"The Deag's Despair"

After the defeat of Prince Ahzrak, Argent D'Nur rested easy knowing that the DOOM Slayer was out there, snuffing out Hell's attempts to invade its cities. However, demonic corruption within its complex civilization was not fully destroyed, but rather festering in its holy priests: Deag Grav, Deag Nilox, and Deag Ranak.

Deag Ranak was the easiest to corrupt due to how truly unstable he was, in no means to be among Sentinel Prime's priests. The whispers of Hell's twisted promises and wicked lies tempted the young priest, just as it did the two other priests. Demons began to swarm Argent D'Nur just as it did when Ahzrak was in control, albeit at a much smaller rate. Nonetheless: any demonic activity in Argent D'Nur was unholy, and unwanted. The strongest warriors of the Argenta were effective, but ultimately were no match against the Agaddon Hunters. A message was sent to the Slayer, and he came back, cutting through them like a sickle through a field.

No matter how much the Slayer fought, Argent D'Nur was doomed from the start. While Ahzrak was not able to destroy it, it's biggest weakness was within the inside, starting at its priests. In the Village of Khalim, the Slayer fights a horde brought there by Deag Ranak, who commands it in secret. If the Slayer wins, it'll hinder Hell's progress... but at what cost?
