you get emojis to work on minimessage MOTD instead of turning into "?"

The MOTD I want is
line1="<white>✪ <dark_purple><bold>GhoCom <dark_gray>- <underlined><dark_gray><obfuscated>GhostCompany<reset><black>-<white>✪"
line2=" <white><<The first ever <dark_purple><bold><italic><underlined>BOW PvP</underlined>!<reset><white> server>>"

The problem are the ✪ (and yeah I've tried with other emojis)

  • Velocity
  • this is using miniMOTD, but it's also not working even without it
  • 1.19.4
