When binding controller Axis' the direction of input changes depending on whether the axis was pushed in the positive or negative direction during binding. The control should be learned consistently regardless of which direction it was pushed during binding.

that is an interesting point tho. If the game communicates that to the player. Then it could be a nice way of setting stuff up without having to setup inversion later-on

Yeah, but most players just wiggle it. And although during binding it is identified as -1.0 or 1.0; there is nothing in the UI later to tell the player which way it was bound.

absolutely. Reading your post made me realize that this is why it had this weird way of inverting seemingly randomly.
but funny enough: today, when rebinding controls, I didn't have to invert anything, it was as it should be. And Ithink it was because I moved them how I'd use them
