Anyone who knows how can I contact bethesda support asap? I have a technical issue with eternal, sent them a ticket yesterday, a facebook message on doom official page, no answer yet 😦

i've tried everything they recommend. turned off steam overlay, freshly reinstalled drivers, windows up to date, the game is an exception in my firewall, tried lower settings. the problem is still there and it bugs me out

my fps cuts in half i alt tab out of the game and go back in

i usually have 80-120 fps depending on zones and how big the fights are. then i barely get 50-60 in the same are. this problem appears even when i take a break from the game, and play it again later

the only way problem is gone is by restarting the pc. i have ryzen 3 2200g, 8gb ram, rx 580 4gb. my settings are textures medium, shadows high, the rest on nightmare. chaning the settings doesn't help, my temps are normal

i verified the integrity of the game, same issue. tried reinstalling, still the same. i have the 20.3.1 driver, recommended for doom eternal. the problem is still there on older drivers

I think my fps problem is solved. I alt tabbed out of the game multiple times and the framerate is as it should. I will check what windows service is causing me problems. Thank you so much guys!

my first suggestion would be running absolutely anything other than Endless.

If you need any help, you can also ask the folks on the zdoom discord and/or their forums, most of them have lots of technical knowledge so they should be able to help you

I started playing Doom Eternal and I realised my skins on my Beth net account are not on my game. I check my account in game and it says my username is some random jumbles of letters and numbers. My email is correct. On top of that, my username that works on Beth net is not random letters and numbers, but has also the correct email. I try sending a password recovery but I never receive my email, but it recovers the one without the random letters and numbers. So I change my email on that account and try again, but now I receive no email. Can someone help me link my rewards from my actual Beth net account?

Just wanted to say to anyone having flickering problem,THIS IS THE REASON: the NVidia Geforce Game ready drivers (the latest one associated with Half Life: Alyx) cause the screen to flicker, just has some conflicting info. THIS IS HOW TO FIX. Go online and find the previous game drivers that came out for Doom Eternal (Version: 442.74) and download the installer and run it. Install the drivers, and when it finishes, keep BOTH boxes checked (otherwise it will get rid of your Geforce desktop shortcut). When completed, you are successfully running the previous game drivers and there will be NO flickering!

Side note: Doom Eternal is not supported by Nvidia Geforce Experience game optimization. I am not sure if or when it will be, but you will need to just mess around in graphics settings to optimize.

So I have a weird problem.
I assigned my SSG to Q to quickswap between SSG and Ballista for battlemode, since after equipping SSG you can mouse wheel up and get to ballista. But for some reason, only in battlemode, after I equip SSG and scroll up, the heavy cannon gets equipped. It's messing my ssg-ballista combo up. But it works fine in campaign.

I've found something really interesting. When you use the crucible with the infinite ammo cheat you will be able to swing it all you want, as expected. However, when you kill an enemy with it without doing the glory kill animation it will still consume a charge. When you run out of charges doing this you will still be able to use the crucible but without doing any glory kill animations

Hey so I had every cheat except quakecon mode (until like 3 minutes ago) and all the rest of my mods are gone. Prior to this happening I activated cheats, played super gore nest to get the last modbot, i finished the mission and i go to mission select again to disable the weapon mastery cheat and go get it again. But I went to go it, my cheats were gone.

I got this from the Bethesda website, try these

RESTART THE GAME

Press the [PS] button on your controller to go to the Dashboard.
Highlight DOOM Eternal and press [Options].
Select Close Application and press [X].
Highlight Yes and press [X].
To restart, highlight DOOM and press [X].

POWER CYCLE THE CONSOLE
To power cycle your PlayStation 4:

Press and hold the [PS] button on your controller.
Turn off the PS4 with Turn Off PS4 and not "Enter Rest Mode."
Make sure the light goes out on the console and then unplug its power cable and wait for 10 seconds.
Plug the power cable back in and turn the console back on by pressing the [PS] button on your controller.

UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL THE GAME
To uninstall DOOM Eternal from your PS4, follow the steps below:

From the PlayStation 4 menu, navigate to Library.
Locate and highlight DOOM Eternal.
Press the [Options] button on your controller.
Select Delete and confirm.
Note that this process will not delete your game save files, but only the game itself. If desired, game save files can be backed up and saved online by navigating to Settings, then Application Saved Data.

Once complete, you can reinstall the game from your library or the game disc.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but it seems like monster skins are broken on the Xbox version.

With the Doot, Ghost and Inferno Lord skins, I can equip them just fine, and they show up on the menu models perfectly.

But, in lobbies or games, the skins don't show up at all.

Interestingly, the Inferno Lord Marauder still has the flaming axe and little fireball on his forehead.

Yes it doesn't have crossplay but he's asking if he can play with Steam people. That's not crossplay. I used the wrong wording. One on Bethesda store can play with a friend on Steam, they just have to come across them in matchmaking first then add them to Favorites.

Hello, long story short my old steam account is linked to my Bethesda account. I've submitted a support ticket to unlink the accounts and then I will relink the Bethesda account to my current steam account which is the one I purchased Doom Eternal on.

Bethesda says all content will be lost and cannot be transferred from accounts. Here's my issue, I haven't redeemed any content (Deluxe, pre order, slayers club) on this old steam account. Do I just have to wait and find out to see if the content will be there when I relink accounts? If it's not there who do I speak to to get this fixed?

Anyone having an issue where the game puts your controller in default config even though it says it’s a different one (I use strafe and custom), AND it won’t let me change it in the game. It changes in the menu, but it doesn’t actually change while playing.

I’ve restarted multiple times and tried to change it to a different config than default and it just won’t take it

Yeah, just expect a bit of troubleshooting right out of "the box". It took me a bit of hassle. there's still a few minor bugs but other than that, the game works just fine and it's completely playable. In retrospect Ive noticed that my cpu is pretty high, usually around 50-70 percent I think, whenever I run Eternal, and my GPU load is usually in the single digits

Well ever since the launch i've been using intel SDE emulator to run doom, and well, the experience is not very pleasurable. I've been wondering (in a programmer standpoint) why they used those instructions on this game while stuff like RE3 Remake can run just fine in a Phenom X6 1055t (which lacks SSE 4.1 and 4.2). And probably could run this game just fine too.

btw @pure obsidian if you run the game at low resolution it'll offload most resources to the processor instead of the gpu making gpu usage low and processor usage low

i'd guess its a botttleneck but you can try creating a custom resolution in your video card control panel (you dont need to enable and using it) and using that custom resolution in game

OCing my CPU did make it somewhat better, but Im prolly gonna still see if the next patch makes optimization better; if not Ill prolly look into a new cpu
