I think we should have an ingame poll made before any other changes are considered for Classic to see if the majority would like to see Classic rank/mmr removed. I think a lot of the balancing, adjusting, and tight rope walking that’s going on trying to please the split community might slowly fix itself then. Numerous players have claimed that everything from displaying the top player in a game to win/loss records increased the toxicity of Classic. So maybe if we removed rank, win/loss tracking in profiles, and even displaying who the top player is in a game might just fix all this and result in a better experience for everyone without the need to continue the rabbit hole. Who knows unless we try and see.

The interesting thing about that poll was 50/50 was it wasn't 50/50. It was clear one way on reddit and clear one way on here. Which I have zero respect for reddit polls as it's super, super easy to bot Reddit. And yes there was an IG Poll. But it was very... how do I put this politely, phrased to be slanted toward people to just agree with ranks being a thing. Presently this is the only "esport title" that I know of that doesn't actually offer a queueable casual mode to it's player base. Because when you throw visible MMR calculations (rank in our case) to the players then you have destroyed the casual element of the game.
And what I mean by phrased so that people just agree to keep the status quo was nothing was presented as far as a pro/con one way or the other. It was just yo should we have classic ranks. Yes, no, idk.

We asked the community this with our new in-game poll feature. There was no intention of skewing results/maintaining the status quo. We wanted to genuinely understand community preferences. We may have unintentionally skewed results with the context we provided, but I think we were reasonably fair about it.
Title: Loading screen ranks in Classic
Question: Some players have suggested that ranks should be hidden in the Classic loading screen, because they make the queue too tryhard. Other players prefer to keep them, because ranks give a sense of accomplishment as well as transparency into matchmaking. Which do you prefer?
