Tbh the whole eclipse or intellij thing depends on the person. Eclipse is easy to use and it can work well with pretty much every project (it's also got maven support). But IntelliJ is more advanced, has more features when editing your code but in exchange, it's not easy to use straight out of the box like Eclipse

Believe me. If you find Eclipse better and easier, use it. I have guys on my team using Eclipse, some IntelliJ and even a few using NetBeans. It's really what you're comfortable with. @solid elbow
