Might just go with some type of timer, that sends an api request to the projects endpoint every 5-10 mins, since it returns only max 25 projects, I will cycle through all projects on each request, so that it sticks to 1 request every 5-10 mins.

Then will cache it all, and when doing that, if it notices an update on smt, it will notify users.

that's my current idea.

To avoid the maximum amount of calls to the api

Only issue I see is when restarting or whatever, it will need time to make a full cycle again, so might have it sends all the requests on start and then do it like this to keep it updated.

Unsure if storing it locally instead of just in ram is a good idea

will use this, only things I will store locally are project names and ids for the autocomplete. Then when an user tries to get a project, if it isn't cached, I make the api call needed and cache it.
