@velvet crescent nobody said clone a server. I was stating something that i've found repeated on and on and on: people coming with something unique to the table only to get poor responses: people wouldn't bother learning how those unique features worked and leave, or money was spent in the wrong place and eventually you had a unique server that had 0 players on it.
I'm trying to give advice to people so they stop wasting money on nice ideas in theory but false in practice. Most servers that work are classic. They take something that works and scale it up well and fine-tune that. R&D (Going unique) is expensive, risky and 9/10 times it fails. I've worked for years with enterprise networks and small servers at the same time, from 5 players online to 3000 online at peak. The small servers were the ones coming out with "unique" stuff while the big ones were just taking features that worked, spinning them up a bit (changing gamemode names, fiddling with the details a bit), but never changing the core or coming with anything unique except the wording behind the features.
Guess who has now wasted many thousands on building unique servers only to get bashed by players, staff and the world and who won and now is making big bucks

but of course when I use kotlin @Completion("#gameRules") I get a not registered ... something ... something ... something error
