Generally anti-lag plugins are situational, as in they only help if you need the tools they provide. For example, if you have a issue with too much redstone an antilag plugin may help. It may also replace some player habits that cause lag (such as using lots of hoppers for their farms).
When choosing a plugin that provides a toolset (such as an antilag plugin), make a list of what you need and try seeing if any plugin on the market allows you to do that.
@Panic.exe#7526 LagAssist does provide that, but it's paid and costs quite a bit. I don't recommend purchasing it if all you need is to see the CPU. An alternative would be finding a plugin that can read files and read /proc/cpuinfo (as LagAssist does), or alternatively try to do "lscpu".

Literally the second they notice students sending data using ICMP, they'll use the handy google book and find out what it is/why students are using it for gigabytes of data (students would 100% use this to watch Netflix at school), or know of it from experience. Not every school admin is completely useless. I know, because I used the tunnel to bypass my school's VPN block and got given a tour of how their software works.
Not sure if the software where you are is somehow worse than what we have in New Zealand, but if it's >= then they know. Just depends on if they care enough to stop it.

Running a 1.15 server with ~30 players yields about 10TPS. So, with Spigot, and later, Paper, I think we might be able to hold 80 players on a single instance at around 15-17TPS
This is of course, looking at a full Vanilla experience with no hardcore optimisations. If we disable and/or modify things, maybe we could get up to 100, but, I doubt we'll get there right off the bat. Maybe 1.15.(3-4) will have some improvements.

Minecraft 1.15 looks cool, but to me it just looks like Minecraft versions are rushed.
In the past you'd expect a version to be released yearly over half a year meaning you'd expect more.
We'll be reaching v20.0 by 2021.

nothing wrong with that, it might seem rushed but they're just going to make more updates over a smaller period of time with less stuff in it.
which is a lot better imo. Giving newer features sooner and allows them to fix stuff much quickly and get feedback much more easily

I think I posted about this before, but, we seem to be facing a weird network related issue on one of my servers. Players are stuck on a long joining screen and they get kicked. But, the server picks it up as a join
The current setup is as follows:
Proxy: Latest Waterfall
Lobby: Latest 1.12.2 Paper
Survival: Latest 1.14.4 Paper
Steps I have taken:
Set the connection-throttle to -1 for both the Bukkit and Proxy servers
Set the network-compression-threshold to 512 on the Bukkit servers (I know -1 is recommended when behind a Proxy, but, it seemed that caused even more issues)
Added the -Dpaper.playerconnection.keepalive=300 startup parameter for all Bukkit servers
It seems that a restart will fix it for a random, short amount of time before it goes back to this.
Other diagnostics:
I've tried running the servers with plain JARs (no plugins on both), and it's the same thing.
I've tried skipping the lobby and having them join right into Survival, and the same thing occurs.
I've even tried removing the Proxy and having it just be a solid Survival server, and it's still the same.
We're running https://www.ovh.com/world/dedicated-servers/game/1901mc03.xml as our server, and there seems to be no issues on the actual server, network wise.
Anyone got an idea?
