Anyone uses wireshark? How do i filter out noise? Like, i run program, start capture and then set rule to ignore all those packets (to those ips and etc), so i could listen to only programs i want, when i run it?

@dense raptor If you have Doom set on Vulkan, OBS wont game capture it, it would need to be set to OpenGL in Doom, or display capture. Hopefully though OBS should have a Beta with Vulkan capture working out by March (they want it ready for Eternal)

Its glitched @wintry sundial. I have the same issue, i got the trophy for doing all the challenges and leveling all of the runes to max, but not getting all the runes. You have to play through again and do the rune challenges in game for it to count.. Idk why but its bugged.

Yeah the mp trophies can be a pain, but you get xp each match, so if you're not getting a ton of kills, then its just a longer grind. My advice is to fight fire with fire.

Hey I have a question - not specifically related to the games themselves but more so for the sake of a fan media project. So I'm working on an animation inspired by Doom and Doom: Eternal and I am trying to capture the Glory Kill glow effect. Could someone perhaps help me understand how I could capture that sorta orange-ish-red-ish outline glow in After Effects, using masks?
Or maybe, if someone knows, how the effect works in the game itself?

@neat ingot Unfortunately I have no experience with After Effects, but an easier way to think of the glow is viewing it in the negative first: The GK glow is essentially inverting the tones, making all of the shadows bright and all of the highlights dark.
So taking a normally-lit enemy, changing its colors to blue, then inverting those colors will roughly simulate the effect.
Making sure those shadows are very dark to begin with is key, so be sure to adjust the tones so that your darks are very dark and your lights are very light. Here's a simple rundown:

Probably you should ask that at Bethesda Support. At this moment I don't know. New Doom ports sync themselves with Beth account, steam has original version of Doom. Tho, you may link your Beth and Steam accounts, so they could get into that you own Doom. But that's unknown yet

The only versions of the games that allow for the DOOM Eternal skins are the re-releases on console (PS4, Xbox One, Switch), mobile, and Bethesda.net. There are currently no Steam versions of the games that have the necessary Slayers Club connectivity @rigid scarab

No matter how many times I try reinstalling, updating drivers, using different graphics API, when I play DOOM (2016) on my PC. Some of the in game touch screens don’t work. Vega shutdown screen hasn’t worked ever, foundry’s ending sequence doesn’t react to Olivia. finally some of the glory kills are wonky and clip through or don’t play right. I have no understanding why this happens at all

The game runs on Ultra, but it stutters so much it's so bad, I die because of the stutfer sometimes.
By 'it runs on Ultra' I mean that it's completely playable on Ultra, it's just the stutters during battle

Doom 2016 has started to freeze up for me really often, and the only way to unfreeze it is to alt tab to another window and back to doom a few times. Thing is this has a 90% chance of crashing my pc and either corrupting my save file or just straight up deleting it (also un is basically impossible). I've never had this issue before, my pc meets all the requirements and all that. Any help is appreciated (I wanna finish un before eternal ;-;)

There's a high frequency sound when the doom slayer double jumps. It's in doom 2016, quake champions, and it's still in doom eternal. If you can hear it, it's murder on the ears. If you can't hear it, you probably don't care
It's an issue only a minority of players have, so it hasn't gotten much attention
If you google it, there aren't many people who have talked about the issue.
If I send the developers a tweet, or make a forum post about it, they most likely won't even notice it

My Asus ROG used to throttle CPU to 800 MHz on 80 C temp. I disabled throttling and now everything is fine, temp is 85 C.

@olive flax you should locate your Doom save files and investigate them on your own if they are readable, otherwise just report this to the ID team, Idk if Doom shows a report issue option out there but you should find it since it is pretty hard to understand what is happening without logs or files.

I'm having a few issues with Doom 2016 but idk if they're specific to the game or my PC hardware/software. I'm trying to record gameplay with OBS of Doom 2016 but when I have it open alongside Doom, I never get past the boot loading screen before it BSOD's my PC
But I've tried recording other games with OBS and it works just fine
Another issue, when I alt tab from Doom it crashes. I have my graphics driver up to date, and my specs are:
•CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
•Graphics: Radeon RX 570
•RAM: 8 GB DDR4

that probably means you're using the codec that uses your CPU to record, so a dip in performance is expected

win10 by defualt installs hardwar eupdates and needs a regedit to block and system policies, its horrible exp for gamers but nvidia just say - hey post your moaning on out super cool green forum, and watch the complaints rise
and win10 comes integrated with dx12, and integrated graphics almost always conflict with nvidia drivers,
so now u got svga standard drivers, windows drivers,, vga drivers, hdmi drivers, vulkan and nvidia, geforce experience that doesnt allow u to setup an account so u need to use a webbrowser and forced updates when u dont need it -- fun on a bun

It can cause Vulkan games to not start if it's installed for all Vulkan games @carmine hollow . Try uninstalling it and, if that fails, reinstall windows.
