No restrictions on weapons or BFC usage, though I would recommend choosing either the City of Ry'uul or Village of Khalim maps, as Harbor of Souls feels a bit too forgiving in this case because of how large it is. A time limit somewhere in between 10 and 15 minutes is recommended if you're playing at default game speed.
All rounds were playtested at above nightmare sliders without the BFC, so default nightmare should be quite doable.

I only find the spikes problematic if there are alot of cyberdemons but just a few and they shouldnt be an issue

I don’t mind using a cyberdemon or two but their ground spikes combined with beefy melee pressure units bullying you just turn an encounter into the annoying kind of difficulty

only reason i dont like the spikes is because they can push you around when they appear

I like that the spikes are their way of calling you over to stand and fight but you can only split your attention so much

ground fissure can work wonders in that regard though

#

falter + damage + armor can lead to absurd sustain if there are enough demons in front of you and you dont miss a parry

especially since I run a mod that basically cuts the damage/effectiveness of every rune in half, so I can’t just rely on daggers to delete everything or heaven splitter to just trivialize whole arenas

the hard falter is very nice for some breathing room

Min turn angle is decreased, acceleration is increased, their projectiles themselves don’t contribute to a falter (so you can’t just backpedal while baiting projectiles to avoid their melee), their big ground smash only counts towards a third of their falter bar, so they can immediately start lunging at you after a slam

I don’t as of right now
But essentially the baron treats it as a regular melee attack
So you still have to parry two more swipes to get a falter instead of immediately getting a falter from the slam alone

Although you can intuitively figure most of it out

the loading screen tooltip says barons are "harder to falter than other demons" but many times I will parry other super heavys 2 times without a falter, only getting one the 3rd time

not a problem and it sort of seems intended, it just seems odd to call out the cosmic baron when its actually just inline with the others

For barons, parrying both of their guillotine projectiles will falter them
So will parrying either their ground slam or their tracking “king fireball” projectile
But in regular melee, they require 3 parries in somewhat quick succession to falter

Cyberdemons require two parries to falter, unless they’re leaders in which case they require 3

He doesn’t cover everything but he gets a lot of stuff right
