Is the console patch exclusively for Battlemode or have they said a word about the game crashing on Xbox? I can't finish the campaign because of the crashing, haven't played in two weeks

doom seems to be running off of my cpu? i get 5-10% utilization on my gpu in game and 80-100% utilization on my cpu while in game - this doesn't happen for any other games

the game needs those to get the time to load the backgrounds
otherwise they won't appear. Also, if you for example do skip the videos, but wait for a while on the bethesda sign in screen, the game may be able to load the backgrounds

Dont click reload checkpoint while inside the doom fortress if you already beat the game and then went back to 100% the game. It takes you all the way back from just moments after defeating the icon of sin and you loose all your progression items

Weird bug, where combat shotgun isn't shooting sticky bombs (with the correct mod selected). It's just shooting a single shell.

@tawny crane if you have 2 save slots try switching between them a couple of times. Maybe it's showing the milestone count of the other slot (i know that the menu still says 80)

@tawny crane I was with a teammate, went 5 rounds no chainsaw and 2 of them with no demon deaths. He was spamming lock on rockets and ballista. Rounds went on for about 3 minutes each.
I counted 6 rocket bursts in one round which is double the ammo capacity in battlemode

It has been nearly a week since I was last able to play campaign, and I have gained no support for it. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated!
I get into Taras Nabad at the checkpoint where they introduce Archvile, I'm able to play for a minute or so, and then im immediately kicked from the game entirely, right back to the steam menu
Battlemode works fine, and starting a new campaign works fine as well

@glad cedar " I'm trying to do some low specs gaming" - vulkan doesn't run at all on many much older cards, I don't know the cut off point for AMD cards but for Nvidia it was around 2008-10 models including the old nvidia 420M laptop I had.
You need a card that fully supports Vulkan to run DOOM Eternal (and the Machine Games Wolfenstein games). DOOM 2016 has an older OpenGL renderer still though which is the default in that.

guys i have a huge problem, when i first bought the game it was telling me there was no space any more but i keept playng until the point i had to do some space on the disc (C) now after i have completed the campaign reinstalled the game in another disc it keeps telling me that i need more space but i have 81 GB and also recently it cancelled all my levels i'm back to 1 and every time i run the game it's like the first time i have to set the luminosity and also the keybindings are the default one, but i still have all my skins, i don't know what to do i've also tryed to use the bethesda launcher to search and fix for errors but it didn't work, the message for the full space also is keep telling me that i need to free 0 kb that's just absurde.

I really have a feeling that it's something with your game config. Try clearing it and run the game again, it's in Saved Games\id Software\DoomEternal

I had already gotten certain milestones and completed all levels 100% and fully mastered my arsenal yet the game reset my microwave beam and my remote detonate as well as saying that I have not completed one of the Slayer Gates, despite already having the unmaykr. I think it’s because I hit restart mission while in the Fortress but like what the hell

Can't access Photo Mode on PC. I enabled it on the Settings but when I press RALT to activate it, it doesn't appear. It just makes the menu sound and the screen flickers with the Photo Mode menu for a nanosecond. Any ideas how to fix this?

Since I got a 60Hz monitor I always cap my games to 60FPS with Vsync to avoid screen tearing. Basically in eternal I did that too but my game runs from 80-100fps all the time and it fluctuates alot, making the experience super choppy and not very enjoyable despite my specs being clearly able to run the game well at high settings

I am experiencing a bug in Doom Eternal where I am not able to reuse the Ripatorium. I used it once for the story and once again afterward on my own time, but now the button prompt to activate it is gone and no matter what I do (restart game, etc.) I cannot access it again on that save slot. I've been having issues with the steam version of doom eternal and wanted to know if these problems could be fixed or I have to wait for a patch.
My game ran fine when I got it but after updating my nvidia drivers the game constantly crashed and I had to move back to the older driver version (442.74) and that seemly fixed most of my issues. I've been still crashing back to desktop at Doom Hunter base, Arc Complex and Mars core which usually crashes on start up or when you are on the elevator. The game crashed mostly near the end of Arc complex on the bridge and when you encounter the Doom Hunter for the first time at Doom Hunter base.

I had picked up Doom Eternal back on launch and as of last week I had got the two "classic armor" skins via Utimate DooM and DooM II, I've been rocking the grey skin but there is a clear issue with the skin in first person with the Classic weapon pose it is set to the default praetor skin. this also happens with the DooM II brown skin. the skins work fine in cut scenes but it magicly reverts back to the standard praetor. any help, info or a possiable quick patch would be nice. C;

but if you don't have time for that, basically it's mainly about optimization problems
by that i don't mean graphics, but stuff like adjusting control bindings for example
other than that, i can't change the speed pace of the menu screen fading
so far in, EX seems to have better choices on that side
if none of these stuff are fixable (at least currently), is there a possible way that i could use EX with the WAD that i currently have from steam?

here's what I did:
he only thing left is to run level select from main menu with all cheats. Select broken weapon. Leave, turn off all cheats. Roll another level select. See if it's fixed and remains fixed. If not, repeat the process but this time with the alternate mod.(so if Grenade mod on shotgun doesnt work, put on the automatic mod then leave the game)
in proper English, first, load a mission with all cheats enabled (or at least the Mastery one)
then exit back to the main menu, and disable the cheats
and make sure you have a different mod equipped from the bugged mod
so load the mission with the grenade launcher equipped
and after you've disabled the cheats, load a mission again, with the grenade launcher still equipped

Alright then, I just find it so confusing cause when I first got doom 2016 there was no problem with it. I was able to complete the game many times over, I got progress on multiplayer but the moment I reinstalled windows I downloaded doom 2016 then for some reason all files currupted, my multiplayer file was reset and I couldn't even get past the first 3 levels since when I quit the game it would just currupt it self. I don't know if its cause I got rid of a important file. Even the doom eternal

I’m just going to ask this again. Has anyone else been having issues with doom eternal crashing back to desktop at Mars Core instantly after loading into the level or during the elevator after you take the plasma gun away from that guy? Also been crashing at Doom Hunter Base and Arc Complex usually near the end of those levels.
Nvidia was causing issues before but after rolling back to an older driver the game had significantly less issues on most levels but these ones and I think the issue isn’t connected with these ones. Battlemode also plays completely fine despite lagging but that seems to be on Bethesda’s side of things.

hi everyone. is there a way to get the XP from the weekly challenges when the game crashed? I started a lvl and solved 5 weekly challenges and the lvl itself, but the game crashed in that lvl and i only got 4000 XP, the other 60.000 XP are gone....

There's a glitch keeping me from getting the Treasure Hunter Milestone on one of my saves. It says I haven't done the two secret encounters in the mission select, but once I go into the mission, is says I have them completed and the Gore nests don't spawn.

@severe kettle I have the same issue with mine. Can't play nekroval part 2 anymore, I've beat the game but when going through again to redo the missions/items etc it crashes after 100% loading. Same with master levels now. I've tried reinstalling and everything. Playstation told me it was my ps4, but I doubt it when it's just that game and other levels work

@next lantern only way to fix screen tearing is with vsync, it stands for vertical synchronization which makes sense when you think about what screen tearing looks like
It’s mostly to just make everything look better though so probably don’t prioritize having that
And then it also does cause input lag which you definitely don’t want in any game of this caliber

I have this problem with my doom trophies... I finished the campaign and finished all the slayer gates. I didnt know about the weapon you can get with the keys so when i discovered it i unlocked it and got the trophy. Then i realised no campaign trophy/slayer gat trophy has unlocked only the 'meet your Unmaykr' one. How do i fix this? Did anyone encounter this?

Milestone bugs are numerous and many think it has something to do with whether you've ever replayed a mission with cheats on and acquired said milestones. A couple of my weapon mastery milestones haven't unlocked for that reason. Annoying and been there since launch. No fix yet.
Of course, you can't acquire empyrean keys with cheats but perhaps if you have played with cheats anyway it has something to do with it .
Even if it seems unrelated. I think using cheats bugs things out in general

I found the fix to my game not launching that's plagued me for so long
If you right click and go to the application's Properties and go to the Compatibility tab, there a checkbox called "Disable fullscreen optimizations." Checking this box, among a few of the other things I must've done, seems to have done the trick.

Also, i cleared the purple sludge area, and the big door just opened right away, without having to shoot the 2 tentacles. It just opened and i could just go through the area with the quad damage power up and two tyrant, so weird.

Question for any techies out there:
I have an RX580 (8GB) and I just got an Acer CB272 monitor. However, trying to play Doom Eternal on it causes the game to only render a single frame. Alt-tabbing back out and back in to the game causes this rendered frame to update. The game is "functional" outside of this freezing (i.e. menus are navigable based on sound feedback). Interestingly, streaming via Discord does not replicate this issue to viewers of the stream. If anyone has a solution to this weird freezing bug, please tell me (and yes, all my drivers are updated, including the monitor and AMD's Adrenalin software).

I read on some forums that unequipping weapon skins should solve the problem, but what about demon skins ? they don't have weapon skins. know any fixes ?

Launching the game on Steam just leads to a black screen and then the process just ends. Tried updating Nvidia drivers, verifying integrity, nothing works. I just can't get the game to launch anymore. It was fine a week ago. Didn't install any new software, hardware or games so I can't figure out why the game won't launch anymore.

Yup, just got done uninstalling then reinstalling the whole game, same thing. I hit play on Steam, the screen goes black like it usually does before it loads the intro credits then just closes on its own. No error messages or anything.

I played doom eternal on ps4 first and had what your talking about with the crashing, but I'm playing on xbox one and no issues so far, try hard reboot of your xbox and see if that helps.
