I love that the birthday plugin was added, but it's unfortunate that it doesn't include an ability to optionally set a timezone for the person with the birthday. Announcing birthdays at a set time based on the server's location isn't useful for an international community. At 8 am my time the people in Australia are already asleep and their birthday is over, so announcing it then is useless.

Yeah, I like that I can set a birthday for someone, but the big benefit of the birthday bot I use now is that timezones can be set, so people in other timezones can be wished happy birthday at 8 am (or wheneveer) in their time, not mine.

My community is international and I'm based in the US. If I set it to wish happy birthday at 8 am, that's night time in Australia for example. Those people with birthdays who live there are going to be asleep before anyone gets the announcement it's their birthday, whole day gone.

If it's not possible already, could I suggest a plugin for mee6 that can embed links with a command. Like sections of a wiki. For example, when someone ask how to do something with our minecraft mod or plugin, we can simply type in !worldgen and mee6 will embed a link with a title and a brief description. My first suggestion for today is to combine these 2 suggestions so that you can toggle if you want the bot to accept dms or not for opening tickets #┃upvote-suggestions message #┃upvote-suggestions message
edit: Maybe this dm ticket system could only be for premuim servers so that the custom instances point to one specific server.

a second suggestion is Allow mee6 to post to channels with the announcement channel setting enabled. useful for !announce custom commands.

a third suggestion I've just thought of is adding a command to add emojis to the server. say you have nitro and theres a emoji you want on your server you could do !addemoji followed by the emoji ( for example) and it will add it to the servers emoji list. I can't see it in #┃upvote-suggestions but i might have missed it.

and a fourth suggestion is, I'm not sure if it is possible but, it would be nice to have a command to tell you how many servers your in, maybe it could be part of !user-info. Ik the bot gets that info when you login to stuff with your discord acc

Ran out of characters on the post above but a fifth suggestion is: add in a server stats plugin, Could be a addition to #┃upvote-suggestions message which lets users create VCs or Text Channels via the dash which mee6 can control and shows info such as user status, members in server (broken down by bots and normal members), channels on the server, roles on the server and potentially the amount of members doing one activity. I feel as tho this would be better as a premium plugin as it seems like it could be very taxing for the bot and user activity tracking (i think anyway) would most likely be the most server intensive. This bot is a good example of what I'm trying to suggest https://statbot.net/.
The bot could also give/take roles from ppl if they are in the top 10 senders of msgs or spend the most time in VCs. I added a screenshot of a example here : #〉suggestions message

I have heard from a bot dev of the bot i grabbed a screenshot from (#〉suggestions message) that to run such a feature on a bot is somewhat difficult and so I dubt mee6 will be able to have this as a feature.

A sixth suggestion: Add embed option to the welcome plugin msgs specifically the leave msgs

Seventh suggestion: allow role rewards to be set to both remove previous rewards and stack previous rewards, at least for one or two role rewards OR Add in a ability to add a role if a specif role is assigned i.e. I would like users to get a promo role when they reach level 10 on the level system but i already have a role reward system set as remove previous role rewards and i don't want to change that

Eighth suggestion: Add in a leader-board embed option to link the leader-board to a website or reedit page

If you're having problems, that feels like a support or a bug issue, not a suggestion. I'd hazard to say it works great for most people, otherwise you'd see a lot of other similar complaints.

What I would guess is that you ran into some issues, whether it was your server or Mee6 at the time, whatever. That's valid, you ran into an issue. But coming here with exclamations and angry emotes as if you'd been done wrong and the devs here have earned your rudeness is something else entirely. In my opinion. 🙂

And for the record, my server does music quizzes multiple a night, multiple nights a week sometimes, and have never seen the issues you describe. So the entire feature isn't broken, you just had an issue. That's cool, report it, get help. Everyone's happy.

A way to set up timed messages in servers. I know it's already a thing, but the inability to set a specified time and day for it is bothersome and when I do set it, it's delayed.

For example, I run a stock market/investing server and the market closes at 4pm eastern every trading day (2pm my local time). I ask every day how everyone did after 4pm eastern hits. I set the bot to send the message every 24hours on the weekdays, I hit the submit button on the plugin at about 4:05-4:10pm eastern yesterday and it wasn't sent 24hrs from the time I hit submit. It finally sent about 3 hours later (7pm eastern) at which point it was no use because I had already asked. Yes, I also made sure that my mee6 time zone settings were correct before I set up the message, and after the message was sent late.

I don't have a problem setting up and submitting the message request at the time I want, so the interval is correct, but at least have it actually send at that interval. But, if you're going to work on the issue to begin with, then I'm sure everyone can benefit from picking the specific days and times they'd like the messages to go through.

Otherwise, great bot so far! It works well for everything else I need it to do. 👌

I thought more about user bots with that. Though I would have an idea how to let the bot differentiate. There could be a separate option for bots. How it works is, if the user doesn't have x amounts of unique posts (no similar or exact wording) before he starts spamming, he will be banned. It is 99% a bot if he just joins and starts spamming. And even if not, if you join just to spam everyone you deserve a ban lol.

I've done it with custom commands as well. You have a command that users can use to give themselves a role, and the command simultaneously removes other roles. So yes, there are already multiple ways Mee6 does this.

So what I was suggesting earlier was in the automated actions or somewhere they add settings to help punish users for being muted and manage role permissions by removing/swapping roles if a user has multiple roles or one specific role such as a role ment to mute the user
With these tools some very annoying limitations discord roles permissions in channel settings and managing what roles a user can have at the same time
making setting up roles very convenient
This can not be done with reaction roles I'm suggesting settings to mainly assist and make channel permissions setup and moderation and punishing users really easy

Let me ask this question - what is it you're trying to accomplish by removing roles during a mute that you can't already accomplish by adjusting the permissions of the Muted role? Most people who seem fixated on this idea of a mute having to remove every other role only feel this way because their server isn't properly configured with the Muted role above others in the hierarchy, and their channels setup in a way that the Muted permission overrides others by denying the ability to type, react, talk, etc.
I understand what you're asking for and always have, but the disconnect continues to be that you aren't willing to listen to feedback and discuss the existing features that can address this, either in Discord natively or through Mee6.

As for your response, I seem doomed to repeat this - you aren't asking for anything new. lol As I think I've said three times now, it has been requested repeatedly that a mute should automatically remove roles (and some would like them re-added after a mute, some wouldn't, but that would likely be customized if such a feature were implemented). Staff have seen this request dozens if not hundreds of times.

As for connections to categories and channels, the mute itself can remove all their access to all those things, unless your goal is to permanently remove access even when the mute has ended. If that's your goal, see above comment and all previous comments which stated the same thing.

Problem :
Actualy, we can just select one per one channel for each command where is'nt available, but it's complex with a lot of channel in the server.

Suggestion :
In each command settings, add possibility to select an only one channel available for all or for each.

Exemple :
For !birthdays select the channel "#birthday" and the command is'nt available in other channel.

Mee6 is a moderation bot.

It needs to support the ability to disable custom !rank banners.

As a moderator of a discord server, I want to be able to disable custom !rank banners, even if users have opted to pay Mee6 for this functionality on other servers, to maintain my moderation integrity and prevent inappropriate content.

Burden of the Bad Words list

I know I can just copy paste from lists out there, and I actually really like the liberty you guys have set up.

However, I feel like it would be cool if you guys took from, say, a supreme bot like Gaius in this field and tried to implement an optional 'want to auto-generate a recommended list of bad words?' for people to not have to constantly deal with creating that list? Especially since we're all just humans, very different from each other and therefore unable to properly fathom how many 'bad words' really exist.

I am recommending Gaius, 'cause it is a genius bot when it comes to censoring, so I really suggest learning from them with the censoring and bad words, and trying to implement that to MEE6- that would really make MEE6 lay on top of the moderation bot-rank. And yes, according to Discord's Academy, which they themselves ranked bots accordingly, ranked bots like Gaius and others highly above MEE6 in terms of moderation.

Hello, could the vote-skip for music be changed to a message with emoticon reaction that x amount of people need to click to vote skip the song. everybody has to type the command right now which is kind of dodgy when there is 20 people and 11 need to type the command.
(optional, the message deleted itself after the vote passes or after the song the vote is for ends)

It comes up regularly and is consistently denied by saying the same thing I said above. This is where searching before making a suggestion is always recommended (per the channel info). Giving certain roles or channels higher XP rates than others can create an immediate bias in the system. I get what you're asking for, and I honestly wouldn't mind being able to give nitro boosters and patreon supporters in my community a little XP boost too, but I also 100% understand why the devs haven't been interested in adding it.

Allow the Auto-moderator's "repeated text" option to delete webhook messages or maybe some sort of extra flag on certain automod features that would allow it to interact with webhooks better. (obviously you don't wanna mute / ban your own webhooks, the main reason i'm bringing this up is due to having a webhook that often sends repeated text and it'd be nice to have a way to clean the log up a bit)

I think something similar has been suggested in the past but I suggestion I have is to add a change-log to the mee6 for any changes that get added to the bot such as new plugins (altho i know that they get tagged as new as well as changes to existing plugins with new features added/removed/updated). I think the last time I saw a suggestion like this was for a new channel to be added to the server for such things and I think that got denied but I think it would be a useful feature on the bots website as not everyone checks their dashboard all the time and so they might not be aware of any changes, in fact the new birthday plugin just appeared and those who checked the dashboard knew it existed but i am sure many people were not aware.

Improve Streaming tags and update https://help.mee6.xyz/en/article/twitch-live-notifications-wc0idt/ and https://help.mee6.xyz/en/article/custom-commands-variables-a03926/ to include the new variables as, for example {streamer} which doesn't appear at all.
