woeful gazelle
#

Okay there are 2 problems I see right away

#

one is just unlucky:

#

skill issue on tracking

stable meadow
#

hmm

#

so just focus on tracking?

woeful gazelle
#

I feel like youre already doing a good job focusing more on tracking than on the switching part

#

at least in this scenario

#

but there are some targets where it just seems like you struggle with the tracking itself

#

if you regularly play leapswitch

stable meadow
#

no lol

woeful gazelle
#

you could just spend a bit of extra time on PGTI

stable meadow
#

that was my first day of leap

#

hmm

#

ok pgti

woeful gazelle
#

The other problem is

#

the switching part

#

you regularly flick BELOW the target while its going up

#

no bueno

stable meadow
#

do i just ditch pokeswitch and go for nova tracking first?

#

for improvement in leap too

woeful gazelle
#

my idea is always tracking at the top part of the arc, where I barely have ANY vertical movement

#

that will also just make the trackign easier

#

but after you kill a target you often flick below the next one and track up again

stable meadow
#

ok so work on tracking and pathing

#

?

woeful gazelle
#

this might be a bit hard to visualize, but you just killed a target where you crosshair is and youre going to flick left to the next ones

#

but your first instinct is to flick to where the target is at this point

#

instead of where its going to be when the flick lands

#

so you end up looking like this

#

i hope thats somewhat understandable

stable meadow
#

yh i understand

#

I just flick to where the target is at the start of the flick

#

instead of where its going to end up

woeful gazelle
#

exactly

#

i havent really looked a lot at the pathing yet, this is more of a flick problem than a pathing one

stable meadow
#

oh i thought like where ur flick ends up

#

is apart of pathing

#

ig not

woeful gazelle
#

it also makes the tracking after that harder, because you have a fast flick, then another fast adjustment and then you want to slowly track

#

nah id say pathing is just which target you choose next and thats already it

stable meadow
#

i see

#

ty louis

#

just to confirm

#

do i one trick tracking for a bit

#

so it isnt a skill issue

#

then go back to leapswitch

woeful gazelle
#

checked for pathing, dont think its your main issue. ofc its not always perfect but it shouldnt really be youre main focus, youre mostly doing fine.
Quick recap:
In your head Leapswitch should be called Leaptrack. The tracking part is whats important. The kill window for targets is from just about to reach their peak, to just after - that way you minimize the vertical component. Generally the less vertical movements you have in your runs, the better.
Flick speed isnt nearly as important as how clean your flicks are. they should end up on the target, not below.
I believe that if you fix the target acquisition part (i.e. the flick) your tracking could also improve from that. Generally its never a bad idea to get good at tracking (precision and/or control) to improve your leapswitch though
