some dude upgraded from 1.8 to 1.9 to "fix" autosell and that caused A LOT of new bugs, dont really suggest doing that unless you want to redone everything especially that these two versions are very different and not too many plugins still support 1.8 on the last version.

I usually dont use 1.8 unless you have a server which it's based on 1.8 - and I'm not talking about a small pvp arena

eg 1.12 or even higher it's 10/10 for prison imo because of the bigger variety of blocks that you can use for mines

This dude requested a refund for a server he bought A MONTH Ago, was already invoiced for the next month and everything, and I denied the refund because A) our policy states 48 hours after purchase with valid reason, and B) You pay us for us to reserve yoh a slot on our server, not for the resources of that server.
