Neurobinding the drone is the trade off for the power increase by adding the mods. Just like other class weapons.
Engi drones that have been used with these power increasing mods should be no different.
I personally don't see any fairness in allowing Engis to super charge thier drones power, use them for content then mod strip and sell/transfer them between accounts. No other class gets this special treatment. Engi shouldn't either.
If you want the flexibility of being able to move the drones around accounts or sell them when you are done with them you can, at the cost of not adding mods.
