If I recall, the title width for a scoreboard on 1.8 is 32 characters, and the glow effect adds an additional 2 for color, and 2 for formatting (bold), and then a final 4 to reset it. So,
&f&l = 4
&r&5&l = 6
(this is an example)
For the glow to work (assuming you have bold/formatting), you'll need to add that, and then add the characters in your title
