to turn off the steam overlay you go to the top left of steam, click the steam button and go into settings

then under In-Game click the checkbox that says enable the steam overlay while in game

My MG and SG seem to be busted in my campaign, full auto mod will crash on firing and the light indicators for micro missiles show up on the side of the MG and I can’t zoom in

Seems the guns are stuck on these mods, wondering if anyone has got a fix besides toggling cheat codes, which seems to break them for the other mods

Beth gave me a cookie cutter level zero copy paste ticket response so I thought I’d ask here before I just restart my run and hope it was just a rare save corruption

To my knowledge cheats are bugged, any cheat enabled will disable slayer keys on campaign for whatever reason, and the weapon cheat can break campaign weapons

Issue = can't switch weapons, see weapon, and there's no interact prompt.

Repeat it by = switching weapon as you pick up the flame belch. This will skip the cutscene where you pick it up but everything will be glitched.

On PC/bethesda launcher, anyone have the same problem where on random levels, it'll kick you from the whole game when it is on the loading screen and only loads to 92%? it's happened on all three save files. Also, when I launch the game again, I can't load into those save games anymore, but i'm still able to play battlemode just fine.

The reason is the driver. 442.75 causes this. If you have this version, Roll back to 442.74 and wait for a proper release!

No error messages to show. Once I launch, everything works fine and as intended- game goes through intro screens with a slight hitch at the ID logo, but otherwise works fine. "Loading" pops up in lower left, main theme starts, then the cursor and main menu load and immediately lock up. Task manager does not show any kind of "not responding" or suspended. Clicking and pressing keys do nothing. If I alt-tab I come back to a still frozen black screen with menu music still going uninterrupted. Can't close the game without ctrl+alt+delete and using task manager to kill. Solutions I have tried: Updating windows, drivers, and game, verifying cache, rolling back drivers and updating them again, closing down all applications other than DE, clean boot state, and repairing windows using sfc /scannow cmd. Game stops responding right as the 3d model of doomslayer is supposed to be seen, I just get a black screen. Any possible fixes/workarounds/solutions help. Using steam version of game. Specs:

gigabyte AB350-gaming 3

16gb ddr4 ram

radeon 5700xt

ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.2GHz

Windows 10 home 64bit

@neat citrus Hit Windows-Key+R on your desktop and paste in the following: "%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\id Software\DOOMEternal" and see if you can find a .local file. Deleting that file should reset your graphics settings.

whenever I try to use sentinel batteries in the room with the OG doomguy outfit, my game crashes like 50% of the time. other sentinel batteries seem fine, just the ones in the room with the 2 crystals, 2 mods, and 2 praetor tokens. It's really annoying

nobody seems too sure if you can crossplay between steam and the launcher, but the general idea is that it should be possible

and every time I start a level in DOOM the game freeze and crash ..even in the game main menu

If anything is overclocked, go back to regular clock speeds. if possible change RAM modules to check if they might be faulty .. other than that ... no clue, game runs absolutly stable here

Who do I talk to about my heavy cannon being broke on ps4? It will only fire micro missiles. Even on the scope mod, it shows the scope but instead of zooming in, the little yellow dots on the back of each missile show up while holding L2 and puff up as if the missiles are ready to fire. Yet this is with the scope mod on.

I’ve restarted the game, restarted the level, tried other levels, switched mods back and forth which it does, it just won’t use the scope.

I found a bug where I can use the destroyer blade mod on my ballista when I don’t have it unlocked

I used weapon mastery code in previous levels to get secrets and I used primarily the micro missiles for the challenge and to unlock the weapon mastery in my normal campaign. Now I can’t use anything but the missiles on the heavy cannon and the scope is glitched out with a partial micro missile animation. Luckily mine isn’t as necessary as yours. At least this seems to be an identifiable bug so they can fix it.

DON’T USE WEAPON MASTERY CODE ON PREV LEVELS FOR SECRETS ETC OR IT’LL BREAK YOUR CAMPAIGN!

I've found a solution to the battlemode matchmaking not working. Although its not a solution I like.

Apparently it just doesn't work on windows 8. Updating to windows 10 fixed the issue.

if you look in the files theres "party.dll and party7.dll" I suspect it uses these for matchmaking. Picks party for win10, party7 for win7 and just doesn't for win8

To everyone with the error that the game does not start. Try the following things:

Manually install VC REDIST 2015 from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=48145
Manually install DirectX from Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/179113/how-to-install-the-latest-version-of-directx
Everyone with a laptop can test the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2rCej9JdWs
Switch off the steam overlay in the game: Right-click on the game, Properties -> Deactivate Steam Overlay
Update graphics driver
If graphics drivers are already up-to-date, install DDU and then reinstall: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
If you use Windows Defender, exe Doom will be whitelisted
If you use Reshade, disable / uninstall it
If you have overclocked your graphics card or CPU very much, go to standard and test again.

FYI ALL - I have a Nvidia 2060 and I updated to the latest Nvidia driver 445 from 442. Game loads and I am able to almost resume the campaign and at the loading screen waiting for me to press 'space'. Once I do that game crashes and goes to desktop. I reverted driver back to 442 and all is working again. Don't update driver just yet?

menu loaded in 640*480 (which was great because i couldnt read any of the messages). i was able to find the right aspect ratio and res. but it doesnt work. all i see is a black screen and "Loading". i do have the newest nvidia drivers. when i switch to fullscreen with alt+enter the whole screen is black. when i hit space i can hear the intro starting but see nothing.

what's happening is that my xbox one x instantly crashes as soon as mars loads and says there is a ventilation error, even when there was this much space. I am honestly given up, bought a physical disc as well to try and fix it but that hasn't worked at all.

I tried sending bethesda a support ticket about my problem, but the page instantly refreshes when I attach dxdiag and msinfo, no matter the browser I use. I own doom eternal on steam. I have a ryzen 3 2200g, 8gb ram and RX 580 4gb vram. Doom eternal runs as it is supposed to (80-120 fps, depending on zones), but when I alt tab, the framerate cuts in half, in the same area. My game is always on fullscreen. I disabled fullscreen optimization. No programs in the backround. I also get this program if my pc is not freshly started. Let's say I surfed web a bit, and then I start doom eternal. The only way to fix this is by restarting the pc and starting doom eternal after that. Steam overlay is off. I have the latest drivers, freshly installed. Windows is up to date. My settings are: textures medium, shadows high, the rest nightmare. my vram is not overloaded. Nothing changes if I set to lower settings. My gpu and cpu are not overheating. I tried reinstalling the game, the same problem. Pls help!

I'm playing on Xbox One, and I've just finished the campaign on UV. The game ran 100% smoothly the whole time, until ||phase 1 of the icon of sin fight||. The game crashed once and froze 3 times, all upon death. I don't know what happened, I just wanted to point out that this happened.

Also, my Ghost meatball skin in Battlemode doesn't show up, no matter how many times I reselect it. It shows that it's equipped in all the menus, but it remains on the default PE skin when I go into a lobby or a match.

I completed first Slayer gate and then I skipped second and third. Then I completed the fourth gate. I wanted to come back to previous Slayers gate but the Slayer key didn't appear and I couldn't open the gate. I was playing with cheat codes to get quicker to the gate.

I've been playing eternal on ps4, had no issues until just now. Replaying all levels to get collectables. Whenever I select nekroval part 2, it loads to 100% then exits game with error CE 34878-0. Have tried restarting ps4, deleting data and reinstalling from disc then update. Still same thing. Other levels seem to work. Though the master levels aren't now either

I am an active user in Slayers Club with 11.000 points, but my steam is linked to an older account of mine and apparently I can't link my current account because of that, so I tried to unlink my old account but learned that if I unlink it I will lose my pre-order and deluxe edition rewards. drivers are up to date, verified integrity of game files, reinstalled the game, downloaded extra directX stuff

it works on high graphics settings, but thats not getting my moneys worth, all leads point to me being able to run this game on UN

One last thing I would like to report here regarding the recent release of DOOM 64: the antialiasing in the game does not work at all on either PS4 or Xbox. It is off by default but turning it on does not change or get rid of the jaggy lines. There’s no noticeable difference. I know how it should look with antialiasing on because I have the EX version of DOOM 64 on PC and it is very noticeable when AA is enabled, especially on a 4K tv.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled doom eternal, port forwarded all of Bethesda's listed ports, and tried for hours to find a battlemode match with no luck.

If anyone has any info on how to fix this, please let me know.

hey guys i've been having issues with my audio recently where when I enter a big arena my audio gets weird and crackly. This is usually coupled with a drop in visual performance. I think it has to do with noises coming from too many sources at once but im not sure what to do

battlemode demon skin bug the only skin for my demon able to be represented for others to see whilst in a lobby is my doot skin all other skins will equip but not show up unless in the main menu or when we are in game

So I was stuck in the Arc Complex master level, I was in the room just after getting the super shotgun. I killed all the demons and noticed only the possessed kept respawning so there was probably an out of bounds enemy. Then I tried to kill myself and then the game crashed 😦

Anyone getting a REALLY weird bug that makes your monitor go full black and open up Microsoft Your Phone. It changes my second monitor into the resolution of a phone screen. I thought it was a virus but it only happens on doom eternal. I have updated drivers.

4. Switch off the steam overlay in the game: Right-click on the game, Properties -> Deactivate Steam Overlay
5. Update graphics driver
6. If graphics drivers are already up-to-date, install DDU and then reinstall the graphics driver after a restart: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
7. If you use Windows Defender, whitelist the doom eternal exe
8. If you use Reshade, disable / uninstall it
9. If you have overclocked your graphics card or CPU very much, go to standard and test again.
