Really you have to start optimization from the start when building.

One of the first things you'll want to do is pregen your entire world.

Depending on your gamemode, you can install some optimising plugins:

Then, do the obvious

• Remove unneeded plugins (with 61+, you can definately remove some)
• Get a dank ClearLag config
• Pregenerate your world

One of the main reasons servers tend to fail and crash is because people don't generate all the chunks and when you have 100 players on or so running around generating new chunks it'll tank your TPS.

What GIan said is good for most servers but if there's a part in there you don't need, save it for later and use it then if you need it.

For stuff like redstone and hoppers, those are more Faction geared improvements.

Still, 61 plugins is a lot. I rebuilt a server from scratch that had around 151 plugins down to 42.

So, there's always room for improvement.

Also, what are your guys' opinions on a developer focused SkyBlock plugin? It'll be extremely optimised, and will be focused on being simple, but, as expansive as possible?

Sort of like PAPI Expansions, but, with SkyBlock. The plugin itself would be the basics (pure, classic SkyBlock), and then you'd add "expansions" to add the features you want (island expansions, visible world borders, teams, etc)

It'll be a FOSS plugin developed by professionals who have experience with large, optimised environments

That way, it avoids all the unneeded stuff (like the minishop, etc)
