The Call of Ulsamir

VRRRRRR

THLUP

The Slayer's Shield Saw slices through the restrained Ulsamir, the accursed Witch of the Cosmic Realm held up by cords inside of Ahzrak's ship which she had crashed through after the Slayer used her chaotic magic against her to send her flying. As the shield cut through her, her vision started to wane, her vessel glowing a bright purple before she exploded, taking down Ahzrak's ship.

The moment her vessel exploded, it was like she never left the Cosmic Realm as her spirit returned to it. The body that she was possessing was a temporary, weak vessel to contain her soul.

Without Ahzrak's leadership, the horde was left... aimless. The majority of them were still in Hell, but some still remained in the Cosmic Realm. Ulsamir, despite her realms partnership with Hell, was disgusted by the creatures that roamed her home. Massive, behemoth-like arachnids left behind oil trails. Morbidly obese, cannon-wielding demons shot out flames to cook the tentacles that were native to Ry'uul, gorging upon its flesh. It was a gnarly, hideous sight. Ulsamir possessed a nearby Acolyte, imbuing her power within her temporary vessel to destroy the demonic pests. But, she hesitated. A voice called out to her: the voice of the Okkryth Synthesists, ancient techno-sorcerers hailing from the Cosmic Realm.

Quelling her righteous wrath, the Synthesists gave Ulsamir a new, temporary, stronger Acolyte vessel of which Hell used to lead their battalions. Snapping her out of her blind rage, the Okkryth Synthesists suggested a new purpose for the demonic freeloaders, to be a message to the world of Argent D'Nur that their realm's resolve remained steadfast, and its lethal protector was no match for their fury.

After some time preparing the demonic and Cosmic legions for a battle that determined the fate for their entire realm, Ulsamir exited her vessel and temporarily possessed one of the two hybrid species between their worlds: the Cacodemon. Ulsamir, in her Cacodemon form, returned to Hell, a green portal lying behind in her wake.

The Slayer's wrath was felt throughout the battlefield as a large, behemoth demon, almost the size of the temples in her world, engaged the Slayer in combat. To no surprise, the cybernetic demon fell to his fervor. The rage-filled eyes of the DOOM Slayer locked eyes with the single eye of the Cacodemon that Ulsamir piloted. Familiar with the Cacodemon's physiology, the Slayer instantly knew that this hybrid was not of Hell, the green portal behind it making it even more obvious. Nonetheless, the threat that Hell posed with access to a realm beyond their own was too large to ignore.

Ulsamir quickly left the body of the Cacodemon before it could fall victim to the Slayer's deadly weapons. She possessed her Acolyte vessel once again, as she watched from the distance with the Okkryth Synthesists. If they managed to trap him like they did not too long ago, the realm would live on another day, Argent D'Nur falling with him as an act of revenge for the Slayer's murder of the Old One. If the Slayer won... the Cosmic Realm's fate would be sealed... and so would Ulsamir's fate.
