I’m shit at aiming help
@tidal gust Train it. There's much, much, much, MUCH more to aiming than anything the health channel can really help you with. I'd advise you use the sparky benchmarks as a good guideline and tester, as well as watching high ranked players in both kovaaks and in game play and comparing
yeah i never feel the back of my chair cause its kinda slanted away from my back its hella weird lmao
@warm flare If you can't adjust your chair for appropriate neck/back support, get a new one
You might just have a postural issue, but if you actually can't reach it because IT'S slanted, buy a new one. If you think it's a posture thing, try placing something along the lines of a tennis ball between your shoulder blades in your mid/upper back region, and make sure it stays there. If you feel it slipping down, you're hunching/leaning forward
Idk what to do i aim train 25 to 30 mins a day and always am super consistent with aim training but i feel like my mouse control is not improving and it just feels like im wasting time and its messing with my mental because its making me think that i wont be able to get super good mouse control so i dont have to worry about my aim any more when i get into fights its really getting me upset anyone know how to fix this mentality or suggest things to do?
@warm flare Play the game not to see yourself perform, but rather play it to learn. Invest yourself in aim training as a university student invests themselves into their respective major. Be analytical before you're critical, be observant without cherry picking. Fairly judge your performance against the standard you aim to achieve, and actively pursue help as to how to improve your weaknesses
"Okay so I'm shaking a lot when tracking this one bot. Let me try to loosen my grip a little without losing basic control. ...
Okay, So now I'm not as reactive with my tracking! Let me train my reactivity while keeping a controlled, but not tight grip on my mouse, and supplement it with some smoothness scenarios!"
Be consistent with such analysis and you'll improve monumentally. Also, I encourage you to record VODs, no matter how strenuous it is. OBS is great for this, and VODs allow you to objectively review your performance with no biases or inaccuracies
What to do with wrist pain when doing tracking scenarios?
take breaks
like small breaks i also take turmeric in morning or night
also i play on high sens so that i would b cracked on my normal sens
aight
What to do with wrist pain when doing tracking scenarios?
@rotund moss Make sure your grip on your mouse is as loose as possible without losing control
If the pain persists, this might be due to tightness in your forearm muscles

normal for hand to burn after 300 min of nonstop kovaak?
i just bought new pillow and blanket for 150$ and it insane
no longer wake up often after 5 hrs sleep but 8 hrs straight
ez
sleeping with 2 duvets is really nice
normal for hand to burn after 300 min of nonstop kovaak?
@native grove Yes, hand muscles are getting tired
Thx
Should I use arm rests when playing?
I get tired when I don’t use them, and my arms start to slouch.
When I do use them, my aim is jittery because my arm has tons of friction against the chair arm rest.
that really depends on your chair and desk height. In my experience the arm rests are always too low so using them would cause really bad posture or they get in the way of me moving close enough to the desk.
@lusty river I have a desk that curves around me, so I can rest my arm on it. I intentionally position myself so I can rest my arm on it. I wear a compression sleeve that reduces friction against my forearm. Consider getting one, preferably with a thumb-hole so it covers the base of your wrist, or try a long-sleeve shirt. One of the downsides is if I'm too close, I regularly and painfully bump my elbow against the desk.
yesterday I was so so so happy that I set a new score on every single scenario in valorant playlist and also hitting 1000+ on 1w6t small for the first time, but then I went 6-15 in game just now without a single headshot. It is mentally devastating lol

@mellow turret It's a very common thing to feel. It's also common to mistake kovaak's progression with significant in game progress. I've found that kovaak's will help push your mouse control to advanced levels, but in order to be able to incorporate what kovaak's has given you in game, you MUST play the game itself and work on your aim in it specifically
And especially in valorant there way more factor. Also peeker advantage
ive spoken to a fair few people and they tend to perform worse ingame if they did aim prac in kvk or whatever before playing
try doing kovaaks after playing instead
you might feel worn out and stuff but it might turn out better for you
ive found people often interpret/reflect their mistakes or misplays incorrectly in valorant. way too often a lack of proper crosshair placement is noted mentally as too bad aim when its just not true. therefore proceeding to practice the supposed inability to aim and come back to valorant will further amplify that thought or habit and you will perform even worse. make sure you properly analyze or get someone to analyze what your issues actually are before looking to improve. else it can backfire quite hard.
past 5 months ive spent on valorant i got significantly worse in kovaaks.
while improving significantly in valorant.
little bit of a weird question even for the health channel, but i had surgery about a week ago and my mouth has tasted like some ungodly combination of chemicals and metal ever since. I've heard it could be from anesthesia but I also get the taste when I take my antibiotics, any help/ideas?
I am begging for help this shit is AWFUL
also the surgery wasnt like on my mouth or anything
Many antibiotics cause a metallic taste in the mouth. Penicillin, amoxicillin, Augmentin, and cephalosporins (Ancef, Keflex) are commonly prescribed for acute sore throat, and ear and sinus infections, and they may lead to a metallic taste in your mouth
@rapid folio so it should theoretically stop a little bit after i'm done with the antibiotics?
yea fairly quick
thank goodness
I was just confused bc i had the taste in my mouth right after waking up from surgery before i had even taken any antibiotics
anesthesia
How likely is carpal tunnel while using kovaaks regularly because it needs way more mouse movement than, say,a tac shooter like csgo/valo
Wrist rest or not ??????
@vast temple wdym?
Wrist rest bad
Why tho
Pressure on wrist
@loud plover haha thanks for your feedback, it made me feel much better just to let it out of my chest, so thank you for listening and caring! I also think I was stressed due to hw. I will push through it, absorb the failure, learn, adapt and stay motivated to train
@winter abyss wdym by wrist rest
That I shouldn't keep my wrist on the mousepad?
Hover it ?
@soft stag p sure he was responding to tasos who asked a question separate from yours
Yes
So i am 13 and my avg reaction time is like 190 to 180 ms and i dont take any stuff with huge amount of l-theanin in it so is it time to start taking it ? And can this stuff be addicting ?
@worn wolf is a wrist rest that boob thing on anime mousepads?
@worn wolf is a wrist rest that boob thing on anime mousepads?
@soft stag yes, yes it is
I think I'm going to buy some hand putty.
@loud plover haha thanks for your feedback, it made me feel much better just to let it out of my chest, so thank you for listening and caring! I also think I was stressed due to hw. I will push through it, absorb the failure, learn, adapt and stay motivated to train
@mellow turret Anytime mate. That's completely normal. I'm glad you're seeing the need to continue learning and adapting from your failures. Keep it up! 😄
@violet swan from what i heard its not addicting and i take theanine in form of black tea, reaction time dropped from 180ms to 150-160ms and most likely gonna get faster im also taking lutein
K thanks for the help
@loud plover can you say something about the drugs these two mentioned just above me?
@glad sorrel you might hit a ceiling to how much you'll improve
It might not even improve much now
@loud plover would you also tell how we could avoid carpal tunnel?
@loud plover can you say something about the drugs these two mentioned just above me?
@soft stag I can't say I know enough about these drugs to know their potential side effects, but I can tell you that drinking black tea to get a natural supplement of Theanine will not hurt you in monitored quantities. As for Lutein, there's not much I can say, as I'm not very aware of what it does
@loud plover would you also tell how we could avoid carpal tunnel?
@soft stag Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by pressure on your median nerve, which runs in the middle across the length of your arm. Prevention is quite simple. First off, be sure not to hold your mouse in a flexed position, or with tensed hands/wrist for a prolonged period of time. As a matter of fact, your aim will also improve in its smoothness and consistency once you learn to have a loose but controlled grip on your mouse. Additionally, and this is important, take breaks, you need to let the muscles in your forearm, as well as your wrist, to relax, they cannot be maintained under tension for long. Try to keep your wrist straight when holding any objects, as well as when you're sleeping. You should be good as long as you're aware of the general position and length in which that position is maintained
Okay so i hope i'm not the only one who starts to feel super sick and nausious after doing close fast strafe scenarios here. Do you guys have any tips to fix that? Or am i just unable to do those kinds of scenarios?
motion sickness maybe?
Plus a splitting headache
What would be a decent replacement for close strafe scens?
I’m struggling with ergonomics
How high should my arms ideally be?
If they’re at a 90* angle, only my wrist ends up on the desk
Because my arms would be so far back
Just do what feels good?
What feels good might not be healthy.
I want to play for years to come. Ergonomics are very important to me.
damn
I think it's my chair
22 inches in between arms
for reference, the aeron is 17" and the steelcase leap is 13"-20"
I just use a chair with no arms and tuck myself all the way in and the table acts as the arm rest
No space to slouch and allows me to freely arm aim
Just make sure that the table is low enough that the shoulders aren't raised
@pearl elk what in the world
so far ur the only other person i've seen that does the same sort of setup as me
I thought it was normal for all of us lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0v36rEJgck
Chair in this vid does have arms but they under the table
@worn wolf I'm the same lol
My stomach touches the table
Almost the whole arm from the elbow is on the table
how mf tall is that man
I removed arms from my chair bc they would bump into desk and I couldnt get close enough
but also I get shoulder/shaky issues because desk is too high so I have to figure out how to fix that now
I put a folded blanket on it so I'm elevated
So my elbows don't slouch or lifted too far up
probably should upgrade that chair in the future lol
changing from a dining chair to proper ego one can be life changing
It's actually one of the chairs from the dinner table :p
My previous one broke
So I'm stuck with it for now
@pearl elk I'll change it one day but it's not possible right now unfortunately
I have good posture so I don't think it's affecting me
idk it's probably unhealthy in the long run to sit long hours in that
but idk it's better than nothing
as long as it isnt uncomfortable and ur posture doesnt show signs of long term pain
cant be the worst
but theres also a reason i dont have a green name with the health tag
i dont know much
I only get time to game for 1-2 hours max so don't sit in it very long
Usually I just sit straight on my bed with my laptop
This is my setup in all its glory
need to get my mum to join this server and teach you guys how to keep your heart rates down
anyone else keeps getting really bad headaches after spamming a certain scenario for longer than lets say 30min?
i just started playing again yesterday after taking a break since feb/march
that's probably the maximum you should do
1hr a day generally
yeah 1-2 hours seems most efficient
The average human reaction time is 284 milliseconds. A professional baseball player, on average, reacts to a 95mph fastball in 150ms.
Vince Mancinni, a professional gamer who goes by Noted, has a speedy reaction time going all the way down to 97ms. In Vince's effort to get to...
Ok, thx
How long should it take for me to get consistent aim again after waking up?
can wanking affect my aim?
ok
Sometimes I get this dull, void feeling in my head. Sources tell me it's brain fog, but i'm not sure
How do you guys deal with something like this?
how do you guys deal with random anxiety bouts. where you feel like you're gonna die and lose the will to walk, move, or do anything for the duration
not quite anxiety attack level but kinda close
Ground yourself. Grab onto something, try to notice your body, feel real.
One thing I did that honestly stopped my unrealistic anxiety streak for all of last year was realizing every time I became paranoid, nothing happened.
I got tired of being anxious.
Going to the interface settings and hide the challenge timer. Hide your accuracy too if you need to. Don't think about it let it come naturally. I disabled the challenge timer because my peripheral vision will see it hitting the last 10 seconds and it will make me go crazy.
@grand tundra pay some extra for ikea markus
theres good chairs
and theres chairs for $150
pick one
(depends on what you define as good too
definately a good investment imo
it cheaper than the OG embody but also slightly different
i still w8ing for amazon to come to sweden first then see how it turn out to invest on one of those lol
logitech doesn't ship to sweden neither ...
F
coming soon in aus
not that i have the money =/
wait
when did herman miller
have a desk
they always have
or a gaming aeron
it a office company
aus lives matter
tbh feel like the collab is just to keep the price down
all coming soon
big sad
wonder how much a full herman miller gaming setup would cost
the chair already 2.1k aud
fucking 2080ti prices
well tbh the chair investment is pretty much one time thing
compare to a 2080ti
where you literally have to upgrade now
after 1 and half year imagine
also need a good chair
deadass about to use an outdoor twine chair
over my fuckin dinner table chair
which is why ikea exist they not insane but they still good one
desk is gonna be like 1k aud isnt it
they probably not have all those adjustment compare to other office chair but still
that desk look adjustable but honestly
there are better desk imo
just cuz easier to find
@rotund moss used ikea markus
otherwise there no such thing lol
100$ for a chair is like really hard to find a good one
hands already feeling better using putty.
i dont have rsi or carpal but i wouldnt be surprised if it got there in the next year.
How long it takes for my aim to get normal after waking up?
Any tips to counter cold hands when gaming?
Do something to get your blood flowing
Any tips to counter cold hands when gaming?
@upper folio I struggle with this a lot usually. What I did before was make sure that I wore warm clothing before, but sometimes that didn't help. What I do now is put my hands on warm water for 1-1.5 min while going movements like opening hands and closing into a fist and other small movements to promote blood flow.
@upper folio Tea helps a lot.
At least for me, it warms up my whole body and I feel ready to go.
At least for me, it warms up my whole body and I feel ready to go.
@lusty river Thought about doing that as well, seems like a good idea, I also heard green tea had a positive effect in relation to aiming
Any tips on how to acheive better deep sleep? I catch myself waking up after 6 hours sometimes (happened today) and I think it's somewhat ruining my progress
Tea is a tough one.
I enjoy it a lot.
But in terms of health, you always hear it's good for you and all that.
Pretty sure I went to a harvard trained medical professional and they said that tea is bad for you, just like coffee. Tea was basically medicine before it became a drink, so he said all you're doing is giving yourself medicine when you don't need it, which is supposedly not good for you.
I still drink it haha
Tea does help
thanks for the advices guys
im in love with tea tbh
don't add random stuff into your tea if not I,ll get piss
or publicly shame you cough
I should go buy some boxes of tisane or decaffeinated tea for the afternoon and night
sometimes I just crave tea but don't want to add more caffeine into my bloodstream hahaha
what kinds of tea do you guys like
i usually just drink green tea but i didnt like it as much recently
Jasmine is so smoooth
Tell me I'm not the only one who mix a tea spoon of matcha powder in my protein shake
I usually just have Lipton with sugar and a splash of milk tbh
Sometimes honey instead of sugar, and sometimes no milk
I tried a few different types of teas but always go back to normal black tea
guys i am a big cs noob, so i decided to do a speed routine on cs. it involves loads of flicking. after and while doing it is it normal that my mouse hand starts hurting?
yeah do stretches @violet swan
Should you keep doing your routine if your fingers up to your shoulders are hurting?
i would say dont stress your muscles and stuff to the point of pain
pain is an indicator to rest
@violet swan thanks for the info
My right tracking has gotten really weak recently and my wrist is getting more fatigued has anyone else experienced this?
Holy shit imma have to give up low bar squatting just to preserve my wrists I stg
This shits so rough
tried acv before going to bed and i had the best sleep i had in a long time
@mortal ledge you can low bar squat while maintaining wrist integrity wdym
If you’re putting to much strain on your wrist while low bar squatting your external rotation RoM needs some work
Yeah I have a similar issue
I work on my rotation but also use wrist wraps when I squat
it might yeah, i mean i can grip the bar in a heap of places where it doesn't hurt my wrists but its like
the more tension i want between the bar and my back, the more wrist pain comes with it
i did my last set with wrist wraps which helped though
so that might be my solution
After waking up, how long it takes to my aim to be consistent again?
@formal lotus no its overwatch queue
Someone should make a app that rings my phone when i get a ow game
Anyone that has tried Twinings Green tea & Lemon?
@arctic moat Is this a tea that you have previously tried out?
Hmm I see I see
My local store only has Green tea earl grey, green tea lemon and green tea lemon and mint
I'm trying to find out what would be the best
@arctic moat
anyone knows what pillow is this
@placid bison just an ergonomic pillow... It's useless if u sleep on ur stomach
And it's not a sleeping stream... He is queuing for dps LMAO
it looks so comfy
green tea taste like shit but man is it healthy
buy better green tea
Anyone use ergonomic chair? @ me with model and feedback Im looking to move from gaming chair and get an ergo one
green tea tastes amazing man
just make sure youre not brewing too hot and too long (or the reverse)
and yeah buy some quality loose leaf
not vry expensive
Matcha
Okay, I discovered that my aim would be a bit off if I didn't sleep well or I play/practice just after waking up. My question is: how long it takes to my muscle memory to be back to normal after waking up?
probably 1hr
s-musclememory
Muscle memory for aiming is a fad. A player with good mouse control will be able to change their sensitivity and mouse without any significant problems, so long as they don't go into extremes. There can be a noticeable difference, but that's not related to memory, but more related to comfort and preference.
Does anyone know any way to reverse or help shakiness caused by extreme arm strain from jitter clicking in Minecraft for 5 years straight
Serious question no doctor can help me
Or how to reduce tremors
@mossy rose probably around an hour, but doing some light cardio might help
What is light cardio?
Some excersize to get your blood flowing
i think just doing stuff to help practice keeping those hands steady and if you get arm strain do stretches and work out your arms more
i did beatsaber in VR to help get my hands to move smoother and keep them steady as i moved them because i struggle with keeping myself still
its not severe but its something that i struggle with
whats a good amount of boron to take daily?
Like for osteoarthritis?
Anyone find a way to increase focus?
@eternal dock you exercise and sleep enough?
Nope lol but I do the best I can with my lifestyle
Yeah I've got chaga lions mane and l thiamine but
Its powdered and I might wanna get tablets
I kinda get lazy and don't take it often
Thats your problem then
But I think you should supplement your stack with something else as well
I drink w coffee
L-Theanine is good though, try L-Tyrosine as well
I'll look into it
I have like 2 or 3 things I wanna add to my stack just
I want to get everything in pill form
Powder kinda sucks
I’m relatively experience so if you want to dm me I can give you stack feedback
I do everything in pill form.
famous last words
anyone knows what pillow is this
@placid bison my dad has that exact one, I'll dm u of I can find out if u want?
@cursive tapir would be cool, ty
okay thank you fish fren
@placid bison pillow also depend on how you sleep
side/stomach or normally
memory foam pillow is nice but not my taste for sleeping
The best food to eat before sleep?
preferably low glicemic stuff
Four days using therapy putty to exercise my hands and my aim has been cracked. I found the secret.
Does anyone know how to stop having the feeling where for example i play super amazing one day then the next day ill play super bad so i would start tilting my keyboard a different way or start moving my mousepad more up or more down or ill move my monitor more away or more tilted I cant tell if its just my worries or am i making excuses for why i played super bad that next day how do I fix this sort of mindset? Or any tips so i can understand why im soo inconsistent?
keep playing everyday (kovaaks or whatever) and keep your setup as consistent as possible
Check if ram timings are consistent
ram timings? might be dumb but what is that? @winter abyss
:google:

Is it bad that I don't feel tired even though I only got 7 hours of sleep
I’m still convinced that when you get less sleep than you need and you feel fine your braincells are committing ritual suicide to fuel your daily activities
Whenever I workout in the evening, I feel really energetic afterwards and I cant sleep lol. Is working out in the morning still give you the level of results ?
Are Dr Levi's wrist and arm exercises for gamers actually legit?
Obviously I meant if they're a good routine to follow or if I should see another video
how do you guys deal with burnout
Take a break!
Dopamine detox
Also don't go too hard in one day
Ye that's fair. It's just built up I guess. Probs take a small break
@thorn blade sleep well and workout
is it me or cracked pros drink sooooo much soda
any research on how tons of sugar affects your performance?

A lot of pro living kinda unhealthy too before joining a proper team with health coach and stuff
Like you still see a lot of them are overweight imo
Some are jacked or fit enough too.
Like as much as being pro i dont think mcdonald and 5 guys ,chipotle non stop with tons of coca cola help anything
It just them already been good at playing a game
because sitting for 12hrs + a day playing a game may mean you have shit habits
and fast food is easy to make
It not weird it just you have bad lifestyle and too poor to order on proper restaurant meal
Not to mention they eat and play at the same time sometimes
As much as they be like i am not stressing ultimately you are stressing
Yeah an unhealthy lifestyle just comes with the low income
Most of the time, you also develop that style from gaming so much as nak said
@eternal dock i mean most of the pro player that earn a lot of money dont really ye have bad lifestyle
like if we look at most of the TI winner on dota 2
they just shit money
like it not just a bad habit it also cuz even though they are pro they dont really have that good of income to begin with
not all pro are like rich people
most of the pro gamers I know who are pretty fit are people who used to play high level youth sports but replaced it with games after an injury or something
like wardell
also olof
I don't think BlameF had an injury but he did do a lot of sports at a young age
Lol I guess they eat like shit and get carried by genetics
well they are actually healthy for the most part
pretty sure wardell and blamef workout pretty often
along with some other cs pros like rush
BlameFs life is literally work out, scrim, death match, vod review, sleep
Man is a legit tank
Burnout simulator
waiting for gf's independent work to take off so i can be stay at home gamer and house cleaner
ez
What's some good food to eat for lunch and dinner?
chipotle
no
Hi is this position good for my wrist? If not how should I rest it, my arm rests are too short and not adjustable
Your arm looks really far out there and elongated.
unless you normally L shape it while gaming and this was just a picture
I heard that you wanted to support your wrist by putting your arm on the desk
I also heard that you want your arm in line with your shoulder
how did you cause that?
that is not real I Hope
Lmao see a doctor
thats a couple years of practice
bad practice but... practice
anomalies caused in bone structures are my favorite
nah its hella sick
That's ur left hand right?
yeah
Gm hand
U aim with left hand?
not usually
Are both hands like that?
im a lefty but i play with my right hand because when schools taught us how to type they didn't care about whether you were a lefty, you used your right hand for your mouse
@stone fjord your wrist looks like that because all the muscle memory it stored 💪 🧠
how painful is it?
shit dude that looks like it hurts
wait do you think it is worse for your wirst to make you keyboard vertical or should i j make it horizontal
I will never understand how the fuck people find vertical keyboard comfortable
i would like vertical keyboard but its so uncomfortable having my elbow on the table
also does anyone know why the fuck pasu and bounce 180 give me such bad shakes
idk if this is the right channel but ive asked it like 3 times in advice and gotten no answer
i could get such better scores on them but i miss so much because i shake so bad
neither of them are options to get good scores on
@terse willow shaking goes away after practice its just your body getting used to it
i play bounce 180 every day and ive been doing it for months and it hasnt been showing signs of going away
are there ever periods where there's no shaking?
not really
sometimes it lowers a little bit but theres always shakes
and it doesnt happen with any other scenarios
press escape and in the bottom right corner of the menu on the right
or bottom left idr
cant timescale in challenge mode
I mean if you're shaky as hell you should prob fix that before you grind for scores lol
im not shaky as hell anywhere else
literally those two scenarios
nothing else
also i dont really grind for scores either
sometimes i play for like 10 mins after im done training
ye
but i really dont want my score options to be reduced by 2 because i cant play them well at all
its only temporary, being able to click moving dots is pretty emportant
i can click moving dots
oh shit
that is so weird hm

@violet swan make me sum too :)
That isn't very healthy
josh with the gamer meal
Hey guys today during my smoothness routine my aim was very choppy
and felt stiff in general
what could this be caused by?
Only difference I am aware of is that I woke up pretty late today around at around 12
i heard that if u eat a protein based meal, go for a run for 30 mins and meditate for 15 mins and then eat a protein based meal it will help u focus @quasi phoenix
np
@quasi phoenix just be aware of shitty days can happen, it can be impacted more with shit sleep schedule eating poorly etc
ur cutting ur leg off and wondering why you can’t run as fast as someone else with two legs
my guess it’s a combination of a bad day and sleep?
How do I stop shaky aim as a whole?
I know caffiene is bad
practice smoothness routines
Pulled something in my upper back today at work, anything I should do other than ice it and rest?
why is my aim better at night?
Because after hours of being awake and moving around and doing stuff you kinda naturally stretch, so ur not as stiff and it's easier to aim
very pepega explanation but yeah. I find that it's helpful to just exercise in general so u can aim better earlier in the day, can be weightlifting or pullups or pushups or something, but it's still not quite the same as exercising + waiting til later
why is my aim better at night?
@glad sorrel less people on the power grid
@quasi phoenix could your hands have been cold?
Also i had a lil headache last night playing too much kovaaks does that? Im pretty sure it was like eye pain. Pepega explanation is fine kinda figure im too stiff in morning and not warmed up.
anyone got any tips or a video ect for sitting position, amount of arm on desk and shit like that?
@stone hedge For posture check the pins in this channel
As for how much arm on desk, the most common neutral position is to put whole arm on table and leave elbow floating
Take away or add some more arm, it's entirely up to you, your setup, sensitivity and preference
Some like to put their elbow on their table for added stability, but it's harder to make large sweeping motions or go vertical
That is situational anyways, and I wouldn't overthink this too much
any studies for monitor ergos? i see most people have their monitor tilted upward like 80 degrees to the table, but i've played with it flat 90 degrees my entire life
aye
anyone know how to deal with cold hands
Burpees
Btw if u bois don’t have it already I recommend downloading flux
Isn't blue light tinting built in to windows 10 now
Flux more customizable
f.lux is better
I have cold hands all the time because I have anxiety, but it is normally due to poor circulation or nerves while gaming. What i like to do is sit on my hands, or rub them together and create some friction if I dont feel like getting up. If not you can go to the sink and run some warm water over your hands to get the blood flowing. Exercise and diet changes are also nice long term solutions. @meager ore
Or it could be because you have the AC blasting lol
u could also buy hand warmers
Grind till they are warm
or not
@wraith wolf i was literally just thinking about you and how i haven’t seen u around for a while
how’s everything going
@wraith wolf
Pretty good just college and zoom has me pretty busy that’s why I haven’t been kovaaking or been active but I’ll try to be more active because I wanna reach GM how have you been?
@worthy cloud
College on zoom sounds horrible
I've used zoom for a business meeting once
Not a fan
I don’t like being negative but yeah it’s very awful it’s been all busy work and I haven’t really learned anything kind of feels like highschool all over again
Due dates just everywhere and it’s unorganized it’s a mess lol
That guy doesn't even have a logi x herman Miller gaming chair
how can he have good posture
Idk I find the build-in windows one work fine for me

guys how should my arm posture be for my mouse hand? Im trying to setup my new height adjustable desk but idk what i should do like do i have it rested on my armrest at the same height as the desk or lower/higher? If its the same level it creates the problem of me being too far from my desk because my arms are short
I took off my arms because of this
Rip arms
@violet swan water is the best drink
I’m trying to start getting myself into shape. The first step I’ve taken is to exercise everyday, but I’m doing very basic things and I’m not sure if I’m doing the RIGHT things. I’m also not quite sure what to do in terms of eating better, vitamins, ect. I’ll explain what I do right now, but I don’t think it’s very good because I’m not quite sure if I’m exercising the muscles I need to and I’m trying to improve my routine.
Sorry for my grammar I’m kinda high ngl
I especially want to build muscle and possibly improve my posture a bit
Trying to get into shape and be healthy, while also being kinda high, that’s a bruh moment
what're you doing for exercise currently @wide whale
if you want to improve posture it's important to balance any kind of pressing with pulling work
especially stuff like face pulls
I do something pretty simple rn
I run up and down my hill 3 times to warm up
after stretching
Stretch after warmup
then I just do 50 pushups, crunches/sit-ups (can't decide what to do with these due to them not necessarily being the best thing to do every day), and squats. I've only been at it for about 5 days now so I wanted to start extremely simple just so I could get myself into the habit of going outside to do it.
it might be worth buying a set of resistance bands so you can get some pulling work in
if you don't have any gym access
can't neglect the back muscles
especially if you want good posture
i dont get what the posture sheet thing in the pinned messages means by pulling my chin back
tuck your chin in
but i dont understand what that means
Exactly as it sounds
i literally do not understand what to do

This is an absolute must for anyone who suffers with neck pain on a regular basis.
It's purpose is to improve head position, by bringing the head into alignment with the rest of the body.

@terse willow
thanks
when i do a slow left right with my wrist i can feel a pop, like cracking knuckles
doesn't happen often though
but sus af
Speaking of. Does cracking knuckles mess your hands ?
no
My arm gets pretty shaky when doing the cata scenarios specifically, most other ones im fine
Prolly gets shaky due to you tensing the arm or your muscles not used to such movement
Hello, can U plz recommend any budget gaming chairs?
buy a mesh office chair with lumbar support
how to not kill index finger?
Hi guys. Sorry to bother you, but I'm interested in the question. Will my reflexes and aim decrease if I take glycine? What do you know about this?
Same, I try to wear my contacts as little as possible (only going outside) because they dry up your eyes so much
@worthy cloud ayo i remember talking to you a while ago about your lifting routine
mind sharing it? or just generally what it is. I havent lifted in a while so i think imma go for strength building first then a mix of hypertrophy and strength
Hmm sleeping early worth it? All the early bird wakers in chat is sleeping early worth? I mostly play until 3am because I hardly have any time during the day.
I have horrible reactivity which i notice on stuff like air nuns etc. other than reactivity routines which im doing are there any easy lifestyle changes I can do to help
I get like 7-8 hours of sleep so i dont think thats an issue
@storm verge I was running nSuns 5/3/1 for a while
the 5 day variant
it's a pretty good strength building routine especially for OHP
@vast temple try to crack them by pulling your fingers, pushing them down is less good but okay and pushing them backwards is bad
ty
i play so much better at night then compared to the afternoon/morning is there any reason for that or is this the wrong channel to ask this type of shit
what about with gamesense
and also what kinda of stretches should i be doing before playing is there like a link for a doc or something for that
just work out and warm up
why do i feel like my game sense is also better during the night time
i have somewhat bad add/adhd but my parents dont want to get me tested. doesnt anyone know things i can do at home to help?
Is it bad to not play Kovaaks for over a week basically to focus on school work?
Yes
@worthy cloud okay cool thats what i was gonna do
Nice
how long did you do strength building before you switched to hypertrophy
okay maybe ill do both after a couple months
do the main lift heavy then accessory higher reps
you ever do shoulder press tho?
I do OHP at least once a week
i think imma skip that. Also i used to do endurance lifting like 20 reps and 25 sets haha
lower weight but i think ill manage, hopefully
OHP is great for upper body strength
problem is i never deadlifted really, and i dont know my 1 RM so itll take a week or 2 before i make a program
ill probably throw it in somewhere tbh
deadlift max is usually at or a bit higher than squat
i wanna start working out but i got no clue where to start i’m a scrawny ass 15 year old
@violet swan Run. Just run
Then when U dont get worn out from 5 min of running research what u wana do
should i aim for a certain mile time or something
At 15 you can start weight training too
i don’t have access to a gym/equipment
lots of bodyweight exercises you can do
I will second the running. Cardio is great for you, if you don't do any form of excersize, its a great place to start
Hey, I've got a problem with my hands, idk if it's a circulation problem but basically it can happen in my right or left hand seperately/or at the same time, it's predominantly in my right hand though. My hand feels extremely cold like ice cold,I can put them under hot water/a heat bag for a few mins and still be very cold. Bit weird but is there anything I can do for this/anyone even know if this has a name ? No pins and needles or anything like that.
That's probably something you should go to the doctor for.
is it actually proven beneficial to take days off from playing kovaaks? currently just playing 30 mins to warmup
There nothinh really proven it about how you feel it yourself a lot of these thing are mental
If you dont like kovaak on a specific day or dont feel like it and just want to hit a game
Then do it
No point of forcing yourself to must play kovaak because there tons of way to warm up in any game
@feral cobalt i used to have the same problem. I started going to sleep at a decent our (23/00) and waking up around 8-9 am. As soon as i wake up i go for a 30 min walk and started working out. Since then i always have warm hands
most of the blood is like in your legs, so if you don't activate them and workout, you'll have poor blood circulation, at least i think that's how it works 🙂
I was actually planning on setting a sleep cycle and doing a workout in the morning routine in the morning @abstract vine 😅😅 it's not like a 24/7 thing I have but when you have it and you're gaming/doing something with your hands you feel kind of off 😋
Just got a home gym. Consists of a power rack (squat rack), dumbbells, barbell, plates, and a bench. Any good videos for form or workout plans?
I've been doing bodyweight workouts for over two years and can consistently do 50+ pushups and 18+ pullups in a row.
Starting Strength or StrongLifts 5x5 are usually recommended to beginning lifters.
What grip is this?
looks like claw grip to me
looks like a claw
And this one?
Also these as well, just trying to see how my grip changes depending on the mouse
it really doesn't matter to much
claw and fingertip are just opposite of each other, as claw moves your finger up if needed, and fingertip moves your finger down if needed, palm is just shit as your can't use your fingies at all 👉 👈
^ @pine notch
hello, is it normal that i tense my wrist while playing 1w6ts reload
Yes, it’s normal but it’s generally a bad habit since you won’t be as smooth
My mental + physical feels really bad
I feels so heavy when I play ranked or play multiplayer game
so I want to take a full day break but I don't know how to take a break properly any suggestion?
do something else, go on a walk, talk to a friend etc
@dusk folio at morning do intense cardio(Running-Cycling-Swimming) for like 20-40 minutes and your mental and physical will be much better , for a full day break just go somewhere that you can't reach your computer , it's best for recovery 😛
my wrist down to my elbow feels kind of tight and depending on how i rotate my arm or wrist it hurts, anyone know some tips to reduce it?
@pine notch is that the viper mini? and does the grip tape help
@hexed minnow Yes it's the viper mini. And the grip tape works extremely well. I honestly have a hard time letting go of the mouse lol
yeah the grip tape really helps imo
advice for anxiety mid game ? like it causes me to play sooo bad
when it gets intense
@mellow void in general or due certain teammates?
@violet swan Most people tell themselves they can't work out because they don't have equipment. If you want to be healthier, try to enable yourself. Just start out with small distances, like a mile or two. Ideally you want to start running two miles a couple of times a week minimum, that will really help you out with endurance.
think if shoulder blade is hurting due to gaming its a posture related issue? wrist, arms etc feel fine, but shoulder blade killing me.
yes
fug
Guys, any tips or recommendations when buying a brace for my wrist?
I don't have much knowledge and I don't know which one will be worth it.
How can I be an energetic crackhead? Like something specific I need to do (Besides the obvious solutions: caffeine, sugar, staying healthy cuz I do all that already)
This might be a super dumb question but how hard should I be gripping my mouse? sometimes I feel like im not gripping it hard enough then other times i feel like im gripping it WAYY too hard
should be trying to be as relaxed as possible when holding your mouse
gripping or tensing too hard will make it harder and is also a hard habit to crack
but is getting a good grip on the mouse okay? or should I just try to grip it light?
yeah you should be comfortable with gripping the mouse but excessive pressure is bad
ok ty so much
remove arms
I found that hilarious for no good reason
lmfao
imagine if someone didn’t know what chair arms were called
so he thought he was just telling him to cut his arms off
@storm hamlet in general
@mellow void ill tag you again later with my response, just woke up, but I gotchu
thanks
@mellow void Anxiety in competitive games is very normal, I been thru it, the way I dealt with it is constantly reminding myself that "it's just a game" and take a deep breath, try to stay calm.
Also, try to seek teammates that don't yell at you when you commit mistakes, constructive feedback is important yes, but avoid the people that are constantly pointing fingers
And don't restrict your playstyle, if you see a chance for a risky play, then do it, even if it doesn't work and your anxiety kicks in, gotta remind yourself that it's just a game
being true to your own desires is the only way you can break yourself from that prison
Thanks ❤️
a question, how high do I have to be the seat of the chair? I'm 1.75cm
and on the other hand, how can I improve muscle reaction time?
ate boiled eggs today and shit made me almost puke after the 2nd egg
never had this issue
is it better to play with a chair that has no armrests?
Both my wrists are making a popping noise when rotated they also occasionally hurt when doing random tasks, any advice?
This chair worth the money? https://lfgaming.com/collections/all/products/isolator-gaming-chair?variant=31369301524591
at that price i think getting a used herman miller would probably be a lot better
i got an aeron for 220 and its no doubt the best chair ive ever had
I stretched my arms, hands and wrists and they're still shaking.
is it normal to weird aim after working out? like my arm feels weird trying aim after i workout
my hands sweat so much when i play that i set the flood amber alert off in my area
how to not sweat as much?
i think i might have rsi
Whenever i play osu i get a throbbing pain in the middle of my left forearm
which is what arm i click with
is your arm
pushed onto your table
cause people use their arm as the pressure point
to avoid wrist pain
for osu
should heal over night
its not in my wrist
its like my forearm
in a vertical line
its also not necessarily when i play osu, it flares up other times too
There are finger tendons in your arm
so would it make sense to assume that i do have rsi
best to consult a doctor
aight
if you have money, yay
damn, you must be loaded, wanna help a brother out?
yeah, gaming chairs are usually just bullshit, the herman miller x logitech one is actually made for comfort
@mystic path knew what before because the logitech one is new release. The usual one are 300-400$ more expensive
There are slight different between the 2 but nothing game breaking
You can check the review to see the different but it not any deal breaking for the price the one cheaper is better.
Chair is also preference it not 100% embody gonna be for you since a lot of people like aeron nore and vice versa
Steelcase also a good option
Embody are more focus on posture
A lot of ppl think that if it feel like sitting on cloud, it good
But it not
So the embody aint gonna feel like a sofa
If that what you looking for
It ofc not stiff
Just to clarify
I dont own one i just test sitting at store
But definately gathering money for it
I mean it is comfortable but it not a sofa
And imo sitting on a sofa 8 hrs not gonna be good for your body
I have the shakiness in my wrist only when I move the mouse from left to right and it has not gotten any better after 150 hours in KvK. I wanted to ask if anyone who had a similar problem actually managed to fix it because at this point it is becoming really discouraging.
I used to have it, For me it just got better after a while of playing the game (200 hours playtime rn) Not sure if it's the same for everyone though
I am doing the smoothness routine before actual Gold routine every day and expected some amount of progress but not improving at all. I will give it some more time I guess. I will come back with the results after 300 hours. Thanks for your answer.
@violet swan make sure you'll also keeping up with health related things. eating enough food, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep.
I definitely will. The thing is, when I move my wrist left to right, my biceps get involved as well. I can feel a string of muscle tense up and the same thing happens when I click the mouse button. Totally irrelevant muscle parts get involved in the process. I am following that clue at the moment. Will let you know how it goes.
@violet swan that might be due to a lack of flexibility in the necessary muscles/joints so supplementary muscles are having to be used in order to aid with the movement
Is this a good percentage to lose fat and get muscles?
my arm starts to hurt everytime i do aim training
3 days back i did smoothnes routine too long and it started that time
what do i do
😦
what is a healthy daily mg of L-theanine?
@worn wolf I personally take 200mg a day
Am I doing anything wrong here?
table too high, arm too straight
my arm rests are too short and I can't adjust the height of either
don't use arm wrest, it puts pressure on your wrist, restricting blood flow
see if you can raise the chair, use footrest if you want
yes I don't use the armrest
If I raise the chair my legs press into the desk
so how should I rest my arm?
how thick is your desk?
you got a tray underneath? if not, then the height is fine
no the desk is on the floor
huh?
what do you mean by tray?
like a keyboard tray or a drawer
oh yeah there is a drawer
hmm, ok, nothing you can do about that
what makes you say it's too high?
you arm not angling much
oh
elbow should be at your side
oh
but it's ok, just not amazing posture, you can still get good aim
you shouldn't reach too far
I have decent aim. I just don't want carpel tunnel or mouse arm
should I put like half my forearm on my desk then?
that would be better
or just sit closer
I was sitting pretty close in that picture
but ye half forearm pretty good imo
also dont tense your arm when playing and stretch regularly
stretching takes like 3 mins or so but its worth it
i mean depend on what game you play
i mean stretch your wrist
you can always stretch between matches, queue
stretching between matches might make your aim feel off tho
that's better right?
if you play OW you might able do a workout session and take a shower
siege and val are my main games right now
lmao
it was destiny but that game is trash now
ngl but like either you not sitting up straight
or you just leanning back to your chair cuz it look like you are reaching
sit closer and arm to the right more
theoritically that would be a perfect position
but in practice nobody sits like that lol
can you try to move closer to the desk as possible
and move monitor deeper into the desk
I sit like that
play on desk instead
I mean did you see the pic I sent? The black thing is the start of armrest
i mean if that the case you can just sit closer
then would be ok
then you will have less reaching out
ye it better imo but also depend on how your chair is too if it a bad chair you can't just sit upright meanwhile having the support
yeah I remember building it
my main concern is like health risks
i mean if table too high
so like in the pics I sent is there anything that that position will lead to that you can see
I heard that was caused if it wasn't supported
anyway gotta work tomorrow all i can help is that much imo if you can't adjust your chair then getting a better table might be a good choice
but if my arm is resting on my desk then it doesn't have the weight to support right?
just try to reach less
I could remove the drawer and increase my chair height
thx, you too
I think I have diabetes. I’m thirsty right after I piss.
go see a doctor
yeah your right I removed the drawer and it feels a lot better
now that I'm not leaning
@granite inlet stop
@hollow spade what?
I just started working out everyday 2 weeks ago
do you have any tips on which protein powder, supplements i should buy
and what to stay away from
@tame fable if you're like new new to weightlifting, i'd stick with just protein powder for now. which protein powder you choose can depend on what your goals are. some protein powders help with bulking, some with cutting.
Alright, thanks
I would recommend regular whey protein. Shoot for 20€/kg max.
Supplements are overrated as fuck
Bruh don’t buy protein powder yet. Cuz if you stop working out then u waisted money on a tub of that shit, u not gonna use
Bruh don’t buy protein powder yet. Cuz if you stop working out then u waisted money on a tub of that shit, u not gonna use
@vast temple Why would you stop? 😂
?? Idk but people be quick to stop the workout
I mean working out or not protein intake is a primary factor of health either way
Green tea is
generally the benefits you get from increased protein intake when working out peak at around 0.75g per pound of bodyweight
so u dont even need whey
for a 165 lbs person its like 120 grams of protein more or less idk dont wanna do the math
i use whey for greek yoghurt to make it taste better and in my pancakes etc
and shakes when im too lazy to cook stuff
also lifting weights everyday is stupid dont do that
same with calisthenics
doesn't protein shake boost your metabolism real high
like you eat way more than you usually do
no
exercise does that
the more calories u burn from exercise the hungrier u are usually
fair
check out greg doucette on yt
i mean as long as you let each bodypart rest for 48 hours
then you can lift even 6 days a week
Push pull legs push pull legs rest
when doing pull and legs you let your pushing muscle groups rest
so you can train 6days a week that way
generally you wanna aim to hit every bodypart 2-3 times a week
how you do it its up to you
fullbody 2x-3x times a week
upper lower splits
or ppl
id say most PPL is the most effective for beginners
the the thing that matters the most is how hard you push yourself and whether or not u eat enough calories and protein to grow
anyway
i really suggest to watch greg doucette on youtube as most of "fitness youtubers" are full of shit nowadays
I can't seem to focus during aim training, it just feels like my head is empty and in a blank stage
I'm also getting tested for ADHD
Is there a correlation?
Damn
One of the biggest reason why I started aim training was because I thought my aim was horrible but I noticed that I don't even look at my cross hair all the time
Every other second I'm staring at different places
same lol
