A) After participating in last weeks challenge (2/5/2023?) and observing the subsequent winner result, it appears that the result is seemingly unduplicatable.

B) After the painstaking rigging of the winner's (Haxity) setup, within the sandbox, and several hundred (yes hundred or more) duplicated wave resets- the wave was NEVER cleared. At best, the wave would be reduced to 3 or so carapace's with medium health resulting in a ~30% ish leak. This happened far less than a ~50%> result.

C) Including the past winning setup and duplicated lane setup to demonstrate equality in testing.

In summary, either one of two things has occurred; 1) the mobs hit their intended targets perfectly and vise-versa resulting in an absolute one-in-a-million chance success, or 2) one of the mercenaries or mobs never spawned or was otherwise delayed etc. Both of these scenarios are hard to believe, which is why the rabbit hole has led me here. Please understand that I am not looking to persecute the winner, but gain clarity as to why the the winning setup is unrepeatable. Thank you in advance.

@vestal atlas would probably explain how he did it, he’s active in discord. I don’t believe any exploits, but as you said the RNG of the elite archers, and oath breakers as well as sniping the mole there’s just a lot of scenarios. I’ve spent 2 hours once and finally got the outcome I’ve wanted, and many other weekly winners have spent up to 8 hours trying to get a high score.

it was very RNG dependent. the mole has to split right and die second after the snail, the two left oathbreakers need to take enough damage that they proc unchained rage but also stay alive until the whole left side is cleared, once the safety mole is dead the flying healer is almost dead the oathbreakers+chained fist and the right side of the wave meet up - the chained fist tanks damage while the two upped oathbreakers are doing a ton of damage. once they die then it's down to the archers who, if youre lucky, both tank some damage for max damage output.

if any of the conditions didnt get met like the safety mole not dying, reset. if one oathbreaker on the left died, reset. if one of the archers took too much damage and the oathbreaker couldnt proc unchained rage, reset. i started with a high score of 200 then worked my way up to 220 then 240 i had a ton of attempts and failures to get the result i got. also there might be a more optimal setup than mine to get a more consistent result. bear in mind im not good at the game i just figured out good positioning on how to kill the safety mole early with the lifebinder early thanks to @simple ridge 's advice on a previous challenge and the rest i just brute forced through trial and error.

While appreciating the honest reply, generally most of what you stated occurred in the reproduction but one would venture that the winning result may never be reproduced ever again. There is simply too much "luck" involved. Period.

Perhaps if there were a "re-verify success attempt" before awarding a victory in the future would be great. Something like that would reduce the one-off unrepeatability and employ a habit of making something that actually works.

Wishful thinking, and unclear results, but thank you to those who responded.

Lets make weekly challenge even more of a grind by having to get good aggro twice in a row - does not seem like a great solution for a non deterministic game.

Generally, if your build is sound, it will be less relevant where a mob or two goes. Sure it's great to stretch extreme's and see what's possible, but it's teaching some fundamental flaws.

Considering this topic closed to reduce troll-related responses, unless someone can provide publishable results.

Well the entire point of the challenge is limit testing. None of them are actually viable builds in an actual game since they often revolve around sniping sends for that specific wave
