So i use the fundamentals, but i go up by two. Example is im currently a diamond so i will practice on the Master fundamental. Ill do about 30-45mins of training and mark where i left off. The next day ill start at that location
That's definitely what I would recommend. Now if you are struggling with some scenarios like in my case currently I'm having a hard time with clicking static. I might do some research and find scenarios that help me get better in those areas, like working on making direct lines to each target, or work on moving my hand faster but still controlled, trying not to over aim but ever so slightly under aim and then make my micro correction, etc etc
I thought that the fundamental routines were tailed to what you needed for your current skill level, so to reach the fastest improvement, wouldn't it actually hurt your progress to do a fundamental which is 2 whole levels above?
this is what I found in the FAQ of the VT Fundamental training document
When making the fundamental routines we wanted to make sure that each scenario was hard enough to be challenging, without being so difficult that it’s out of reach for the player practicing on it. As a general rule it’s usually best to play the routine associated with the rank you’re currently benchmarking at, but in the end it’s just a guideline. If you think the optimal difficulty balance presides within a different level of routine, whether harder or easier, then feel free to give it a shot. Just make sure as you sample other levels of routine you’re honest with yourself about your limitations when training.
I hate this meme.
