Placeholder Statistics Player Kills always shows the value 0, even when I carry out several murders.

So, if you execute /papi parse me %statistic_player_kills% it shows 0?

If so you might have statistics disabled on your server.

I know there was an option to disable/enable them in one of the config file but I Don't remember which. Try looking in spigot.yml

ah yeah. found it. look in spigot.yml. there should be this option, possible at the end of the file:

stats:
  disable-saving: false```

#

if that is set to true, it means that your stats are not actually being saved
