I created my server on 1.15, the newest version of the time, not knowing that minigame servers are supposed to be on 1.8 and now I can't get the maps to backdate
I was told by a friend that FAWE could backdate maps with schematics (but turn modern blocks into air) but that turned out to be wrong. In fact, I even had to remove FAWE and use worldedit instead, since people in FAWE discord server don't give out downloads for older versions (and the schems dont work in older versions)
Is there any way to backdate the maps?
I really need help with this, I've asked everywhere and found no real answer
#Issue with server version, looked for an answer for MONTHS. Please help

@split stag yes.
A way to work around this is to use ViaVersion and then connect on the version you want- and then make the schematic.
That's what I did multiple times
May I ask - What did you use to make the schematic? worldedit or FAWE? and did it have to be a legacy version of worldedit or FAWE or just regular?
Schematica
No I mean I want to save a schematic that auto - builds
like with FAWE
I can't rebuild it block by block
Yes- you make a schematica file using the mod schematica
And then paste it using FAWE
Would you be able to show me how to do this?
Not for a little while, I have contracted COVID and am not in any state to get out of bed nor join any call of any kind.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. We could do it in a week or two, or I could find help elsewhere. Get well soon : D
@supple creek Hello, I know this thread is basically dead now, but I seriously need your help. I hope you are feeling better, and I understand if you are not, but finishing this server is basically my dream and I would be forever grateful for help.
@split stag
I'll try and re-explain what I ment earlier with this:
Step 1: Install viaversion/viabackwards/viarewind on the server.
Step 2: Restart the server
Step 3: Log in with your desired version and schematica-
NOTE: Some blocks may be changed for others, this is due to how via version works
Step 4: Make your schematica
Step 5: Import the schematica you just made onto the new server by pasting it into fawe/schematics then load the schematic using fawe, and paste it as you want.
pretty good idea tbh
:))))
yeah but a lot of plugins use the data of that to paste things in
No worries
thats just for 1.12.2 btw
I think I need 1.8 though
okay I think I can do it now
I tried it and it sorta worked, but when the map is pasted in, it has lots of chunks missing. It's almost cut perfectly in half, diagonally. All of the measurements and copy and pasting was done correctly. Is there a limit of how many blocks can be in a schematic?
It only copies what it can se
