It should! Some expansions could be compiled with Java 11 though, which would mean you would need Java 11 installed.
If you're on the latest version of Minecraft, you should be using at least Java 17, which will support everything.
Well thank you if minecraft 1.12.2 java 8 will work the statistical extension.
Please tell me which version is needed for the Placeholder API if minecraft 1.12.2?
