Just looking for help with a issue. I am in the middle of a ultra nightmare run and just beat destroyed argent facility. When I got back on today I practiced a bit in arcade for the next level but when I went to my campaign slot it got switched to nightmare mode any help?

there's a sort of reload mechanism in the doom 2016 weapons that is more apparent than with classic doom due to the weapon switching
each of the burst damage weapons has a cooldown, though i would say that the rocket and gauss have a pronounced cooldown

doesn't matter much about how well you know UAC, it's a 3 minute level. the RNG is what kills you
once RNG is slightly less of a factor (being the midpoint of the game), it's significantly easier.
and then once you have the BFG plus ammo boost mastered, it's extremely easy.

Oh god I remembered something. In the room to destroy the coolant cells, I remember going in bfg blazing and I shot it like 5 times in a row and killed everything really fast XD. Once the last fight happened before vega himself, is were I couldn't spam it, main reason I failed that last fight so much was because of pinkies. You have no clue how much I hate pinkies in 2016.

@ornate basin I'm pretty sure you can have a bot enable it if their is too much chat activity. Slow mode should make things easier to follow, not keep a single discord user from sending a message right after sending a previous message.

Just finished Titan's Realm, got all the runes and I've almost got all the mastery skills for the weapons, minus the scope for the Gauss Cannon, the remote detonation for the Rocket Launcher, the Charge Shot for the Combat Shotgun, and the pistol. Am I gonna be able to acquire all points even if I missed a secret area in a couple of levels and the Baron of Hell challenge in Titan's Realm? Or do I need to start all over again? Cause I wanna get dem trophies.
Mind you, I'm playing on Nightmare.

@cerulean stirrup you can revisit levels and get what you missed. You’ll have 11 weapon points left over if you get every single point available and spend them all, so there is leeway.

@cerulean stirrup you can revisit levels within the same campaign, you don't have to start a new one. Once you finish you can reload any level of your choosing within that same campaign for the exact purpose of grabbing what you missed.

I also did that. I legit replayed every single level, got every single UAC document, all Slayer Testaments, all Argent Spheres, all Token Praetor and all mastery for the weapons.
I defeated the Mastermind and the result was nothing. No "Overclocked" trophy, no "Mastery" trophy.

however, the combination of fan misconception due to older tech and mechanics, the mostly undeserving hate for 3, a bad movie, a terrible mod by a terrible person, and one super shitty comic led to what people think Doom is today: being the ultimate badass, with surviving being the bonus
and I think 2016 made the mistake of sticking to that misconception

the 'doomguy' isn't the only marine who is capable of these things. he's just the only one who survived the hellish onslaught. It's pretty telling when you read plutonia's prologue, that while most of the marines are probably as capable as him, none are as experienced or know of the hell that follows
meanwhile in doom 2016, there's too much hero worship. I like the ridiculous lore and whatnot, but I don't like how it's made to seem as if the doom slayer is literally unkillable because of some otherworldly gifts and not because of the experience he would have had fighting demons for ages

i accidentally figured out how to cheese the mastermind with the bfg.... was finishing my nightmare run, and if you shoot the bfg and open the weapon wheel, it never slows the damage from the laser the ball makes to the enemy. so one bfg shot can basically one hit KO it...... wish i didnt do this with my nightmare run.....

using the gauss for mobility is extremely fun! Also if you are going across a gap and you need just a little more distance, gauss straight down. It’ll help you hover, think Dusk’s crossbow
