Sometimes I’ll get ones evenly done but other times enemy team will have like 2 max lvls and I’ll be with ones around my rank (Echelon 2)
Or the enemy team will have like max people or almost max and mine has like me and someone else. Which I then find total bs when new people join yet somehow they get sent to enemy team, and when we do get someone, it’s too late cause we’re too far and already have our asses handed to us

@dense steeple Did he move with lightspeed? If not, probably he's not a hacker but is actually very good. Since the player base is pretty small, the system will match you with top players.
A quick look on his profile I see the name redsilencer. I have only encountered redsilencer in my games but not Retro. From my exp. redsilencer is a very good player. So high chance that Retro is also very good.
I know it is frustrating but playing against top players also makes you better.

@arctic shard He did not but he showed very obvious signs of wall hacking and even more obvious of aim botting, almost instantly killing any enemy (most of the times using the assault rifle (come on ...)). I've got a pretty good grasp on how good players here can get ( max rank/level myself ) and in this case he's just "too good to be true". redsilencer's comment on Retro's profile was sarcastic, you can confirm this by taking a look at redsilencer's profile comments:

I already encountered some cheaters in my games. The best thing I can do is to quit and accept the loss (but who cares about the stats anyway :)) and play another match

@noble moat yeah I used to try to use the mine, but the other players seemed to always avoid it, so I switched all my loadouts to either tesla rockets or frag.
@hallow galleon You can hit Alt+F4 any time you get stuck. Or miss a jump...but sometimes you get the life-drain glitch when you start your save back up.

yeah, you can start with 2016, it’s where i started too. it took me about five days to complete the game, may take you longer if try to get all of the collectibles but then again i got all of the codex entries- and i’d suggest playing on hurt me plenty if you’ve played a shooter before.

Ah, yeah agreed. Especially enemies like the Hell Razer and Revenant. You falter them, they stand there for a full 3 seconds before they even attempt to attack you again

Enemies are more aggressive on higher difficulties ^ Doesn’t do much though when they approach you the same way so yeah. Nightmare on classic Doom sped up their attacks and actually knew where you were if you made a noise. It was cool
I like how the AI works in 2016 but I will agree that they all act very same-y. Basically bull rush you. It’d be cool if they tried to run away from grenades or something on Nightmare, idk

It’s sooo much more useful in Eternal. 2016, using the Plasma rifle to burn down shields wasn’t that helpful.

I also did a No HP Damage Run on Nightmare, that was fun.

I'm surprised at how closely id are following the formula. First entry is slower, more grounded, fewer enemies, and has better level design. Second entry is way more frantic and abstract, increased bestiary, and tries to add too much at once.

The biggest thing for me is that the combat is more methodical. I can load up Kadingr Sanctum and cruise through it without using much brain power and that's not really possible in Eternal.
The narrative being more grounded is another major plus to me. DooM is very much a "one man vs the world" type thing to me and Eternal basically turning you into a superhero kinda ruins that.

#classic-doom-maps-mods would probably be the ideal place to ask about Snapmap. I’ve messed around with it quite a bit and no, I don’t think there’s a simple way to get the AI to follow the player. You can make AI path points in the direction you want them to go, maybe box triggers to send them to certain spots when and where.

RPG is a bad weapon actually. I suggest avoid using it since it is very unreliable.
Spectre can be countered with Demon Tracker rune.

twitch Sooooo...... If the kernal 0 is the problem.... Turns out there is another that does it... If you have any game that runs easy anti cheat like Fortnite, PUBG, or Xenoverse 2 to name a few then well... Same deal. So... I guess hypocritical to slam denuvo on that front >_< Still the rest makes me unsure...

Chainsaw is basically a tool to use against a demon you don’t feel like fighting in this game.

I'm pretty disappointed though. Nearly two months after release they force a rootkit down our throat.
If they announced this before the release, many ppl (including me) would have cancelled their preorder.
Thus, I believe this is already planned. That makes me angry.

Also, in my opinion, that solution in the Doom reddit isn’t a very good one. You can’t play online at all unless you install it? Cheap.

Eternal is a good game. Too bad people continue to diss it with review bombing. It’s understandable but I think there’s a better way to go about it.

i think it's a good way to send a message to the devs bc the publishers/investors care only about ratings.
i hope id will learn something about this and do the right thing for the next dlc/game

I just install it and uninstall it whenever I launch and close the game
but to be fair, I only play the game like once a week just to complete the challenges for event xp, I was burnt out from the game after the first month

I've only beaten 2016 like four times and I don't feel like coming back to it again because
- I didn't like it as much as 3
- I might try to play it like I play Eternal

I had trouble with 3 cause it was slower than old school... then again I was more used to faster mods like trailblazer or combined arms.

Took me a while to finish 2016 because of wrist pains and portable switch being the only way I could play, but damn it's a good game.
