haha thats cool they even give you lil suggestion meals lol
it fits the macros i calculated pretty well tho, now just need a gym to open
is 34cm a good sens to help not get tendinitis? (already fixed my posture because hand was hurting and apparently that helps)
or should i stick w 45cm
just do the hand stretched before playing and don't play excessive amounts
from what i've heard using more arm than wrist will ease pressure from your wrist but I'm not sure about it
34 cm is good imo
I've been taking a break for a while to help my hand recover
well not a while, it's only been a day but does it usually take more than a day?
it still feels like it'll snap even while playing league
ye take longer
how do I speed it up
rest is key, i used my left hand to move the mouse for 2 weeks while i was recovering from my wrist injury
looks like I'll be using my gpw again

ive noticed quite recently im finding it hard to focus on the screen, i dont know how to explain it well but its like i cant focus on a single image like last night i was watching football and i was struggling to focus on the ball as it was being passed about, is there anything i can do to try and fix this
Is it possible to extend your wrist's maximum turning angle?
@worthy cloud sorry to get back to you so late but wisconsin
I use my campus gym cause its free
How do I stop from being constantly tired
proper sleep schedule
i have proper sleep schedule but still tired
Drink water, get sun in the morning
Why can I hear little pops in my joints
I’m not even purposefully cracking them
My wrist seems stiff too
I only spent like four hours today playing kvks so
playing kovaak's for 4 hours sounds like a contender for the cause
It doesn’t sound too bad though
are the health benefits of having my monitor far from me large? I cannot get used to it and it seems unnatural.
I have swelling on my middle joint on my pinky from switching to fingertip for a couple weeks. I use a ul2 can this be because I’m gripping my mouse too tightly? I know the mouse Is small but I don’t think it’s too small for me
What do you guys think about standing and playing games?
Are there any health improvements compared to sitting?
And performance benefits
standing is just fine if you want to and are comfortable but like krascsi said just sit with proper posture and youll be fine
but standing is great for bloodflow and stretching in general so go for it if you have an adjust able desk
@fading falcon maybe try taking a break or getting more sleep or something? That has happened to me a few times when im feeling burnt out, tired or distracted.

Wooting - http://region.w...
thought this vid was cool
@violet swan Don't think we have actual experts, but just people with experience and collected knowledge
ATM at least
expert was a relative term
do you guys rest your forearms on your arm chair and have the other bit on your desk? @worthy cloud
or do you guys just put the chair arms slightly under the desk to rest forearm on desk?
Ye i think arm rests are weird tbh. Maybe ill remove them
@meager ore sounds like tendonitis maybe?
I hope not lol
It is however stiff
And my hand feels tender sometimes
Not too much pain either
wrist brace is good
Is there a way to make an at home ice pack or something
supposedly you can make one with a ziploc bag filled 3/4 full with 2 parts water 1 part rubbing alcohol
I have a weird feeling in my forearm somewhat close to my wrist. Is this a symptom of carpal tunnel?
how do I stop being tired? even sleeping 8 - 10 hours a night ? when I see enemies I ignore them and i die , idk why
I feel you on that one
id say quarantine is affecting us all. before quarantine i got way less sleep but was more active
i had more energy
now i sit at home all day and still feel tired after sleeping for 12 hrs
quarantine got my mental boomed too ggs
oh same tho fr, this isn't just during quarantine but I'm just perpetually tired even tho I get enough sleep. It's not like super tired but still noticable, worse on some days
Could be depression. Or some sort of sleeping disorder causing you not to get good sleep, like sleep apnea or narcolepsy.
@meager ore late but if you have any frozen bags of food like peas or whatever you can use that
@meager ore i can only speak for personal experience here but i wore mine for 4 days and didnt play any games for 10 days following that
Gl with the injury man, hopefully it heals fast
any advice for trigger finger?
kinda hurts however i started to play with middle finger on lmb lol
The latest research is clear: the state of our attention determines the state of our lives. So how do we harness our attention to focus deeper, get distracted less, and even become more creative? Chris Bailey, author of the recent book Hyperfocus, talks about how our ability t...
^if kovaak is boring for you it might actually be a good thing lmao
Fellas whenever i take deep breaths i feel sharp pain in my heart is this normal
fkn no
not a lot
like it has maybe happened 3 times last 2 months
and it doesnt last long
only time it lasted long was just now
yeah also happens to me like once or twice a month
usually happens after getting up while laying down for me
like a sharp pain in my side and when i try to take deep breath
it hurts as well
we should prolly get that checked out tho
Why does my keyboard shoulder hurt after like 2 hours of playing Fortnite
any tips on dry eye?
@violet swan because in fortnite you need to do a lot of movements and very fast ones at that. edits and building will hurt a lot especially in very low sens
buts its in my left shoulder (keyboard shoulder)
Im not sure if this the right channel to ask this but how do I get rid of forearm friction without having to raise my forearm up off my desk? i have tried everything arm sleeves etc but aiming for a while for me has been a struggle because of the friction i always play with idk if its cause my forearm gets super hot really fast or something else any tips?
@uneven pebble but i like to play low sens i can hit my shots more and be more precise idk if i want to try a higher sens
do you deal with friction at all?
if i workout while at a caloric deficit will that mean i get leaner without bulking or gaining mass?
Not really, I play on 54cm/360 and never had an issue with friction, With lower sens you will logically miss less shots because there is more room for error. Obviously it is up to you if you want lower sens or more comfort. The plus side of having a higher sens is that you are more accurate when you go back to lower sens, and is better for practicing mouse control.
@warm flare
finally got some physical activity after sitting at home for 5 months
got to play some basketball
i knew i was gonna be rusty
but holy
it’s like i was playing for the first time
and my stamina is so shit now
used to play like 2-3 hrs every night no problem and now i got tired after 15 mins and could barely breathe after an hour
ye my stamina is so shit
Fish is good for stamina
i eat fish occasionally
but it’s rlly the no physical activity
that has fucked me
@limpid nimbus that depends on a few things, it depends on how much fat (energy reserves) you already have, if ur new to lifting, how much protein you eat, what kinda workout. Also I've heard it's just more efficient to bulk then cut instead of lean bulk, but you do you.
how does codeine mdma and weed affect aiming
I hope this is the right type of channel for me to post this hold on
Have to do this to gain weight. Gonna be scary
how do i tell if i jammed my finger or if i fractured it
you tell by going to the doctor
Ok so i have been timing the amount of time i have been playing on my computer today and so far its been around 15-16 hours. I have been doing this all year since i dropped out
I am addicted to video games and i need help
I have been gaming so much and its hurting me
Same
I cant think straight, my memory is shit i cant remember stuff from literally seconds ago and i feel fatigued
@eternal dock did you drop out of school?
I am 16
wtf
I cant say my condition?
I have asper gers so i have social anxiety and get really obsessed on things thats why i play 16 hours a days
why is that a banned word
If say consciously know that your on too much and like set a timer on your phone for like 8 hours and once it’s over do something else except technology for the rest of the day
i think its important to actually replace that time with something else tho, otherwise it'll be really hard to stop urself from coming back on the pc or something
how do I position lumbar support?
@glass mesa you need 2ndary hobby or just try go out for a walk often I know it hard this time a day but it will help.
also consult help if you need it. And try to have like 1 day or minimize as much just not playing at all(or even not using computer)
It is hard but if you start doing it you feel better imo because 16hrs a day is not healthy
I play at about 35cm/360. I've noticed that training certain scenarios that have a lot of high vertical movement, my elbow will come up off my desk as I move my mouse up, which probably isn't good in terms of ergonomics. I could probably increase my sensitivity to something in the 30-32cm/360 range and it'll keep my from raising my elbow as I move my mouse forward. Don't really want to change sens, but for health reasons maybe I should. What do you think?
Or maybe my desk is too high and my default mouse position should be with my elbow a little closer to my body
you have your entire arm on your desk up to your elbow wtf?
that in itself doesn't sound right to me
If you are shrugging your shoulder to keep that elbow up, then maybe raise your chair height but otherwise just let your arm glide around
@hollow lion My forearm is on my desk, but if I move my mouse forward a certain distance as my arm straightens my elblow lifts and my forearm comes off the desk. Higher sens would obviously make it so I could look straight up by moving my mouse a shorter distance and keep my forearm on my desk for more of the vertical range.
I think so @wheat valve . Chairs make a big difference. When I aimtrain in my gfs ergo chair and have solid back support it feels 100x better than the dining chair I use at home 😂
yeah i need to invest in a good chair
Idk if this is the channel for it but I pulled 220kg deadlift for a PR today by accidentally loading on 25’s instead of 20’s

hey yes i have food problem
basically everytime i eat something, anything
i have this really stupid sense of guilt
send help pls
are you overweight?
i don't think so
for a frame of reference if you looked at me
you wouldn't see my gut
through my shirt
Are you scared of being overweight or eating unhealthy?
yeah
eating unhealthy or being scared?
being scared
yeah mostly
hmmm Im not a professional at psychology, maybe somebody else is, maybe ask a therapist if its too bad
npnp
When I am playing my forearm gets really sore rubbing against my mousepad and desk, what’s a fix for this
Stretching and/or use long sleeves or a sports / compression sleeve
Stretching and/or use long sleeves or a sports / compression sleeve
@arctic moat Thanks, btw I got of stupid 10cm 😂
Are my joints in my fingers and wrist supposed to ache a lot after doing an hour of aim training
Cause it Kinda hurts ngl
Are you tensing really hard?
I do get some aching above my thumb due to how I grip my mouse at times and some lighter aching if I claw really aggresively for long periods of time (generally doing ts scenarios)
I think; but I’m not exactly cognitively aware of it while training; I just noticied aches and pain in joints
Yeah it flared up while doing pat target switch
guys anyone have experience with cubitla tunnel syndrome? As in ulnar nerve problem
i have it for a long time, its because of extensive mouse usage, and working out a lot, I can understand, and my doc always says, if i want it to not happen, i should not use my arm at all, so thats irrelevant, but i do use some inflammatory pills, some pills for muscle relaxing and some massage, thats all good, but sometimes the pain and numbness are unbearable and i cannot ask my doc, because she is like, either dont use your arm or have a surgery. So have you guys found anything useful?
any method to train longer without injuries/pain? progressive overload, or anything?
Train longer per day? Try taking more breaks in between set intervals, like every hour of training you do, you rest for 10-15 minutes, then continue
Relax and don't tense up
+1
Where are you feeling the tingling
yeah that's possibly the start of something like carpal tunnel
I woke up 2 days ago with pain on back of hand near the thumb, when i turn my hand in (towards body) i get pain. Mainly feels stiff around thumb area and index finger
at the start i had pain when i wasn't using it
that's gotten better though, but the pain when turning my hand is still just as bad
any ideas on what it is?
Does anyone powerlift?
How is it you approach increasing the weight? and also what rep-set ranges do you normally aim for
5x5 is solid
Usually sets of 3-5 is optimal for strength but personally I like the 6-8 range
Best advice I have is work on perfecting form for longterm gains
Hmm okay, I am currently doing 6-8 ranges and pyramiding the weight because I'm trying to get back up to what I was lifting before quarantine, but I've been enjoying it so was contemplating trying to actually focus on pushing weight as appose to muscle definition
Honestly diet makes a huge difference i went on a powerbuilding diet and shot up in weight pretty quickly just make sure your covering everything and it does take a long time unfortunately
5x5 is good for beginner i guess, because for me it would be too much volume, I generally do 3x5, then change it to 5x3, then maybe even 3x2.(setsxreps) also for powerliftin i never do pyramid, especually increasing the weight, maybe you can do reverse pyramid it is goodbut i never liked normal one.
And about weight please check RPE, when it is about strenhgt you should aim for RPE7-9 depending on your day
btw RPE 7 means, when you finish you reps, you could have done 3 more, RPE8 is like you chould have done 2 more, RPE 9,5 is like the max you can do, but on the safe side, RPE10 is kind of the physical limit which you shouldnt test
That is the best work plan for me, because you can never increase 1kgs at every single wo, sometimes you can be sleepless, sometimes you can be sick, with RPE, you can always push and get a consistent workout and never think about the weights(of course i write them but the main thing is how you feel).
and as @eternal dock said the most important thing is perfect form, weight will come eventually. I mean whatever you do, the weight will increase, so do not thinkg about it, just rest enough, eat enough, do your squats like a book.
And don't skip accessory work for imbalance
but it comes later mate, when he can add like 5kgs every session to squat no need for any accessory.
basic A/B wo is enough for solid 3-4 moths
Okay I guess I'll stop pyramiding for now and just try lower sets/reps at higher RPE on some days and lower RPE with rather 3x6 or 5x3 depending on how I feel
Thanks for the help though guys it means a lot
of course :)
Im having a lot of pain in my butt, I feel like its my tail bone. Could that mean I need a better chair?
get up and walk sometimes
anyone know why i would have slight discomfort in my left hand metacarpal area but my right hand is fine
@winter abyss after how long?
Once an hour is good
Handpain and some wrist pain but on the masters grind rn
Think sitting my hand in ice water would help?
Possibly but its best to just take a few days off
@zenith rapids maybe its how you're planting your wrist for wasd
Yeah ik I'm like 1 point off on a few scens so I just need like 1-3 days
I was only 1 off of 1 but the update and all
@worthy cloud most likely my posture isn’t too great due to my current laptop setup so my arm is at an angle
@zenith rapids you use laptop keyboard?
yes
ye it actually make thing harder imo
true nothing i can rlly do
just wondering if it’s something srs
like if i should stop for few days
ye probably get a separate keyboard is nice too imo
ye sadly i don’t got any extra usb ports on my laptop lmfao
taken up by mouse and laptop cooler
and i gotta use usbs pretty frequently
ye that a hard one but ye it hard using laptopkeyboard with laptop cooler imo
because i used one back in the day
your left hand too elevated
that is hard student life right there
yessir
but ye your laptop cooler not even tilt so it make thing really hard
i think this is not good for the long run so you seriously need to invest for a splitter or something imo
just for the cooler and a keyboard
but the space and eyes sight come at a problem....
probably not that bad i suppose but ye your laptop screen gonna be so far away
yeah true ig my best option is to just start saving for pc lol
is unconsciously tensing my hand while aim training a bad habit?
Dont know if this is the appropiate channel to ask this question, but is it normal for my aim to be more shaky when its cold and my hands are cold?
my hand just goes solid and I start click very hard
You should probably practice not doing that
Might see better scores
And less likely to hurt yourself
Is there an explanation on why sometimes on the vrt test I get less than 100ms on the first try, but then I get a significantly higher score? I usually average 160-180 when Im not that tired
less than 100 is physically impossible so u were prolly pre clicking
thanks for answer
How does weed affect aim @worthy cloud
kevin is a clean boy 😼
Im not talking about playingwhole your on it
But does using it hinder learning or anything
ur the коваакс doc not me
i would assume it would limit your aim improving abilities
and decrease the effectiveness of training
I'm sure there have been studies on how it affects your learning process
I just haven't looked into the subject much
What are proper ergonomics?
I’m not sure where I should adjust my chair too
If I keep my arms at 90*, my feet don’t touch the floor
If I make them touch the floor, my arms must reach higher onto the desk.
And should I be using the arm rests? I’m trying to prevent carpal tunnel and other injuries so I’m trying to stay healthy ergonomically
I don't personally use arm rests
But i probably would if I didn't play guitar in my chair
no but it helps keep your head positioned right at least for me
i didnt like arms on my chair its so weird having arm half on like that
the right side of my palm hurts sometimes when I'm playing, but I don't think I add any extra unecessary pressure.
take breaks
I’m sorry for being absent guys, I’ve been going through some personal issues over the past few weeks I’m happy to answer your guys questions now
It’s probably the shape of your mouse and grip/ hand size just take frequent breaks and you’ll adjust if it continues you might want to look into getting a comfortable mouse suited for you grip style and hand size @rough wigeon
@wraith wolf hey man its glad to see you back. i hope you are ok now and everything is sorted out. we missed you 🙂
In claw grip, how hard should I be gripping the mouse? Also, should my elbow be on the table, floating in the air, or be on the arm rest?
How ever tight youre comfortable with without causing pain it’s personal preference. Your arm should also be resting either on your desk or arm rest without your shoulder being shrugged.
during my routines I like to do various exercises after finishing scenarios
upper-body exercises usually fuck up my aim for some reason
assuming because it gets blood flowing + i build a tolerance to weight
is there any better way to go about it?
I guess dont do upper body or just less
If all i do for a work out is do 5 front flips in the morning and a few more through out the day is that fine? btw its on a trampoline
Is it more beneficial to breathe in then out or out then in?
how does it matter which one it is
unless you're talking about breathing during workouts?

@violet swan if you mean for cardio the thing that matters is your heart rate
Keep your heart rate elevated for a specific amount of time
Depends on your goals
herman miller is like the noctua of ergonomic chair isn't it?
herman miller seems more like custom hardline tubing water cooling
i see!
maybe i should have phrased used herman miller from craiglist
Should I add a memory foam to my chair? my butt is always sore after a long session
and i do stretch and move now and then (like every 40min or more)
aeron best chair
My elbows and body are around 100 degree to the table is it optimal
Shoulder are not really shrugged
Slightly elevated
Dont buy gaming chair
Look for ergo chairs for offices
Do your research though I recently bought an office chair from those big office furniture sites nd the chair sucked balls
actually if something has a name gaming it is waste of money, for example lets look at the headphones, if it says gaming from a gaming peripherals company, it means, its inside is 5 dollars, and they used some software to give you the illusion of its being 7.1 OMG sound with some built in sound equalizer which is totally wordless and it will cost a LOT! instead just buy 5 dollars piece or buy something like sennheiser and some headphone amps with it then it will be awesome again. same about chairs, if you really want something amazing, but herman miller chairs, yes they are good, comfortable, on the 2nd hand market they are cheap. If not, go to ikea, try some, and buy the one you like.
Except for mice and some keyboards
Emphasis on "some". Only a few mech keyboards actually care about debounce & latency. Apex Pro TKL & Wooting ones starting to use hall effect switches which are pretty good. But if you don't care about latency and stuff just grab a decent mech.
wait
I,ve never taken consideration latency on a mech
now im worried about my hardware...
(This is probs wrong chat to think about this lol)
Barely lol hbu
I do
i dont guilt trip over process food tho
and i'm bulking so im in the perfect situation
i have questions yo
i have migraines often and i’m pretty sure i get nauseous and feel like i’m about to puke after the migraines and this feeling won’t go away for like 3-4 days anyone have an idea what it could be
@ me responding plz thank u
have you been sleeping well @silver otter
i got home from boxing and felt a migrane coming so i went to bed around 10
woke up at around 12 and stayed up till 4 then had to wake up at 7
looks right @dusk swift
hm
might wanna raise it a little
if it's too low you'll hurt your neck or be slouching
the top of the monitor should be about at eye level when you're sat up straight
like the very top?
yea
not the screen?
kevin you know anything bout me

a little nausea after a hard workout is normal
if you're not in shape or haven't been working out as much recently
i play so much better when i sit up
but bad migraines and stuff that lasts 3-4 days isn't normal @silver otter
but i didnt think my monitor height was causing me to slouching
probably ask your doctor about it
its not a migrane that lasts 3-4 its my fucking stomach
every time i eat feels like im gonna puke it back up
only happens after migranes tho which is weird
what
that happens to me
when im about to get a mirgrane
i feel like im gonna puke
then when i get the mirgrane
i throw up
sucks
ergonomic chairs would be better than a racer chair im sure there are better options for around that price point
ah okl
Yeah you don’t need too have gaming in the name
Ergo office chairs are pretty much the same thing for way less
ergo is way better than gaming chairs
gaming chairs are kind of banking on the cool race car aesthetic
that doesn't really make sense for gaming purposes
because race seats are designed for the specific purpose of cars
Gaming chairs actually are dogshit though, not even playing.
They aren't bad, perse
But you're usually overpaying for a lot of useless features
I need help with RSI
I currently feel symptoms of rsi on my right hand
and I'm wondering what to do so that it wouldn't get worse than what it is right now
my right hand feels numb and tingly most of the time and feels weak as well
You should for sure take a break then
Im experiencing the same thing as well kind of
Its better to stop immediately before it gets even worse
Also dont skip out on going to the doctor if you can
Maybe @wraith wolf can help if hes on
@sterile minnow try to stretch before playing and inbetween session you night tense your muscle too much.
Also do you stretch when you do the lifting
@stone thunder jin covered most of it, just stop playing for around 2 weeks and identify what the issue is. Is it the tendon along your right index finger or your actual wrist? if its the tendon, use the mouse with your left hand for like 4-5 days and if symptoms continue for another week or so after that see a doctor. In the meantime you can buy some voltaren gel which will help with the pain for a bit
I dont really feel pain on my right hand (currently) it just feels numb since last night after i grinded a few scores
well thats good to hear, id still give it a break for a few days and be a bit cautious when you start playing again
Anything to keep in mind after the 2 weeks?
I'd rather just take precautions next time than risking injury again
take consistent breaks when playing kovaaks and do wrist stretches often
Thank you very much, i'll keep that in mind
no worries man, take care
im going back to being a tea boy because i hate how coffee and energy drinks makes me feel. some green tea or black tea makes me just as energized but not as jittery
Got good sleep last night and today I had major improvements
Who would have thought....
Do you guys think that this video would be helpful?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSZWSQSSEjE&t=169s
Learn how to do a handstand: https://gmb.io/handstand/
More wrist exercises here: https://gmb.io/wrists/
Preparing your wrists properly is one of the most important things you can do to ensure successful handstand practice. Otherwise, your wrists will really take a beating, ...
The video is oriented towards calisthenics though so I'm not so sure
do i keep training even when my arm is fatigued from yesterday ?
id say probably not. you wont get much out of training on a fatigued arm anyway @balmy fox
Depending on what you mean by fatigued. Training again the next day is unlikely to lead to any issues so feel free to do it if you want to.
how would i reset my sleep schedule?
There isn't necessarily a way to reset your sleep schedule
You just have to slowly change
If you're trying to sleep earlier, but you can't because you're not used to it, then you can take melatonin
To make it harder, to fix jetlag i womt sleep for 24+ hours. Then i sleep whenever i want. Then its fixed in couple of daya
how bad is it to play completely in the dark?
Mmmm eye strain
yes mmm
That def causes eye damage and dry eyes i think
No blue light filter feels pretty nice in the dark
8-9?
yep when i sleep less than 7 or more than 10, ill be dead for whole day, even sometimes next day. Of course if you do heavy weight lifting you might want to sleep 9-10 hours, but its the ultimate limit.
when i wake up my wrist feels like its burning any ideas what this could be?
could be sleeping with hands in weird position
lmfao, i tell myself ill go to bed early then i end up staying up regardless
but it is wat it is
@ionic atlas this you
yes
god posture
@snow ivy terrible posture
i'm sure at 40 ys old my back will be completely fucked
but it's worth it
worth the 119 vox
true
totally not worth it
Not worth when you can get better scores when adjusted to good posture
ik playing in the dark is bad for your eyes but having the lights on causes glare/reflections on my screen which strains my eyes i think, what can i do?
what are you using as a light source
you can buy like a desk lamp to illuminate the desk and move it around so theres no glare
Hi all, just started kovaaks like a week ago, after about 5-10 minutes in my wrist just feels tired and lazy/lethargic and seem to be slowly getting worse each day
Then i seem to have wrist strain for the rest of the night
@tulip abyss this is health
@tulip abyss look at sparky fundamentals guide
Best thing there is
Finally got into anatomy after it being full for so long, cant wait to share the information I learn with you guys to help
Congrats!
poggg
What’s up with compression sleeves? Are they useful?
No health benefits, just reduces friction from forearm and helps with consistency
They are said to increase blood flow
I haven't seen any real research on if it actually helps anything or not
ok ty
Need pro tips for better sleep
4-7-8 method did wonders for me
also don't drink coffee or anything else with caffeine 10 hours before bedtime
and from my experience when changing sleep schedule it's best to just go cold turkey
Does anybody here actually play with their elbows at a 90 degree angle?
Extending the arm provides more stability, making it seem more favourable
I feel like as long as you're not hunched back or have internally rotated shoulders, you should be ok
ye byee
what's the best cm/360 for health reasons?
Can someone link a wrist stretching routine or similar?
I am waking up to increasingly larger wrist pain everyday
@ionic atlas There's one in pinned
does anyone know why i'm getting forearm and sometimes shoulder pain
There's one in pinned
@vague sand thanks! I didn’t see there were pinned posts from mobile sorry about that
does anyone know why i'm getting forearm and sometimes shoulder pain
@paper lynx Bad posture?
I've been experiencing the same lately, stretching and maintaining proper posture helps
yeah it's a very weird pain in my forearm
@ionic atlas at 60cm, shouldn’t you be primarily using your arm?
i do primarily use my arm but i use my wrist to autocorrect
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH4n2qoI27Q you can see my hand in this video and all the others if you're interested in seeing how i use 32cm instead
go check my gm playlist, all tracking scens are done with a different mouse, grip and sensitivity
How do I get correct ergonomics?
If I sit with my arms at 90 degrees, my feet don’t touch the ground.
If I sit with my feet touching the ground, my arms don’t sit at 90 degrees and my shoulders are shrugged.
Wdym?
Standing desk?
I dont really have a standing desk right now.
I am getting a custom desk soon from a carpenter though.
So how would I make it ergonomically correct?
No
Lower the desk height
Use adjustable table legs
So your feet can touch the ground
And your shoulders can be 90 degrees
So i fight against a big caffeine addiction and stopped taking any caffeine to me since a few days. Im pretty happy and wont fall back into old habits. Now sadly my reaction time, focus and concentration is garbage. Anyone has any tips? like eaiting x helps with y?
i feel so tired like im drunk and all my scores go to shit
Caffeine?
@obsidian vigil
Like coffee?
Caffeine boosts your reaction time, but it’s not worth it. You just gotta eat healthy. There’s not much you can really do for your reaction time after eating healthy and exercising sadly :/
coffeine yes
Oh, powder?
just regular energys
Hm... yeah I wouldn’t drink those due to your health
yeah exactly
It’s ok to have a coffee every once in a while
thats why i stopped
But you’ll have to accept the lower reaction time
Oddly enough I have faster reaction time when I’m hotter
got organ aches and realised i have to stop
So maybe drink something warm or turn your temperature up a bit, not sure.
I only have like 200 ms reaction time and 180 on a good day
well its ass hot already here xD. maybe i try some tea
There’s really not much you can do
damn i have 165 now
Love tea
@lusty river ye tea is great
i take it back with reaction time, its rather about focus and im so tired
like im literally drunk, my eyes switch over and its hard to see the enemy
That’s good
@lusty river im glad
i sleep more then enough, really
You might be going through withdrawal from caffeine?
i sleep like 7,5-8,5
You might be going through withdrawal from caffeine?
@lusty river probably
alright
It’ll be worth it in the long run
I heard blueberries help with reaction time
Idk how true it is
But tbh just eat healthy
Fruits, vegetables, protein
yea i like blueberries a lot
good to hear
i think my reaction time even got better after switching off from caffeine
glad i did it
drank like 2l energy some days
yea its not good
you just had a insane focus with them and were insane concentrated
and that makes you addicted after a while
That’s the power of caffeine
but after a while i started to go to the supermarket every 2 days JUST to buy more so i have some for the evening
good
Im pretty sure i got my problem because of lack of water
i kinda forgot to drink water because im used to just drink 2l of energy / cola
some days i only drink like 0,5l water and thats it
get a water bottle
I know I'm late but I have to agree with muren, leaving a water bottle on my desk helped me get I to the habit of drinking during downtime.
whenever tracking to my right i have a bit of a stutter/shake. Is this just like a genetic thing or something thats mechanical that i can fix?
i pretty much fully arm aim btw
it doesnt really matter how fast or slow the target is moving and ive done research and its not me trying to anticipate the target moving to the left at all thats making me stutter
probably just need to work on your smoothness
its normal
you can do the smoothness routine under #resources to help and it'll go away overtime once you develop more skills
alright thanks, i've been doing it for a day or two now but didnt know if it would help or the shakiness is just something i gotta deal with
Anyone ever get a swollen finger joint from playing
Why does my wrist randomly start hurting really bad like I could be in the middle of the night I wake up and it would hurt I’m playing basketball it would hurt it never hurts when I’m gaming it’s weird
@violet swan That Dr Levi guy has good vids, not sure if he has one on posture but I would reckon he does
Also 1hpGamer has all sorts of game related stuff about posture, injury etc.
Oh yeah he is too
Has some pretty decent vids
do i need to change my grip if my fingers (ring and pinky) hurt after a while?
or would a different mouse help
do i need to change my grip if my fingers (ring and pinky) hurt after a while?
@outer star take breaks
@burnt goblet my right pinky joint is messed up cause of playing claw on controller. Its much bigger than my left joint and it's been this way ever since I stopped controller
@violet swan how long has it been like that and how do you grip the mouse with ur pinky now
I started kbm around may I think. I now ftip
My right pinky is also crooked and my left is completely straight
wtf
I downloaded kovaaks in june and put over 100 hours into tile frenzy and ascended tracking
Thx to some fortnite YouTubers
I was bronze till I found this server in July
@zenith rapids wat. Imo how recent you start kovaak shouldn't be like how good the person is. They can just have really good aim in OW as hitscan or experience quaker. Should easily hit diamond imo
@weak oxide no cause he said he came to kbm in may which is very recent.
i’ve been on kbm for about 4 years and still add
ass
ye no worries dude has cracked genetics
I'm in the market for a chair to be used for gaming
No one knows anything about chairs
Does anyone here know anything?
Is this even the right channel?
you should stay away from gaming chair they usually do their part but it overprice
I would reccomend office chair since they are intended for long period of sitting
Everyone has said this but no one offers advice beyond it
well i reccomend markus ,jarvfjall from ikea
No one recognizes my phrasing of "a chair to be used for gaming" instead of "a gaming chair"
otherwise you can also test sitting out on your local offic if they have
well because usually what do you want for a chair that used for gaming
customize-able
arm rest
because problem with office chair that not from ikea is like you need to buy used
or it can get expensive real fast. But the price you paying for is your back. And believe me a ruined back is gonna cost more than just 700$+
most gaming chair should to an extend support all those basic need
but there no really a good gaming chair that is as good as a high end office chair. The only good gaming chair i can think off is like the ones from secret labs compare to other brand i guess they still overprice but at least if you choose between the lesser evil
nods
Go try out chairs at a local office store if you have the option
I have a secret labs titan and while it isn't a bad chair I wish I had spent the same money on an ergonomic office chair
is the only way to lower the pain in my wrist to stop playing?
@ionic atlas go high sens, or put ice on your wrist maybe idk
@opal wigeon check out Ergochair 2, has a lot of features, only missing a synchro tilt.
Stock lift height is only ~50cm maximum but one can easily get an aftermarket gas spring.
Are shoots and leaves good for vrt
what are shoots and leaves
Like on trees
you eating trees?
my shoulder is hurting insanely bad whenever i move it even just an inch, yet i am a wrist aimer. what should i do and is this from gaming?
fix posture
mfers be eating bamboo like a panda
@sour valley that is almost certainly a posture issue. Could very well be to do with having your chair/desk not at proper heights for you.
get the saw out
^^ basically
i think i’ve got tendonitis any tips to fix it i use a model o mouse which is a bit small but i use fingertip grip for my mouse
if you think you have already have tendonitis the best thing you can to do is to see a doctor
you can look at this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JKKSBWXHM-V5C9gMhVFWQgsHwVLcVMgb/view aswell
but if it gets bad you should see a medical professional
thanks
no worries man 😄
Buy brace fast
highly recommend
bro let me hook u up @viral gyro

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is common but whenever I'm doing the daily game specific routine I find myself getting a slight headache.. I'm keeping myself hydrated and taking regular breaks so I'm not sure what's happening?
i'm having lots of wrist pain
i'm playing 9 cm 360
dont know if i should lower my sens
LOWER?
wait
im the stupid
you said sens not cm360
yeah try lowering sens
youre probably overusing your wrist for stuff that you really shouldnt be
go read the resource channel for some good wrist stretches n stuff too i guess
y i meant to lower my sens lol
9cm is very very low
i play pretty well with it but if that means that my wrist always hurts i'm gonna change it
Wtf 9cm per 360 is insanely high
So basically low sens kills your elbow+shoulder and a bit of wrist, high sens kills wrist and a bit of elbow + shoulder... what’s the best deal?
medium sens and do your mobility work I guess
anyone elses wrist get really sore and like it feels really tense after like 30 min of kovaaks?
idk if thats the best way to explain it but basically if i track or do really anything for too long i have to close it because of my wrist
for me that happens when I play stuff like 1w6t
idk how to fix or if i can, it sucks tho
maybe you're squeezing the mouse?
i think thats it but its hard not to
yeah you have to practice not tensing up your hand too much
and also when i track unless its really far or minor movements i dont really move my wrist, i do all arm so it does it then too (even if my hand isnt tensed then)
yea ill try that in a bit, consciously not tensing it
how high should my chair be ?
check pins
i know its not really important but what does vrt mean? i kinda figure the rt is reaction time but dont know what the v means
nothing important just curious
visual.
visual reaction time
nice auto correct mdr
other example of rt that isnt vrt would for example be
audio reaction time
@worn wolf
ah thank you thank you

Thought I’d just chuck this out there cause I’ve been helping a fair few mates from the OW community with their Squat/Bench/Deadlift form. If any of you guys feel like you need a bit of critiquing or tips feel free to HMU and I’ll do my best to help ya out :)
I’m still improving myself and learning more every day but I feel like I’m fairly knowledgeable in the area and should be able to help a good majority of people in some way
how hard should I be pressing my arm down on the desk?
should it be floating, VERY LIGHTLY pressing (so like floating but touching) or resting there?
Personal preference. I have my arm resting on it. Not putting any force up or down
i keep my whole arm on my desk and have done so for years and personally i just sorta change based off of what aim style im doing
if im tracking i'll keep my arm lighter so i can move around more without friction but if im clicking i yea just sort of let it naturally rest
Does u r elbow hang off ur desk?
if ur asking me no
Yeah. I have mine hanging off. I cant play with elbow on my desk.
idk why but when i was younger it was like implanted in my brain that my whole arm needed to be on desk, i probably saw some youtuber do it or something
like i removed the armrests on my chair so i could move close enough to have elbow on desk
take a 3-5 day break
thats what happened to me
maybe adjust the way you're gripping your mouse
or change mouse entirely
@lusty river pretty sure lightly pressing, your elbow should be at about a 90 degree angle which will cause that to happen naturally.
what does that mean?
90* angle
my desk is quite high
I have to set my chair low for my feet to touch the ground
meaning that my arms have to go decently high
meaning I can't have a 90* angle
@dull void
which way 90*? horizontal or vertical?
check pins
like if you looked from the side
you could get a footrest or adjustable desk
forearm should be parallel to the floor
ive never understood the 90 degree angle thing
im 6 foot and i sit up straight right at my desk and my elbow can not sit on top of my desk like in those pictures
Get a better chair and desk
Stop looking at gaming chairs
im just not tho
pain.
depression 👍
^
What temperature should I keep my room at?
I currently keep it at 67-71* Fahrenheit but I’m not sure if that’s too low.
keep it at a comfortable temperature?????
yooo must be nice to have a/c
it is man
But idk what’s the best temperature
When it’s 68 degrees it feels AWESOME
I’m cool, maybe a bit too cool
And then I feel like I can’t click or move fast enough
Like in the winter when you come inside and try to do something with your hands.
Then when I put it up to 75 degrees I sweat and am uncomfortable but feel like I can do things much faster
Just burn your wrists under running hot water: )
It works for me
My house is always cold
Ok thank you
What’s the best chair for my health?
Herman Miller Aeron/Embody?
I heard you can find some used for around $300
Health
How long should I be sitting down at a time?
Gl finding embody for 300$
i see a herman miller aeron for $400 👀
Just take it. Ask how is the condition or how long left for warranty. But they should last years
I came back from a 2week break because of rsi. Is it normal for my hands to feel tired after 30 minutes of playing?
if its still avaliable next month, i'll probably grab it
Got a Herman miller Aeron...worth every penny
Might be uncomfortable for a couple of weeks, but once your body gets used to it there is no going back. Also, use this guide for adjusting it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os1COApK0e8
Herman miller for $400 sounds poggers in my book
i find those chairs way overhyped/overpriced like people think gaming chairs are lol
@storm verge imo you just gotta have to test it yourself the different between gaming chair and high end office chair is reputation and huge warranty duration time. A well built gaming chair also gonna last you quite long but it all come down to how much support does the chair offer and ofc you gotta test everything out. I sat on some swedish office chair that cost around 400$ probably same price as my secretlabs and it is definately way more comfy and firm to an extend not just all sunken down
i havent been able to test it super long term. But ive tested it for several hours and its a damn nice chair just way overpriced lol
also when i think gaming chair i compare those to my $100 amazon gaming chair which is just fine
that why you buy refurbished or used
ik secret labs is overpriced af
secret labs is well built for sure but i wouldn't reccomend anyone. Unless look is needed
i just dont recommend spending $300+ more for a chair that does practically the same
but to each their own
but i also come from using folding/table chairs lol
imo chair and maybe table (unless you have ass table) is the best investment you can make for the money
because in the end you are sitting at your table and on your chair
more than you actually using the computer
watching youtube/netflix/twitch let alone actually playing
oh for sure on the table lol i bought an adjustable desk came in a few weeks ago
my shoulder and posture is thanking me
but yeah the chair is a little less as long as its comfy and good size
posture is more how you learn to sit properly imo
you can't really test a chair for a couple of hours to decide if it sucks or not
i said several
like 6-7 hours not 2 lol
and dont get me wrong ill definitely be investing in one in the future over a secret labs chair i just think its overpriced
you can't really test a chair for a couple of hours to decide if it sucks or not
couple of hours = 6-7
atleast 1-2 weeks
if im in the market for a chair, whats a good pick for around 150-300 bucks, idc if its gaming or not as long as it has adjustible or removable armrests
also whats like a good sweet spot price, where do the returns start diminishing for example are like 200 dollar chairs significantly better value options than 300 or could i get a pretty damn good chair for like 150
should i stretch my wrist before or after gaming?
Both
you do the mobility stretch before and static stretches after
Knarlzy got it right
thanks guys
@violet chasm which country. But anyway ikea markus is one of the best one in that price range
if you get lucky on craigslist/offerup etc you can sometimes find the $1000 office chairs for like $100 when they are doing office liquidation type stuff
God dam texit prefix
united states @weak oxide ok i’ll look into it
Any other good chairs in Ikea markus price range?
Also leather or cloth for the markus @weak oxide
@simple birch that is like for the cushion. It up to you i prefer cloth. Leather also wear out if you not condition it if you pay care for your chair leather is good imo.
How important is elbow support when gaming? Could I be holding myself back/could I injure myself without proper elbow support
@nimble plover some people have their elbow hanging. I personally dont think it a good thing in the long run if you have it on the table it still ok as long as your posture is still decent. But the best way is to get a chair with arm rest
alright that's what I figured, I have my elbow hanging and it's been bugging me a bit, and it would be nice to have elbow support so I will probably look into getting a chair
@nimble plover how long do you game per day. But regardless investment on chair is really good imo cuz you gonna sit there like at least 4-8 hrs if you on your game day anyway
I at least do my 1 hour of kovaaks and will usually play games for another 2-3 hours. If I'm not playing games I will a lot of the time be sitting at my desk as well
and on the weekend I will game for hours
@nimble plover more reason to buy a chair
chair time 😄
@nimble plover get a adjustable table that much sitting bad for u bro
stand up and play lmao
I don't have adjustable desk kind of money
if i reach my right arm out and go from palm down to palm up my shoulder often cracks and will keep feeling weird every time i do it.
what sort of stretches or other mobility stuff can i do to help that?
rotator stuff
might help
Im starting to feel a lil sore and some sharp pain in my middle finger
Mainly the proximal phalanges
Is it something i should worry about
someone else answer but any sharp pain like that is probably a sign of nerve stuff so be careful
any time you have pain lay off for a while
try not to use it until the pain goes away at the very least
does smoking cause shaky hands
During my aim training, my shoulder starts hurting so I am wondering if this is because I am not doing my stretches. But, if I consecutively train like this every day, will I start adapting and not feel pain in my entire arm?
Are you tensing up?
I actually think I am
Is there any way to reduce high tension?
I think that also effects my aim heavily as I start missing a lot of my shots during Click Timing routines
Square breathing to relax, and thinking about it.
Thanks!
I've a problem. When a try to track or aiming a tiny target, my hand shive. Someone can provide me help about this ?
it kind of happens to everyone cus its quite hard to move ur hand at a consistent speed for a long period of time
just try and improve smoothness and hopefully this will start happening less frequently
can anyone here recommend exercises to strengthen your hand in order to prevent injuries, e.g. carpal tunnel, rsi?
i dont mean warmup stretches - i already do those - but more like workout/muscle strengthening.
does such a thing exist? should i just generally work out my arms?
background: had what was likely an rsi early this year, want to do preventative maintenance so it doesnt happen again
general working out would be good, you naturally train your grip doing stuff like pulldowns and rows and hammer curls
you could try grip strength specific exercises though
and they do make devices for training your grip
im a bit worried that would make the pain flare up again tbh. if i keep my hand tensed for prolonged periods of time it usually gets worse
thanks, though
yeah if you had a serious RSI it might be worth trying to get help from a physical therapist
they would be able to guide you through strengthening it up without making any injury worse
i have no context for what a serious rsi is, but yeah, i might do that at some point
move mic to left side of desk, tilt kb more, that will give more mouse freedom
as long as i dont what now
Imagine using chair arms
@pale prairie
my parents own stores around my town and I have to deliver bananas to them. around 60 40 pound boxes. Gotta load them each time, take em into the stores
but getting into the sun and lifting and getting active helps me
ill come home most days so fucking exhasted
but on days were im not tired and got a small workout in
I play insane.
Try to go slow on some days
so you can come home and transfer that over
it pays off trust me
i only go 3days a week
I started changing my schedule with delivering to instead of 2 days, splitting the 60 to 30 for 2 days
So that way im not tired as fuck and I can come home and tear shit up.
i didnt go for a week cause i had knee pain and then it rlly hurts to aim sometimes
on one of those days go a little bit less, just do it to warmup your body. Not to push yourself and see how you feel
dont go as hard.
Have a day youre gonna go fucking ham and other days you need a break
pushing your body 24/7 is good, but also your body needs a break
every time? or split every time
oh okay.
hm
Ok
so on the part that hurts the most outta all of them that week
dont go as hard on it
so if your arms are sore, and you gotta train them on a friday
go slower.
Itll pay off and your body will catch up
my back was constantly sore because I was lifting wrong, I go super fucking hard sometimes when lifting those boxes and sometimes I have someone come help put them in the truck with me
just depends if I want help that day
my achings arent that intense cause i started going consitenly but after the corona quaratine i had problems moving lol
last week it was a 100 degree day and I lifted 56 into the VAN by myself and I got my fucking ASS kicked, came home and aim trained but I didnt do the insane scenarios
just basic ones
you gotta let your body do its ting
your body tells you how its feeling and whats good and whats not
I would go less hard unless youre feeling that good day
just gotta stay fit, getting out and doing stuff like that is really good. A lot of people in this discord probably dont even do that
I try to go into the sun atleast 10-20 mins everyday too. Sometimes more
it sounds weird, but my cat was a stray before we saved her. She always tries to sneak into my backyard so everyday I let her out and watch her for 20 minutes while she walks around
so also getting sun if youre not is so good
my body feels more awake when I do
just gotta stay fit, getting out and doing stuff like that is really good. A lot of people in this discord probably dont even do that
@thorn cedar would suprise me if a lot of people would do it. Probably the ones in lower ranks go cause if u go lifting for example your reaction time increases

I can't wait for my new glassese
