Hi !

I have a problem with /give in essentialsX 1.12.2
Some of the items aren't recognized.

For exemple, when i make :
/give playername 384 1
/give playername exp_bottle 1
/give playername experience_bottle 1

The server say :

"Error : Unknown item ID : 384"
"Error : Unknown item name : exp_bottle"
"Error : Unknown item name : experience_bottle"

But, when i use the default command of minecraft :
/minecraft:give playername minecraft:experience_bottle 1
That is ok but the item is dropped and I have a message of the server in the chat...

Someone can help me to give exp bottle by essential, not by the server...

Hey :D
I made a server where players can create there own worlds!
I want to make a buisness solution for guys with money.
My idea was to give them a deticated server , a domain and support from me!
I created a GUI that manages (for now only the MOTD xD) the deticated server and want to add an option into the GUI that creates a server from template (EXAMPLE: the player can choose 1. normal 2. bedwars-server 3. skywars-server)
The only one example for me is normal (world nether end with plugins like essentials)
Bedwars and skywars are hard to make work because it needs many time of work

Anyone know a other idea for template?

1.14 (going off the Snapshots, and information given) will be a great update for any server that isn't combat oriented. The released Snapshots for it have provided great resources to almost every other part of the MC community (Survival, Creative, Redstoners, Data Pack Makers, Command Block Users, etc). Not to mention it'll have an amazing performance increase over 1.13, which is aids for servers (try hit 200 players on a single instance). A lot of other things are server sided now (including the new async lighting engine, which makes adding "fake light" easier!), making customisbility nicer (new UIs, new mobs, etc). A lot of old standing bugs were also fixed, and internal libs were updated.

I need some advice. My 16 player max server is whitelisted because I don't want a whole bunch of players coming in at once, plus I need players who can build the features of the map like shops and xp farms first and make it a community server. a small community is good which is what you’ll have for a very long time it isn’t that your server will blow up and have 500 players so don’t worry about a whitelist

@shy robin I am thinking about taking the whitelist off, but when I ran my test server and took off the whitelist I got six players on in an hour but most of them were squabbling and asking for ranks and one of them even asked for OP.

^ Just set it up so that people can only build & break where you want. As for whitelisting, if people try connecting and can't get on they'll move onto another server

It sounds like Raspberry wants a community like MineCrack or HermitCraft- where people are respectful blah blah blah...

That will not work unless you hand pick those people yourself and even then, you need to trust those people to be good- which most will not, given the chance...

You don't necessarily have to hand pick players who are respectful, just encourage players to be welcoming and friendly towards new members and discourage that negative behavior. It might take some time, but eventually you'll weed out the bad players and the community can build itself. The server I co-owned was very much community based, although it was small and gameplay was pretty basic players came for the community we had built around it. Same reason most stayed 😃

Really depends what you're going for, if you want something open to everyone then whitelist off; if you want something private for you and some friends I'd whitelist it

The reason for the whitelist is just to keep those players off. It grew to about eleven players and then because chunks were not loaded in my server crashed. That's why I want to start off small and have people random teleport to load in the chunks whilst keeping lag to minimum.
