I've only ever used, or felt comfortable with 800 DPI (monitor is a 27" 1080p). I recently switched mice from a G503 SE Hero to the Deathadder V3 Pro. Given the heavy weight of the G503 + the fact the game I play is a third-person shooter that requires ADSing for ranged weaps to deal legitimate damage, I had begun using a dpi shift to drop from 800 (where I could spin 180 degrees in about 70% of my mouse pads width)- to 450 while ADS'ing. It made sense too, to give ADSing it's own sensitivity given it's a separate fov in first-person. Now I'd like to abandon the shift entirely and no longer have two separate muscle memories functioning, and assumed the 450 DPI as shooting accuracy is obvs the priority. Before I get too comfortable here, should I be concerned with anything in terms of DPI x Sensitivity conversion? Like, I've only ever heard of people sticking to DPI's such as 400, 500, 800, 1200, 1600 etc. as opposed to "950" OR "1350" or "650". Maybe the numbers are numbers, but something in the back of my head tells me there's probably a significant connection between DPI stages and typical 25"/27" gaming monitor sizes in terms of mouse movement or control difficulty?🤔 Let me know if I'm onto somethin here or not lol
