Since the Steam version of Trackmania Nations Forever often comes with various issues like the whitescreen problem (see ?whitescreen for reference) it is highly recommended to download the standalone version of the game. Standalone means the game doesn't need Steam or other launchers to start.

ok I will try that. I always had the steam version and it didn't have problems except the whitescreen, but it went away when I updated it.
