found a server named botwars. they have 0 custom or unique features, not even a custom plugin yet they have 20-30 players (and I assume more to come).

all of this because a youtuber owns it as well

The whole idea for GrowYourServer (a project) was to provide another solution for those who do have a nice server but can’t afford advertising.

Any server can be a success if you have the money or a YouTuber to take it far, but apart from that a custom server is fine if you still have the drive to make it go far

#

Tho “success” is different in each persons eyes, some for the money it generates and others for the players they may get

Chat is clean for the most part, but I’d remove the chat colours for other ranks as it looks horrid imo - the colour of the rank show enough.

Your crates looked nice, but a little hard to find around spawn - and the particle effects felt a bit much.. might just be me though.

Your server has 11gb ram, and I’m guessing you’re spending lots a month on hosting - I personally would drop that to 5-6gb if you’re just starting out, I ran 6gb on a 25 player prison server with shared hosting.. ran fine.

@jade oasis to the above;
a) you’re getting 10 fps more than likely because your pc isn’t capable - I get 50-60 fps on my laptop and it’s high spec, so you can’t expect like 300 fps with those types of shaders.

b) nobody who bought spoof will reveal, the same way I keep all buyers anonymous or it’ll defeat the purpose. As much as I’d like to say how many buyers it has (lots) it would be breaking privacy

ye, well the shaders themselves dont use rtx cores, but rtx gpus are still more powerful overall iirc

I've shared my specs of my laptop here before, but yeah its hard to get more than 60 fps

Plus I combine seus ptgi with a 1024x resource pack
