Hello, sorry about the incoming wall of text, but please bear with it and give me some advice if you have the time.
It would mean a ton to me.

~~

I've been using R5R for a good while now, and I've trained in 1v1's to a pretty appreciable amount. I dont really ever hit top of the leaderboards (im mnk 🥴) but i generally sit around 8 to 6th place on a full server.

However, even with all of this practice and skill and whatnot, like the second i hop into normal apex it feels like im playing the videogame for the first time all over again.
Extremely shaky, inconsistent aim, missing shots i normally would've never missed, the inability to do most of the movement ive mastered,,,,
the second i boot up normal apex it's like all of those hours just melt away. i fumble, panic, and generally just toss everything ive built up away.

Is this just some sort of nerves? some expectation to/ fear of underperforming and failing? Is it perhaps my comparative inexperience with the normal game and it's chaos, given how many hours ive spent casually relaxing in r5r 1v1s?? Maybe something with the physics?

I have no idea, but what I do know is that there's nothing more frustrating than mastering a skill for thousands of hours, only to perform like an absolute beginner.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm genuinely desperate for answers/ help, and would greatly appreciate any advice y'all may have.
