No overall, you can get trophies based on what activities you play, go into your profile and you will see overall trophies

if you're top 1k by global trophy points, you get a gold band
I think that's currently around 14 million points or something around there

- By playing on Arcade servers (depends on the amount of players on the server, how many of them you beat and what the trophy rank of the players beaten is)

- By participating in Nadeo hosted events like A08 Forever or Trackmania World Tour (TMGL champions win a Trophy 9, I think also ZRT Cup winners maybe?)
- By participating in certain third party events (Not sure if implemented, but Nadeo wanted to have a system where tournaments hosted by third parties through the ingame competition tool could "buy" a certain trophy as reward for the winners through the "clubs" ingame currency)

that's why the seasonal campaign arcade rooms are a gold mine for people that wanna gain a lot of trophies
