#

what codec do you use?

#

and can you show us your render settings

#

on avi you get a selection of codecs to select

#

and you have to select, set up the right one, and then press ok

#

get rid of sub sample reflections and raycast for sure
and idk if player labels while rendering might be bugged

#

it happens once you press ok

#

you select avi, then press ok to render

#

that's when it'll bring up the selection

#

as a separate window

#

but

#

i think your issue is not the codec

#

you see the flag also during the rendering

#

right?

#

well so first of all

#

why is 3d stereo on

#

second, why player labels on

#

disable sharpen, disable 3d stero, disable player labels

#

it might also just be the combination of 3d stereo and player labels that fucks up the labels

#

since 3d stereo is a feature relatively untested

#

no

#

webm is fine

#

your 3d stereo is already a huge issue

#

like i said get rid of it

#

except for when you're trying to make a 3d video on purpose

#

but i doubt that's what you want

#

left-right 3d stereo i can confirm in TM2 already that it's broken since ever

#

will make the motionblur and edges smoother at the cost of taking much longer

#

for quicker renders, 9x is enough

#

the most difference past 9x is in the motionblur

#

motionblur fyi must stay on Full

#

anything else is broken

#

you can abort a render mid-render at any point btw and get what you already rendered as a working file

#

so if you just wanna test settings, let it render for a few seconds, and then you get a short snippet if it works as you want or not

#

what did you do now

#

did you use avi uncompressed?

#

you gotta either use webm, or avi with lagarith lossless

#

or whatever codec of your choice

#

as an unexperienced user you're probably best of sticking with built in webm

#

unexplained

#

just leave it

#

because you have to install it yourself

#

you can also install x264 codecs

#

or a divx

#

whatever you wanna work with

#

it depends on your workflow in video editing software

#

if you don't plan on using the footage in any editing afterwards, just go for webm

#

that you have to look for yourself

#

it's different for every codec

#

it's like a program to install so

#

you'll have to consult the installation guides for each

#

but with you just starting out i'd really just scrap codecs entirely for now

#

and really go with webm

#

not really no

#

the only other thing you can open is

#

when you select a configurable codec

#

the "configure" button will open the codec's UI itself

#

just use webm
