Quick PSA to all PC players: Steam has released an Update that** fixes the performances issues you get when you use the Steam Overlay** (especially it's FPS counter).
This update should be installed automatically as soon as you restart Steam.

After Update 1 was released there have been reports of performance issues and crashes for PC players.

DOOM ETERNAL Community Patch Notes ver 5.0

ENEMY CHANGES

Arachnotron

  • Attack, projectile and setup animation speed reduced.

Blood Maykr

  • Javelin charge/attack durations increased.

Cacodemon

  • Max flight speed decreased.

Tentacle

  • Attack range increased.

BATTLEMODE CHANGES

Archvile

  • Can now bunnyhop by holding space/jump.

Mancubus

  • Heavy landing removed and bunnyhop window increased.

Plasma Rifle

  • Damage reduced from 49 to 45.

Team Heal

  • No longer benefits from the Bigger Bar upgrade. Marauder is currently bugged.

Toxic Hazard

  • Damage per tick reduced from 15 to 12.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Pacing and encounter changes made to DLC 1. See the detailed patch notes for specifics.
  • Cheat codes are now available for use in DLC 1.
  • Player can no longer dash up sloped surfaces/walls.
  • Enemy high FPS-dependent behavior issues have been adjusted, but are still an issue.

BUGS INTRODUCED

  • Equipment may randomly become inoperative for unknown reasons and length of time.
  • Walls have become more "sticky" making them easy to get stuck on.
  • Attacks may disappear on demons that are frozen/flamebelched, and sometimes demons that aren't.
  • Other less game-breaking bugs listed in the detailed patch notes.
