Davoth's spirit roams the barren wastelands of Hell as he makes a visit to the Council of the Six in the darkest, most insidious parts of Hell. Ahzrak's death, though crippling to Hell's morale, was an inevitable loss because of his arrogance and cowardice.

Davoth himself appears before the Archdemons, instructing them all to lure the Slayer back to the Harbor of Souls, and gives them specific instructions for what demons to summon to kill the Slayer. Each horde would test his ability, but that reason was a cover up for Davoth's true reason.

Davoth knew that the Slayer would overcome these demons. Even if he didn't, he'd be resurrected nearby within the Harbor of Souls, allowing him to come back every time and try again. In a way, this was the Dark Lord's way of testing the Slayer's ability, taunting him as he amusingly watches, studying his moves for their inevitable battle in Immora. Davoth's spirit watches from the barge, lying still, evermore, in his thirst for vengeance.

THE GAUNTLET OF THE DARK LORD

this encounter is very, very overwhelming and is recommended for the mightiest of sentinel's. in addition, it's very parry-focused as well. best of luck

feedback/critiques are welcome

13-20 mins is the best time for this encounter

# foggy trail how did you do it this encounter is kicking me ass 🤣

Perseverance and finding strategies, Rocket Launcher is great (also gives health) Taking out other demons then focusing on the Super heavys,

The Cacos are fairly easy to deal with for me as I learned how to take em out asfasp, due to how annoying they can quickly get, also taking out pressure units(Arachnos, Knights, chaingunners) and fodder first is a big must for staying alive, particularly Arachnos due to their range.

Also check out my pre-sets if you haven't, those are challenging ASF, but had to make sure they were beatable first before releasing! (So far Mancubus Mayhem can take upto 3 hours to beat depending on Skill, longest personal time was just over an hour)

i think i've done the manc mayhem, it was very good.

so far i'm making the most of the rocket launcher and the charged shot with it, but my main issues are getting sandwiched but shit spawns or just an insane amount of projectiles i can't parry and break my sheild. like the revenants burst shots that follow you, one breaks the sheild so when there's 3 revenants then it's game over 🤣

cacos aren't too bad, especially if i can get a charged rocket on them as it wipes them out but the main thing is just the spam of just.. everything 🤣 i know it's a tough challenge but damn 🤣

I finally beat it, definitely the hardest setup in a long time. my only issue is sometimes it feels regardless of skill sometimes my ability to beat it is more luck based, like all the chainguns don't just shred me to pieces or all the revenants don't just kill me instantly. maybe one reveant too many
