As per screen capture, clock continued to count down, esc no effect. Died selected ship respawn same issue.

when I went to launch just now, clock appeared continuing count down from previous, cancel re-search bloodsport cleared.

possibly has to do with game lacking focus, I tend to alt tab to another monitor when waiting. Will check further as I play.
