Honestly, they both look fine, but your main consideration is, hold much heat will you generate. If you are only slightly overclocking, the left one will perform about the same as the other.
More surface (right one) for your heat dissipitation gives it an edge. Just keep an eye on it since it is older.
Make sure the plastic fan blades are absolutely clean.
Do that and you'll be fine. I build a lot of PCs, and sometimes you just have to use a used part. Although, when you DO get the budget, I'd install a new one.
