Levelling up in VCs
Concept: Each minute, MEE6 detects audio activity from a user. If it detects anything, it adds xp to the user. If it doesn't detect anything, it just waits for the user to say something. Then the timer starts again. Wait another minute. Talk. Gain XP. Simple.
Drawbacks: MEE6 will have to be visible in calls, and it can't be utilised in multiple VCs.
Not Drawbacks: For the people that don't really enjoy typing and more of a talker, this could be more like your style.

Suggestion:
I want to be able to mute a user by their "User ID", so that someone who is no longer on the server is muted as soon as they join.
Note that MEE6 already has a list of muted users who are not on the server -- since it knows to re-mute those who are muted and have left the server, in order to re-mute them when they return.
So this is a matter of adding a user to that list.

a function that stops server nuking (an admin or user simply ruining your server by deleting heaps of stuff etc.) (the way it could work is that the bot is higher than admins and if the bot detects mass changes in the log or server nefarious changes really close to each other the bot takes away the offender roles and temp bans them and notifys the owner if its a false alarm then they jus come back if its real then the bot saved your server, my server got nuked so that's why this feature is close to my heart

You can add a rating system. For example, if you have a meme chat, you can vote memes, if they're good or bad. Then if most of the votes are positive, then you'll xp, if you have the levelling system on. But, if the majority of votes is negative, then you may lose xp. In order to make your meme voteable, you'll have to have !votethis typed in the caption, then it will come up with a mark or a cross.

Suggestion: When muting someone, eventually we'll be able to specify the userId, not just the user name.
I'd like to suggest that there be an option where if a user Id is specified, even if the user is not on the server, the id would still get in the muted list.
The user may have been kicked instead of muted. So we want to mute them so that when they come back, they're still in the muted state.

MEEWAVE6 I assume you want some kind of verification system for your server, so here's what you need to do:
1. Create a role named "Verified" and "Not Verified" for example.

2. Go to your channel settings. :gear: > Permissions > Deny the read messages permission RedTick for the "Not Verified" role, so they can't see the channels.

3. Create a channel called #Verification and allow the "Not Verified" role to read messages GreenTick here.

4. Go to your MEE6 dashboard https://mee6.xyz/dashboard and select your server, then the Welcome plugin welcome Scroll to the bottom and add a role to give to a user when they join the server. (The "Not Verified" role).

5. Go to the Custom Commands plugin cc and create one called "!Verify" then add the actions "Give Role" and "Remove Role".
• Select the "Verified" role to be given.
• Select the "Not Verified" role to be removed.
• Scroll to the bottom and select "Clear command invocation" then save the command.

Having problems muting someone/they aren't muted? Check the following

Prerequisites:

  • Moderator plugin is enabled
  • !mute command isn't disabled
  • Bot has role with Manage Roles and Manage Channels permissions
  • Muted role is under MEE6 role
  • You're trying to mute someone using !mute @mention reason, otherwise it will not work

If user got Muted role but still can talk means there's issue with your channel permissions
Go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

  • If that's public channel that can be accessed by anyone:
  • Set GrayTick Send Messages for all roles except Muted
  • Set RedTick Send Messages for Muted role
  • If that's secret channel that requires *special* role to access it:

Suggestion: the "random" feature shouldn't just pick a random one from the list each time. Because that way you get repeats. It should be random the way cards in a deck are in random order by shuffling. Each command that's got random msgs should first be shuffled, and each time the command is issued, the next item is used, so every item is used once. When done, the list is shuffled again.
Extra bonus: When a new item is added, it should go to the top of the deck because usually you want to see that item as soon as possible.

Even with a deck of cards it is still possible to pull out a duplicate once the card is placed back.

If people are able to work out what remaining probabilities there are when there's 1-3 responses left, it takes away the randomness and leaves it to chance.

@loud hawk I'm not sure I fully understand the scenario you're describing as to why that's a problem. Can you give me an example how something unexpected might happen?
Today, you might get the same response 3 or 4 times in a row. I've seen it happen.
But if you cycle through the entire thing, then at least, you're not getting repeats.

The problem statement I'm trying to address is not full randomness, but to avoid repeats. Even if it went down the list in the same order ever time, that's still be better. Yes, it's not random at that point, but I personally would use that mode every time for what we're using it for.

In fact, I have a script right now with yagpdb bot that I do that, but I have to type in the text right in the script itself -- it's not as nice as the MEE6 bot's UI. And we prefer to use MEE6 for anything that it can do first before using other bots.

Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Would it be possible that MEE6 was able to send automatic messages at precise time of the day ? Like I wanted the bot to say "good morning" and "good night", but with the 24h timers, it always sending messages at the same hour (20h20) no matter WHEN I program it. So I would end up having "good morning" and "good night" following each other directly Hahah x)

Timed messages until deletion.

In big servers, when a member is warned, or muted, or even banned. The embed is nice, but most of the time it will be 3 or more embeds in a row, which flood the chat and makes it look les clean.

What im suggesting is give an option on the dashboard (mod plugin) where you can set an amount of time until that embed is deleted. Same with automated actions, and manual commands.

In each individual moderator command, there could also be an option to choose the time it stays until its removed. This would be an incredibly useful feature for bigger servers.

I think the XP system needs to get a feature that removes XP from inactive people. The longer you are inactive, the more XP points are removed. If you fall below a reward role threshold, the rewarded role will be removed as well.
