Cant move after clicking on another window

(On linux btw)
Whenever i click anything out of trackmania, and i go back to trackmania, i cant use movement keys at all and I have to close and restart the game.
Pressing escape and clicking and selecting tracks still works fine, its just that I cant actually play the maps because I cant move
Exiting the track and going back in doesnt work either.
Does anyone know what is causing this.
Trackmania itself works fine as long as I dont click outside of that window.
Im using windowed borderless and other settings dont fix this problem.

Hm. Did you try to tab in with alt+tab? Thats the only thing I would think of. Very strange

Oh ive had this also on linux

Im on mint and when this happened I just clicked esc and clicked the ubisoft connect button

Escaped from ubisoft connect, and I could drive again
