I make it to the secret, but all i do is noclip through it. Is there a way to fix this? I'm playing on PC, by the way

I encountered a bug in Hell on Earth. During the building fight near the end of the level, i was positioned right against the exit of the area, when the fight ended and the cutscene played, the enemies in the next area failed to load, and i could not kill them and activate the portal. I reloaded a checkpoint and strangely the intro cutscene played, and when it was over, i was placed back at the end of the building fight, and the area was completely unloaded. It loaded after i backtracked a little bit.

I'm entirely flummoxed. On launch day I put in 6 hours perfectly fine, no performance issues or crashing to desktop, nothing. It was great. Since then I haven't been able to play. I've followed the instructions on Bethesda's site for potential fixes for crash to desktop but nothing there worked for me.... I was hoping maybe some more time would pass and another Nivida driver would come out (which it did) and that would fix my issue or a game patch (which it did) and THAT would fix my issue, but nothing. Any pointers...? I don't get any error messages, debug files, logs, nothing. I can't find any indication why I crash to desktop on launch when on launch day I had no issues playing...

Check In-Game Audio Levels
Confirm that the sound levels are set to an audible level:

From the game's menu, Select Settings, then Audio.
Ensure the bars are set to 100%.
In addition, if you are using headphones, you may wish to try using speakers to see if any sound plays.

Check Your Speaker Default Settings
You should ensure that your speakers are correctly configured:

Right-click the speaker icon on your Windows desktop and select Playback devices.
Select the speakers or headphones that you use and right-click each one of the devices and select Disable.
Right-click the one you wish to use and select Enable.
Select the device you wish to use and click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab and change the Default format to 16bit 48000 Hz (DVD Quality).
Click on the green triangle Test button to verify the sound is working.
Click Apply and then OK.

Hello. I was playing battlemode today and I had a similar situation to the message I quoted so I would like to describe 2 battlemode matches quickly.
So it looked like the first round of the first match went normally but in the second and third I fell under the map (I played archvile as in the movie in the message I quoted) but I waited two rounds to start the new archvile match but at the beginning of the second match I fell again under the map on one round and the next two went normally (at the end I would add that under the map I was not surrounded by black as in the film but above me was a kind of white fog and the bottom of the circle with a rainbow colors (I know it sounds like I smoke weed ) unfortunately I couldn't take pictures of the situation

If anybody has trouble with weapon mods, go to the MAIN MENU level select with just the IDKFA cheat. Load up a map, QUICKLY open up the mod menu and go to the gun you have problems with. There you switch your weapon mod. Exit out of mod menu then again quickly exit the level to main menu.

you can remove the device drivers with DDU, or you can do it manually which ever you prefer. then go to https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/159424 and download the full install of the current driver. when you install that driver, make sure you tick the checkbox labelled "Clean Install"

I am having issues with Doom Eternal Crashing on PS4. A lot. Its making it almost impossible to finish the mission I'm on. Raised a support ticket with Bethesda and their response is basically "Contact Sony"...

Any idea if there are any PS4 patches coming soon?

Contacting Sony is pointless, all they are going to tell you to do is power cycle your ps4 or go into safe mode and rebuild your database, I have doom eternal on ps4 and tried both of those options and the game still crashed on me, hopfully bethesda and id are working on a patch to fix this.

I have doom eternal for xbox one and have had no issues unlike my ps4 run of the game, unfortunately that means that the ps4 version is a really bad port of the game, that's a real shame considering the ps4 version sold more copies than xbox.

I don't know where to put it but came across a weird bug today. I was playing on UN, after finishing the first slayer's gate as I was getting teleported back I think I pressed my dash button. The white teleportation screen went away for a second showing me the map, but came back immediately after leaving me with the HUD and a white screen. I pressed ESC and then Resume and after that I was stuck in place. Couldn't move the camera, couldn't jump and couldn't strafe. I was able to do pretty much everything else, from switching weapons, mods and use the equipement. I tried with a Xone controller but nothing changed. Luckily after alt+f4 everything went back to normal. Is this a known issue? What could have triggered that?

Hey, I've been having some graphical issues with my xfx rx 580 with the latest drivers, when running Doom Eternal. The game will start flickering and black screen, and sometimes blue screen my computer. Any ideas on how to help, guys?

I can give any information you need to help solve this problem.

If it helps, the blue screen gives a Thread Stuck in Device Driver error.

Right... You have an apu not a gpu. Sorry, just realizing this. So you don't have the video memory necessary to run the game. Hence the error message.

Since you only have 8 gigs of ram and that's the minimum amount of ram to run the game, you don't have enough memory to run the game. In short, your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements. Sorry bud.

Because an apu is essentially a cpu and gpu in one. You don't have a physical gpu though, so you don't have dedicated vram, so your computer is looking to your systems memory (ram) and you don't have enough resources to run the game with only 8 gigs of total memory.

I can also see from that image that you're using 50 percent of your ram at idle. So your system and programs running in the background alone are using 4 gigs. You essentially are trying to run the game with 4 gigs to share between ram and vram

so you could try changing it to something lower/higher to see if it works

Hey 'yall, since I installed Doom Eternal my compooter has been doing something strange.
In-game, my game will randomly "pause", and my computer seems to... click out of doom? Even though it's full screen, meaning that My desktop's mouse cursor will show up over the UI, with the Doom Eternal cursor wherever it was set to before the game "deselected" the Doom Eternal Application, so I have to click in order to gain control of the doom eternal cursor.

This has extended outside of the game, too. Sometimes when I'm typing, my computer will "click" out of the text box, resulting in me typing outside of the box, meaning no text.

Not sure what's going on here, i can't find anything on google.

So i've been running into this one problem lately(PC, Steam): after i launch doom eternal and play a couple of battlemode matches my game just turns into a blackscreen(music will keep playing), (sometimes this happens when i am in a lobby with random players whilst the match is starting).

I honestly don't know what could be causing this issue seeing as i have validated the files on steam and my graphics card is up to date.

So if anybody else has this problem (and possibly knows how to fix it). I'd love to hear it.

It isn't a gamebreaking glitch, but it's certainly really annoying to have to re-launch the game every other match.

I have a problem and need help. About 4 days ago i wanted to take a few screenshots on steam for doom eternal and it froze my game and went blackscreen and the only way to play it again was to restart my pc but it was still happening and still is to this day. ik you have probably heard this a million times @rare prawn but make sure to update your graphics drivers to the most recent version. have heard this problem happen with multiple people and different applications as well. at the moment there does not seem to be an immediate fix other than making sure your graphics drivers are on the latest version and to hope for the best

I was playing on my first save file, and i was going through hell on earth to get the bat out of hell milestone. I used cheat codes to make it easier and quicker.
When i got back to the main menu not only did i get the rewards for the bat out of hell milestone, but for some reason i had completed argentas paladi, even though i have only completed 70/81 milestones

I've been reading up on this bug; apparently it's happened to a lot of people (I've actually seen several stuck on 63). Only one person managed to fix it by redoing some of the milestones and hoping it unlocked.

I've been having this problem for a while now, but doom eternal doesn't seem to be loading my save files even though the folders are still there in the userdata folder of my steam files

The thing is, when I start a new save file on ultra violence for example, and then reach a checkpoint then exit & restart the game, the save file does not show up in the game

Well it says I have 63/80 done but I literally only have 4 milestones left to do on battle mode.

Hey guys, today I tried playing Doom Eternal. But I saw some people with the same graphics card I use had high frames, I tried playing. And I have 8+ frames, can anyone help me with this problem?

I tried overclocking my GPU, lowering every setting in the game, lowering resolution, using console commands to further lower quality.

But nothing is changing, it's still 8 frames.

GTX 750 ti 2gb (Asus)

It just baffles me how that youtuber managed to hit higher frames than me, when we have the same Graphics card.

So I have been playing DOOM: Eternal on xbox one, I am Doom Level 90, and have a shit ton of cosmetics unlocked. I recently just bought a gaming PC and DOOM: Eternal with it. I logged into my bethesda account and nothing is there. I got my Twitch Prime loot, but that's it. I don't have anything unlocked other than that. I am back to Doom Level 1, and it seems I have to start over. Does anyone know if there is a bug there, or do cosmetics, doom levels, and Series 1 & 2 progress just not transfer over?

Hey so on PS4 I'm having major problems with a bug. The last 4 Battlemode matches I've been completely unable to use my equipment. When I click my flame belch or grenades, it makes a tick sound as if I used them, but nothing happens and the cooldown starts. I'm not mistaken, it's not lag where the equipment still works but it's invisible and the grenade still comes out or the demons still burn, abolutely nothing happens at all and I use cooldowns that I quite needed. I played against different player demons on different maps, so it wasn't just one unique interaction. I'm not sure what's causing it either, my connection is completely stable and I've never had this kind of issue before

I'm not sure what can be done about it, and so far I haven't lost because of it, but it has made some situations exceptionally harder than necessary. Against really good demons, I'd be at a complete disadvantage without 2 of my most frequent tools

hello i'm having some major issues with the game , well sometimes when i play my framerate is sometimes bellow 50 , but if i change it to windowed then change it back (it changes the resolution) changing the resolution back to normal, then closing the game then open it again, the framerate is above 60, but sometimes this wont be fixed, why is this happening ? how can i fix it?

So i was replaying taras nabad and on the marauder fight at the start of the level the game crashed and when i opened the game up again my save file had been reset back to the moment where you get the campaign completed message in the fortress of doom. I also lost all the weapon/suit upgrades and collectables i got after beating the campaing. The milestones i had about the upgrades and collectables are also gone but i still have the rewards tho (for example the lore master title and weapon master skins) I’m playing on ps4

@quiet oyster that sounds like a problem with your computer. It could be that some of your parts are getting really hot and then are runnind under capacity.

Try opening and cleaning up your computer, and replace thermal paste, if that's what you use.

If that doesn't help, then I don't know what to tell you, except that it really doesn't sound like a problem of the game.

hey, I don't realy know where to post that but I try here. my problem come of the fact my pc is not stong enought for turn doom eternal at a normal rate (60fps is way enought for me), before the update who bring the serie 2 evrything was fine, exept some minor lag sometime, but after that lag begin to be even worse, my rate is now at 40fps, with many crash at 10 or even 5. The problem come of my graphic card only 2200 Mb of vram, I need 500 Mb for get to the minimal requirement. so if someone is good in IT, and help me for at least reduce this lag that would be realy welcome. thanks.

Hey guys, figured I'd toss this out and see if someone can help. Played Eternal off the Beth launcher totally fine until yesterday. Now getting "Sorry something went wrong." 8850000D error now.

Uninstalled the launcher and Eternal twice, to no avail.

I'm loving the game so much and would love to continue, but this is beyond unacceptable and generally i expect included malware to be discussed before I purchase the game, rather than months after launch.

this is in every war unacceptable. even if it wasn't malware- it tanks framerates, AI is bugged, people are crashing and blue screening constantly. this update is quite frankly unacceptable, and probably illegal. this level of invasive software was not disclosed ahead of time.

@silk mauve Your first statement is provably false. My monster of a rig dropped a flat 10 frames across the board (tested with/without Denuvo) and DE has been prone to crashes/corrupted UN saves.

I can only imagine what it’s done to weaker PC’s.

From what I’ve seen, the perf drop is around ~30%, and framerate very irregular.

Testing it right now, but from what I understand this is from high ram usage, and the computer I’m using might not be bottlenecked by this

After a recent patch, I can’t enter the game due to an error in the DENUVO anti-cheat. He asks me to open port 30604, but all ports are open for him. I tried to turn off the firewall, but it also did not help. Prior to this update, which weighed almost 3GB, everything was perfect.
