Anyone else have an issue where during the ||Gladiator|| boss fight, every time you go in for a glory kill, it drops to 60 fps? It's pretty jarring to go from 120 to 60 in an instant.

@exotic leaf That is due to how the game works cutscenes. Gladiator glory kills are technically just cutscenes, and as such run at 60FPS. I don't know of any way to fix it

Anyone experiencing the same issue I'm having? On Mars Core, there's a bug with the Ion Catapult where the the cutscene doesn't play when I press on the button, leaving me stuck in that area. This is a serious ultra nightmare killer, so i just want to know if anyone has experienced these issues.

That's a really old format, weird. Ye you would need one for that, but current GPU software tools can take screenshots in regular JPGs, do you have a dedicated GPU or just integrated?
Well cause a few newer Ryzen iGPUs can use the Radeon Software for that but I assume you then use an Intel HD or something

Mouse becomes un-usable too until I Ctrl+Alt+Delete or something.

That’s not not issue at all, as you can see the game is burning my GPU at 100%, there is probably a resource leak. I always have maximum performance set in Windows. What happens in doom is that it runs at a normal frame rate for about 15 seconds and then it slowly starts to reduce my frame rate as utilization climbs to 100%, and once it gets there it’s basically locked.
I also don’t have performance issues elsewhere (30k firestrike score for graphics and passes the 3D mark stress test)

@inland blaze i had the same issue when i had a dual 2080ti system. what solved it for me was Toggling SLI on and off. unfortunately this isn't an option for you, first step is to run DDU to properly scrub out all your drivers and reinstall. Second, you'll defintley want make sure you don't have any backround apps that are hogging up resources with windows Task scheduling. Third you can try reseating your RAM, GPU, and making sure your BIOS is fully updated.

Anyone else had their level and settings reset? I bumped an old thread in the steam forum that had the same problem, but I'm wondering if anything new is known about this glitch, mainly how to prevent it from happening again (or better yet, getting my level back)?

I’ve been having an issue. In Battlemode, on PS4, I have a custom layout for my controller. The game is not registering the custom layout despite me having set it to that, and is instead just using the default layout.

This update did some bad shit to the game on PS4. Aside the laggy menus & FPS drops being more apparent, I cant even progress past the revenant on Arc complex in the stairs leading to the first secret encounter with the pain elemental/etc. Its a consistent crash & upon rebooting the game, the save file doesn't save my progress & instead takes me back to the beginning of the level erasing all my progress I had on the level. The game has crash protection & would usually put you back close to where you were. I went 10/10 on this crash.

Does anyone know if doing a completely clean reinstall of Doom Eternal on PC removes your saves? Getting massive drops in frames ever since the patch and the only thing that brings it back is alt-tabbing. Nvidia drivers are up to date and Doom is set to highest priority.

All Slayer gates have a random chance of crashing in the new update when picking up the key. There's a consistent Arc Complex crash with the revenant on the stairs leading to the 1st secret encounter. There's a random crash on Nabad leading to the 1st combat arena with the Archie. BFG crashes are still apparent.
Also the new update exclusive crashes always take you back to the beginning of levels instead of crash protection working & putting you back close to where you crashed instead.
.... also cant take out weak points with the stick bomb on frozen enemies in the new update.

I was gonna say the hit registrations are a huge issue for console players. Since SOME pc players just tell console players to "Just adapt bro" which I find funny af, but imagine this update giving nothing but more ammunition to silence the problem. Hell if anything the hit registrations aren't even in the "Known issues." Anywho going into the spicy demons discord, come to find out everyone is complaining on there about this. Now is this gonna get fix when? August probably, is the slayer gonna have a fair fighting chance since console slayer's dps got nerf due to quick swap being slow. Yeah man 100% this update/new series just helps demons and makes it to where slayer takes skill while demons don't take any. Literally if you communicate with your teammate and know how to play as the demon you're playing as. You're basically wining every single game

The way I did it was I redistributed the globalwarehouseitem declaration files to move the cosmetics into my unlocked customizations.
No cheat engine. Cheat engine doesn't do that.
I manually edited the decl files. The only cheat engine tables around for doom eternal are a silly one zanzer made for singleplayer cheats, and sunbeams console unlocker.
I don't use either, though I have used sunbeams in the past for other things, like unlocking the pistol or going OOB.
I doubt you even know what cheat engine is or does. It doesn't just magically cheat for you.
Its a memory editor. If you know the addresses or can find them, you can in some cases change them. The issue with that is that the addresses are random strings of numbers and letters with all likelihood.

Most things that you change won't save to your files in any way, so even if I could somehow find the address for the equipped title and icon, I'd have to somehow find the address for a title and icon that I don't have equipped and therefore don't know the addresses of, and then swap them.

Cheat Engine has a full debugger and dis/assembler, it’s not just a memory editor. Not as powerful as IDA/Ghidra but it’s ok for skids

Hey I'm having a very weird specific issue. I got DOOM 2016 last week and at some point the game started running very poorly with texture pop-in. I tried changing anti-virus programs and reinstalling the game 4 times with no luck. The other day I noticed in the console the game is having errors involving loading/reading resources and I assume the lag spikes and performance are due to the game taking multiple tries to load things. Has anyone had a similar issue?

On my main save slot, 4 weapon mod milestones are incomplete, dont have the skins, but all mods are complete, I activated the cheat code at some point and now it won't reverse so i can't actually unlock them. I'm not unlocking everything again on my other save slot so is there a fix? Or do i just need to report this as a bug? I can't progress through the milestones to get the sentinel podium because the 4 are stuck

i'm on nekravol part 2 at the final bit, I managed to get the Doom Hunter into a glory kill state but half way through its animation, it stopped glowing and the prompt disabled, but it was still in its glory kill state. It eventually started attacking again, but I've now found that it's a very angry, very invincible Doom Hunter. Anybody else had the same issues?

Hi there, I have a bug to report, I've achieved weapon mastery normally trough playing for some of the guns, the Heavy Cannon, the Combat Shotgun and Plasma Rifle, but the achievements wont trigger and I'm unable to unlock the skins, for the other guns, Chaingun and rocket launcher, I've used the coin, and got the achieves. Any help on That ? running steam version. Thx.

I like the music in DOOM Eternal, but since update 2 whenever I go to the map view during one of the levels and return to the game, the music from the map view keeps going on forever, even when going back to the main menu.
I do not know if this a bug, but It's very annoying to hear both ambient music from a in-level menu and the much faster paced and/or more different kind of music from the level at the same time. Every time I notice it during gameplay it severly puts me out of the flow of combat because it makes the musisc feel out of place.
Did someone else come across this same type of issue during gameplay?

When I fire the unmaykr into the sky with the infinite ammo cheat on: the game slowly drains fps from over 140 to about 25 and ultimately crashes.
(takes about 20 to 40 seconds)
I tried the same with every other gun that had a projectile of sorts and it doesn't happen.
Seems to only be the unmaykr.
If I look away from where I fired the fps bumps back to normal.

@uneven nimbus i guess dont do it? Makes sense withing the game logic. An enormous of projectile entities get to exist and move, normslly they would hit something but with sky there isnt a wall to be hit. When you look away they dont have to be loaded and despawn. This isnt a bug.

Odd, sounds like for some reason the sky doesn’t have a deadzone specifically for the unmakyr. So it’s just infinite unmakyr shots in the sky

Maybe the deadzone is far away, so with single projectile shooting guns this isnt that much of a problem. But Unmaykr shoots fove at once, not to mention the light effect tied to the projectiles

this one doesnt has something to do with cheats, if you got a gun, either with infinite ammo or not, you will eventually shot to the void instead of an enemy, its probably just cuz the shot doesnt dissapears and (maybe) the game has to render the area in between slayer and the shot

Unmaykr shoots five shots at once, in a very quick session. These projectiles do light effects - each separately and are travelling at a fast speed. The five shot aspect alone makes ot five times as demanding as a rifle would.

As for why doesnt chaingun do this. Game maybe has a different distance for small, big and very obvious projectiles (like Bfg or Unmaykr). This distance would be different because there is no point of having it loaded if you cant see it

I'm bringing up the issue because if you fire the unmaykr it seems the projectiles don't despawn.
therefore I wonder if the projectiles not despawning at all cause issues when you fire just a few rounds off and they don't collide with an object. As they seem to do.

Cultis bse ML have on;y 1 bug . Infinite arena - have 2 demons that infinitely spawns and you can't skip it , cause of walls .

Hey guys, I was messing around with the console so I can get some more performance. I got around this command called "g_enableGore." I set it up to 2, and it made the dismemberments weird. I set it back up to 1 which is considered default. But it's still doing a weird stretch whenever I do a chainsaw kill, can someone help me out with this??

Issue is as reported by modding community:
Game now has a static memory allocation function where it uses a page file. before it was dynamically allocated. It basis it on a predetermined size of decls etc in resources.
The crashing is becaues its overflowing the memory buffer.
It needs to be returned to dynamic allocation.
It was probably for performance reasons this was done. Only issue with that is performance was good and the game was stable. Now it's not.
Btw, Second part of final sin crashes as well.

Believe me if we could we would. It's really messed up modding for us.
But it's like this on all platforms which is why all platforms are experiencing crashes.
It will appear random for most but the audio logs and slayer gates etc are obviously main points that are repeatable that have been reported.
The random crashes are harder to reproduce as you dont know exactly when the memory buffer will overflow and crash the game.
Return the game to dynamically allocate the buffer it needs !!!!

Nicer loot drop fx
Most Item etc pickups arent bright glowy objects anymore
Enemies are not lit by artificial lighting
Melee non blood punch hits actually do damage
Low health no longer fills your screen with red!
Point is all that is happening and the game is stable. It doesnt crash on final sin or slayer gates! Update #2 without any of this, it crashes.
