So my PC does have a a usb c port however I've never been able to get it to work. What are some good recommendations for some external storage for gaming?

I have a 320GB Maxone drive that works pretty good

Are you looking for an SSD that’s just not an M.2 or one that’s physically on the outside of your pc

#

Cause SATA SSDs are pretty decent you just need a SATA cable to your motherboard

I don't have another M.2 slot on my motherboard. Now when it comes to SATA I'm not sure

Both the connector that the cable is plugged into and the one next to it are SATA connections

i cant get the video to work

#

actually i may not need to, it looks like the cable and tray at the start are for a SATA SSD

That gray tray and the cable I’m holding

grand dragon
#

yup thats what thats for

long warren
#

Seriously? I always thought that was for something else

#

There’s two SATA ports just behind that as well

grand dragon
#

there should be a big connector and a small connector on the cable

long warren
#

These were kind of bunched together but there’s two linked together

grand dragon
#

That looks right

Okay send me good ones because I’m ordering on right now

#

And by that I mean SATA ssds

grand dragon
#

This is the one I have

#

I’ve got OW, Rivals, No man’s sky’, plus some and they all run fairly well

I forget we have the same case

grand dragon
#

We do?

#

I also forgot that

#

It’ll plug in something like that

long warren
#

Yeah I found the other smaller end piece

#

Now I’m looking because I kinda want to get it today

#

Today

Idk what all you kept from your pc box but you’ll need at least 2 screws to help secure it to the tray, it doesn’t have to sit there but it helps keep things organized and out of the way

long warren
#

What size screws?

#

There probably somewhere and push comes to it I can go buy those screws

grand dragon
#

idk the exact size but they tiny, the ones i used were spare ones from the box my pc came in

#

the SSD i bought didnt come with the screws so you may want to look for that as well

long warren
#

I found it. Typically they are m3 5mm screws

#

I can get some pretty cheap

grand dragon
#

i was about to say yeah, i found either M3 x 4mm or M3 x 5mm

long warren
#

Also thank you because no lie I never knew what that was for and had no idea it was for a SATA SSD

#

Truly it looked like a very old HDD slot and I remember being very confused by it when I first saw it

grand dragon
#

i mean you could also plug an optical disk drive in there but i think youll get more use out of the SSD

#

put a blu-ray player in your pc case that doesnt have a DvD port Kappa

Now comes the problem. Everywhere has the 1TB version of the one you have in stock but not the 2. Do I go for a different brand? Or just wait and have the 2 delivered

i mean i got mine from walmart so it may not be a bad idea just to drive down there and see if they have it anyway
