This isn't at all an actionable suggestion or anything, but I wanted to thank the developers and designers and everyone else who has contributed to this game.
Are there any games from your childhood, that you remember fondly and can always return to for comfort or entertainment? For me, that's Star Sonata. I can't remember when exactly I started playing, but it was before we got upgraded to 2 with the 3D graphics, so I had to have been only 12 or so. Not exactly an ideal age to get into MMOs, I was hilariously bad at actually playing. And I also rarely had any money to spend. At the time, free accounts were limited to level 20, which wasn't too big a problem- It took me a while to advance that far anyway.
(I didn't even know how to open the map or really navigate for a while, but I didn't mind- At one point, someone showed me through Deep Space, which was terrifying when you're flying blind. Space really feels empty when you don't know where you're going, it was great.)
I'm a little sad that in all these years of playing I haven't actually had much of an influence on anything, I don't interact with other players very much. But, this game is a big part of what inspired me to get into art and programming, so I'm content to be influenced rather than influential.
MMOs, especially small ones like this, can be terribly ephemeral. I appreciate all the work everyone has done over the years to make this a place I can still come back to. Thanks.
