Instead of having a regular forum that people can Google to find answers, we now have to repeat ourself tens of times.
My feedback would therefore be that forums should be viewable without an account and should be indexed on search engines
It would save people from answering the same question… it’s a bit tiring answering the same question years due to the transition to discord replacing forums

So… searching keywords within the discord will also search forum names, however, it does still not change the fact that you can’t google that and that yes, those who do not search would likely end up making a new post.
What if there were x categories, each having a separate topic, to keep things organized.
In doing so, we would need to wait for discord to create a way to prevent users making new posts, but that is an option.

we're just making this an addition to the old style chat
and yeah for programming it really doesn't make sense to have forums inside discord
for plugins on the other part, we can use this as more of a ticket system.
since you can filter based on tags and stuff, not just by title

that's why our FAQ system exists for example
and to be honest sometimes I do this as well. I try my best not to since I've been offering support for over 2 years now and I Know how it feels but sometimes I Just can't be bothered

I think you should keep both plugin help text chats but add a additional forums channel that has FAQ support methods for the very commonly asked questions (such as config problems and other issues) so people have a guide to fix something and if that doesn't work they can go to the original text chats for help

only trusted members can submit these common error fixes so it would be a archive of all the know issues people ask with each plugin, the reason for trust member posting access is some misinformation doesnt get spread around

Basically discord got complacent with adding new features after there failure with selling games, so a platform like discord called guilded ripped the discord formula off but added this feature and a bunch of stuff that was really cool, when discord noticed that guilded doubled in the users it had within a month they started adding features like stage and forums to make it less useful going over to a competitors app, the only thing i wish discord would do is add that a percentage of a server boost goes to the server owners or you could actually donate monthly to a server for a rank and the money goes to the server owners (except a small fee) guilded has it but discord only does stuff that effects making more money so they would never add that feature as it cuts into discords profits
oh and guilded has servers within a server which means your a tag away from being in a extra little server for certain things its really useful for sub or follower servers but cant expect that

also guilded made it so you can import a discord server template makes switching easier if it ever takes off more, and they have a whisper feature like teamspeak

They most likely have some compression algorithms and what happened is that whenever someone leaked them they just opened using UTF8 so it looked all weird

I like this "help" format, it's easy to see who still needs help (comments are usually lost in normal mode) and resolved cases are left behind, I also like that by putting a title, it's easier for some to see of what is going, and help if you know about the subject
